We booked this hotel on an attractive rate via Thomas Cook. Coming from Fiumicino, take the SIT shuttle bus on platform 1, for 8 Euro it takes you to Piazza Cavour, the hotel is only on 5' walk of the stop. We asked for a quiet room, but the first day we were dissapointed, there was a lot of noise... More

The location is just great, in the full center of Rome. It took around 10 minutes walk to bein St. Peter Church and around 30 to the center and Trastevere. The hotel itself is a bit old, and you can see it from the rooms and the bathrooms, but nothing too bad in the end. The AC did not work,... More

It's a short walk to Piazza Popolo and Piazza Spagne, just right behind the Palace of Justice. The Vatican is just over a kilomters's walk. In the neighborhood are nice restaurants and bistros and for those of you who perennially forget to bring chargers, there are a couple of computer and telecom shops. The hotel itself has a minimalist lobby... More

The hotel is really well positioned - 30 minute walk down to the collaseum and 20 minute walk to the Vatican. Really easy to get to both from the hotel and the hotel provide a good map. I went on my own not knowing any Italian and felt safe, good around well and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel I would... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Visconti Palace Hotel in Rome in July 2011. It was a great choice for us being that it was close to the Vatican and walking distance from the Metro train station near Piazza del Popolo. The open breakfast in the mornings was the best that we had in Europe during our... More

Modern, great location, handy for the sites but nice and peaceful with cheaper local shops, bars etc. Can't think of a fault, room nice, staff good, breakfast fine. Would stay again. More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of group attending a rugby international. From the outside, the hotel is quite understated. However the public areas are bright and welcoming and the bedrooms, whilst not grand, are certainly more than adequate. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was excellent. There are several good small restaurants nearby... More

The Visconti Palace is located near the Parthenon and other of the major sights of Rome. It is a modern 4star and I had no criticism of the facilities or service. The rooms are value for money in size, thy are well appointed and everything worked including excellent Wifi. The hotel tries hard to create a Roman feeling with portraits... More

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The people were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was a good spread from cereal, eggs, bacon, fruit and a few more things. Visconti Palace is within walking distance to many of the local sites. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back again. More
