The hotel was nice and was to be expected for the prince range. Our initial room was extremely small. The front desk attendant, Josef, knew this and without even asking, offered to upgrade us to a larger room the following morning. This was very nice and completely unsolicited. Josef was very helpful and knew a ton about the local restaurants... More

On arriving at the hotel there had been a pipe burst and our room was flooded, we were given accommodation in the next door hotel. The following night we were given an upgrade and had wine put on ice for the evening as a gesture of good will. the upgrade gave us a recently renovated room with all required facilities.... More

Hotel Alexandra is a great choice for a Rome vacation, especially if you want somewhere comfortable, clean, and ideally-situated. We stayed here for three nights to finish off our honeymoon and it was a lovely spot. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming, and they know exactly what travelers need when visiting Rome for a few days, right down... More

This hotel was superbly located. Staff were friendly and helpful. The negative point was that the website and Booking.com pictures made this out to be of a higher standard but our twin room was poor and the bathroom small for 2 people. The decor was tired and the shower has seen better days. However the hotel is quite quirky and... More

The hotel is clean and alrhough the rooms are quite small, they are comfortable. The have air conditioning, a great issue taking into account how terrible hot summer in Rome is. The staff is good, and breakfast is well assorted. The hotel is at Piazza Barberini, steps away from the subway and many bus lines; and walking distance fron the... More

Staff were good, especially Joseph, very helpful and polite. We went for a meal one of the nights to Cafe Alex which was part of the hotel and we had to wait a long time before being served and felt an inconvenience, but when a massive group came in they set the tables together, got their drinks and menus before... Clean and comfortable! Room was small but we had a private patio. Right next to the metro. A great base for exploring Rome. Quiet, good AC -- tiny but workable bathroom. For the price, we were very happy. For budget travelers, be aware that there is very little in the way of cheap eats nearby, but there is a good... More

Okay hotel in the center of Rome. Restaurants and all historical sites are within walking distance. Rooms are clean and have air-conditioning. The room and bathroom are a bit small but when you are out most of the day this is no issue. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and is good value for money.

Hotel Alexandra is located along Via Veneto near Piazza Barberini. This is a great location close to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are bigger than most. During the hot August summer, the AC was working great. Internet reception was good but not great in the room. The breakfast was very nice,... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon in Rome. The hotel was lovely, it was modernly furnished throughout but the rooms held a charming subtle traditional decoration and architecture. We arrived at rome and we're immediately upgraded to a much nicer room with a balcony and spacious bathroom and bedroom. We were gifted a bottle of... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
