It was a find. Very reasonable. Convenient located between 2 train stations, close to all the bus stops, close to the spanish steps. The rooms were beautiful each one having a theme. Fantastic Digs - they upgraded us to a room with our own bathroom (didn't know you had to choose this). Service was exceptional. You need to be in... More

I stayed 3 nights at Casa Howard in the last part of my 10 days trip to Spain & Italy. You know when they say "the best for last",that's my opinion!! The location is more than great. The Staff who i met; Rowana, is an excellent helpful lady. The owner; Mr.Leonardi, is a wonderful gentleman who instructed me about useful touristic... More

We recently spent 6 nights at Casa Howard, Via Sistina, and our stay was truly memorable. My spouse discovered it from a review in The Guardian. Centrally located near the Spanish Steps and Piazza Barberini (and the metro station), we felt like we were true residents of Rome with our third floor flat. Because we stayed 6 nights, a car... We had a fight immediately upon entering with the owners. They had designated us to a room with a bathroom on the other side of the space rather than a room with an attached bathroom, which was what we had booked. The bathroom she was showing us was indeed a private bathroom but it was not attached- we had to... More

We stayed in the Zebra room at Casa Howard in June. The location of this hotel is superb and within walking distance of many of the main sites in Rome and also good shopping. There are some good restaurants a few paces away and enough small snack bars (more low key than restaurants) for inexpensive breakfast the Italian way (delicious... More

We stayed in the Zebra Room for four nights to see the sights in Rome before heading up to Orvieto. Casa Howard is very well located, being only a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. This made staying there very convenient. The lack of reception or hotel facilities was not as issue for us at... More

We stayed in the Zebra room which as much as expected. Furnishings were good, the shower was excellent. However, for two people with a lot of luggage it was a squeeze. On the second night we moved to the American Cousin room which has plenty of room. Again furnishings were good and the shower excellent. We saw most of the... More

We were in the green room and had a very comfortable stay. The location was good and the housekeeper Kristina was a wonderful help and made our stay very pleasant. The metro and the buses are very easily accessible from here.

We had The White Room - very nice (tiny but fine). Room had everything we needed (except for a bedside table on one side - handy when you have your morning cup of tea! - had to put on floor). Only hassle was having to trot down the hall to the bathroom and fiddle with key to unlock it every... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
