We stayed at Hotel Astrid for 5 nights. It's a little outside the main centre of Rome, but this translates to either a 10 min tram journey (tram stops at the bottom if the road), or a 20 minute walk. The room we had was a double and a little snug, but it was comfortable and clean. Our room was... More

I'm in rome every week for business and I tried a number of hotels and found this to be the best value. Modern, clean, good choice of breakfast and flexible (i order skimmed milk everytime i stay). The inward facing rooms art much quieter than the external ones facing road, although these have a view of the Tevere. The breakfast... More

After reading previous reviews the Hotel Astrid was everything that it claimed to be. It was clean, tidy and just what we needed after for a city break. We got the train and then metro to piazza del poppolo to begin with and decided to walk along the Tiber to Hotel Astid (busy hectic main road) we would recommend instead... More

Clean, organized, helpful staff. Just 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes tram from Piazza del Popolo. Several good local restaurants. Near the Auditorium and the Teatro Olympico. We were comfortable here. Best thing is the fabulous view from the rooftop breakfast room!

We enjoyed a 3-night stay here. Main negatives were that the room was very small, the bathroom was badly proportioned, and walls are badly insulated so you can hear everything! Easy to access Central Rome by walking to the end of the street and jumping on the tram less than 10 minutes journey. Concierge and staff were friendly and helpful.... More

This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood location not ideally suited for sightseeing. Make sure you know the streetcar schedule as otherwise this location is tough to get to unless you're renting a car. Room was nice and clean, but the bed smaller than average and my feet hung over the edge (the desk said there were no other beds... More

My wife and I shared our honeymoon at the hotel astrid. Staff were very friendly and nothing was an issue. In some ways quite basic but this is a good thing as it makes you want to get out and explore, as the hotel is well located with excellent travel links there is plenty to see and do! My one... More

My daughter and I spent a week using Hotel Astrid as our base for touring Rome Aug. 29 to Sept. 6, 2013 and could not have been more pleased! While the location is on the edge of central we enjoyed the quiet locale at the end of our day. We walked a lot! Choosing not to use public transit in... More

The hotel was about 100m from the nearest tram stop, you could catch the tram to piazza del Popolo took around 5 minutes on the tram. From here you could board the metro or begin to walk to see the city. also just around the corner from the hotel before the metro there were a few good restaurants which are... More

The hotel is a bit north of the city center, but has a tram station in just about 2 minutes walking distance, that brings you to the piazza del popolo within a few minutes. From here you can start exploring the city easily by foot, underground or bus. The room a very clean and in good shape and also quite... More
