The hotel is well located next to the train line and it is easy to connect to the main piazza's. Staff were helpful and rooms were on the smaller side but were still quite nice and the beds were good. Few issues while we were there though: - struggled to get hot water in the shower on a regular basis... More

I had a good stay at the Polo hotel. We sent 3 nights there, nice breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, small bathrooms, but no worse than anywhere else in Italy. Hotel is in a nice quiet neighbourhood, and fairly easy to find via public transport.

Close to the Galleria Borghese. Short bus or long walk downtown. The location let's you experience Rome without being constantly overwhelmed by the hordes of tourists. Simple, clean rooms. Inadequate showers. Good Wifi. Very good breakfast.

This was our hotel in Rome, during a conference located at the auditorium de la Musica, we stayed 4 nights, double room, with a small bathroom. The shower cabin was very small and certainly if we were obese couldn't get in there. The bed was comfortable but were 2 single beds united... The staff was nothing special, just doing their... Stayed 2 nights at the Polo Hotel during a quick stop over in Rome. I stayed in a side room overlooking a construction site, which had totally clouded over the room's window with dust and grime, making it feel as though there was no window at all. Some more frequent window cleaning therefore desperately needed! The room was clean &... More

The hotel is rated 4 stars. Perhaps it can be considered a 4 star in the 80's but now it is just old and not renovated since a long time. I cannot say that I have had a bad stay at all: room was silent and broadly clean. However I need to consider that I benefited from a last minute... More

Spent ages looking for a good hotel close to the above congress and found this hotel last minute. If you dont plant on being in the hotel that much, it is a really great location (3 min taxi ride). Room was dated and had no idea how to open the blinds, shouldve asked for help :)

This hotel is not in the centre of anywhere, although if you are visiting the Auditorium Parco della Musica it's quite well-placed, although not ideal. Access is only via a staircase, so be warned, with more steps inside to even reach the elevators. The rooms are old-fashioned and can be very noisy as the hotel is surrounded, on two sides,... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
