This hotel is not in the centre of anywhere, although if you are visiting the Auditorium Parco della Musica it's quite well-placed, although not ideal. Access is only via a staircase, so be warned, with more steps inside to even reach the elevators. The rooms are old-fashioned and can be very noisy as the hotel is surrounded, on two sides,... More

Hotel Polo is nicely located in the quite and elegant Parioli area. It's a bit worn out but breakfast is ok and clerks are friendly. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. What I could not tolerate about my stay, though, is that the 5th floor of the hotel was infested with refugees immigrants who smoked, drunk and played loud... More

Feel free to stay here if smelly corridors, stained carpets, unlit spraying showers and broken fixings are ok with you. If you do stay then bring your own coat hangers, make sure you have 3g and don't expect any wifi, don't need English speaking tv and its not hot outside. otherwise you will be fine

More than adequate for a short business trip. Comfortable and good sized room but small shower. Small bar/restaurant lacking in atmosphere and customers. Breakfast typical but coffee not good. Service efficient but not distant.

We booked through last minute.com wanting an extra night in Rome. We though at the price, and with 4 stars it would be very good but the hotel was very tired looking, the rooms very small and the location not great. It's a little way out of the city although there is a metro stop just 5minutes down the road.... More

Rooms are small but, hotel is clean and stuff is polite. To center ( via del corso ) it´s 15-20 of walk, small market is on the other side of road, and hotel is quiet part of city, but close to center.

Good service, 1 mile from city center. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, made dinner reservations for us no problem and arranged for ride to airport. One mile north of piazza del popolo, easy walk downhill. Would recommend!

The Hotel is, all in all, nice and has a fascinating dinner room. My room was ok and certainly well cleaned and prepared. Yet, the dimension of the bathroom (at least in my room) was ridicolous. This is not uncommon in Rome and other historical italian places, yet this one was really small. Not everybody of the staff was as... More

I flew out to stay with my husband who had stayed at the hotel for 5 days on business in April. I arrived and was met with lovely friendly reception staff who checked me in and made sure the room was ready for me to freshen up in. The room was quiet and exceptionally clean and the bed was large... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
