We stayed here for 2 nights for a sightseeing weekend in Rome. The hotel looks very attractive from the outside with classical Roman architecture and it overlooks the river with the dome of St Peters basilica in the near distance. the hotel was probably larger in the past and parts of the building now have other uses but these are... Checked into this Hotel June for 3 nights We were happy with the room we were given but soon realised there were better rooms with balconies. I spoke to reception staff to enquire how much to upgrade to the better room and we were offered room on the ground floor. This room had a much bigger bed and balconie and... More

It was our 1st time in Rome, so we didn't have an exact idea of where to stay. It was about 20 minutes by bus or train to both "old Rome" and to the Vatican City, very simple to get to and from! It has air conditioning, but doesn't get "cold" in the rooms, it's basically a fancy fan, but... More

Booked this hotel for 4 nights B&B, I am a Best Western Diamond member. Reserved a room with Queen bed, city view, free minibar and "VIP treatment". The bed was made up of 2 separate bases, the city view was of the street below (from the 3rd floor), the minibar was water, juice and a chocolate bar only (no alcohol)... More

Taxi 12 Euros away from main sites in "old" Rome. Seriously lacking from Best Western Standards. Clean very plain small room...not even a picture on the wall...view inside court yard. Bed hard ...small desk with two wobbly chairs. Could hear couple next door suffering with their colds. Hotel has elevators. Breakfast totally ok!!

Embrace public transportation! Once I had gotten over the desire to walk places and learned how to use the trams and subways, this was an excellent choice for home base. It is a short block walk to the tram, which is a couple of minutes ride from the piazza del popolo subway station. From there, you can go anywhere. This... More

We where here for 7 days, and it was ok.. A bit too expensive, if you look at the room size, and the bad breakfest! The staff is nice though, and it's close to the tram.. The mini bar is free, and you get a refill every day, and a room cleaning as well..

Internet description of the hotel was matching the "real world "situation! Staff was helpful, rooms were clean and ok. Breakfast on the 5th floor with a nice view. Only early in the morning it was very croudy but after 8:30 no problem.

staying here was a good experience. we got the balcony room. It was a slight bit noisy.. but not too bad. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff was nice and friendly. They had bag storage section free of charge. Wifi was free.

We've been here for the 2015 Tennis Masters at Foro Italico, witch is 15 minutes walk from the hotel, quite ideal for the long evening sessions. It's also close to the football stadium (Olympic Stadium) witch makes it also a great solution for going to matches... The area in the hotel is pretty quiet except the traffic at rush hours... More

Staying in Flaminio

Neighborhood Profile
Flaminio
The Flaminio area has been making a name for itself as a hub for contemporary architecture and art. Over the past decade, Flamino’s grassy knolls have seen the rise of cultural centers - amazing feats of architecture like the beautiful Ponte della Musica, the wavy contemporary art MAXXI Museum, and the futuristic Parco della Musica, a music complex where international names perform. Flaminio also has traces of the 1960 Olympic Games with Palazzetto dello Sport and Villagio Olimpico, the athlete’s Olympic village turned residential housing. If culture means a ball and a foot, keep your eye on the prize: Rome’s famed Stadio Olimpico soccer stadium is just a short walk across a bridge.
