I stayed at Visconti Palace for half a week on a business trip. It is a very good base for visiting rome. A central location with walking distance to a lot of the main attractions.Friendly and professional staff! I forgot my passport in the safe and they sent it back by registeret/certified mail free of charge for me. The type... More

We went to this off-site for our team off-site. We had renovated rooms, and these were very nice in terms of design and service. Breakfast in the morning is quite rich (for Italy), but no fresh fruit juice and the coffee was not very strong. Overall, staff was very friendly and helpful. The free internet access was too slow however... More

People at the reception were very kind, we got our room earlier than regular check in. Breakfast could be better, they have a wide selection, but average meals. The orange juice isn't real, the coffee neither. Location is exelent, but don't try to find a parking place. Don't even think to rent a car in Rome, everything is in walking... More

Nothing special. There must be better alternatives in Rome. Only the location is worth to mention as all sightseeing attractions are walking distance from here. Rooms were quite old and tacky. Far too expensive for what you get.

Just spent three nights at the Visconti Palace, overall it was a comfortable hotel, well located and efficiently staffed. Our room was on the fifth floor and I believe one of the refurbished rooms. A reasonable space with a large comfortable bed, and the bathroom had a good shower and plentiful supplies. The cleaning staff do a very good job... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in November. Really nice rooms, spacious enough and very clean. Breakfasts were great. Reception staff very helpful and willing to help. They recommended restaurants to us on two nights and they were both very good. Walkable distance to Vatican. Quite far from colosseum etc. Had to get taxis home at night time as quite far... More

We spent three days here prior to boarding a cruise ship. I did not think it was worth the price. We were able to walk to the Vatican but that was the only thing I can say that made it a good place to stay. It was clean and quite.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
