We came to an unknown place and immediately felt at home. The welcoming smile on the face of the nice people at the dining hall, the help we could always have from the people at the desk, the nice clean tidy room we have met every day - all together gave us the wonderful filling of home and supporting on... more

We did a post Silver Sea cruise stay for three nights at the end of August and were delighted by this hotel. This is our third time in Rome, and we enjoyed this hotel the most of our past three hotels. Comfortable, quiet and a good value. Rooms were a decent size, good bathroom area and air conditioning worked well.... more

We just returned from another pre and post cruise stay at the Visconti Palace and I have to say I love this hotel even more than before. The location can not be beat, the staff friendly and the accomodations immaculate! The breakfast (complementary) was great and plentiful just like last time. We stayed one night pre cruise in a mini... more

This was our first trip to Rome and I purposely booked this hotel as it is walking distance to all major landmarks. The Spanish steps are about 9 minute walk, Piazza de Popollo is about 5 min walk; Vatican City is about 15 min walk, Piazza Novona is about 10min walk, Castle S' Angelo is about 8 min walk, Trevi's... more

I stayed for one night in July 2009 -- the location was excellent, about 15-20 minutes from the Spanish Steps and 20-25 minutes to the Vatican/St.Peter's. It is definitely a modern hotel, with a plush reception area and sharply dressed staff (though I found them to be rather cold and distant). I was moderately disappointed by the room, however, as... more

My mother and I stayed at the Visconti Palace in February of 2008. This was our first time to Rome, and Europe so we had no idea what to expect. Our trip was perfect! We arrived very early (about 8:30 a.m.) and checked in-fully expecting to be without a room until later in the day. The staff was wonderful and... more

I have just returned from staying at this hotel with my daughter. In spite of the rather austere exterior, we found the common areas of the hotel to be bright and spacious but our 'standard' room was quite disappointing and not a bit like the illustrations on the website. In fact we felt it was more Travel Lodge than a... more

We book this hotel last minute for a very good price. We were upgraded to a fantastic room on the seventh floor with a large private terrace with sun beds and a huge spa like bathroom. We were celebrating my husband's 35th brithday and were on arrival served a complimentary bottle of champagne and strawberries free of charge. The room... more

A good quality hotel in a great location (15 mins from Vatican, 10 mins from Piazza del Popolo). Got a good price (3 nights for price of 2) which included full buffet breakfast. Hotel staff very nice, friendly and welcoming, rooms clean and not too small considering the location. Good amenities, nice bar area including outside patio. Only slight negative... more
