We stayed at the Polo hotel for 2 nights last week (Oct 15-16 2009) and overall were very pleased with the accommodations. As mentioned in some other reviews, the Polo is located in the Parioli Quarter just North of Villa Borghese and is just a few blocks South of Piazza Euclid, ...about a 5-6 minute walk to/from the hotel. Piazza... more

Everything about this hotel was adequate but staff have a lot to learn about "customer service" and being pleasant to guests. We felt like we were an imposition and they had better things to do than their jobs!!! If you're a true tourist then this is too far out in the suburbs. Accommodation met our needs but we wouldn't stay... more

This hotel was part of a package tour September '08 and found it too far out from the city centre. The air conditioning was switched off every night we were there from 2.30am until 5.30-6am which was noticeable as the room got stuffy and we had to open the doors out onto the deck to get air flow. Their reasoning... more

After being stuck on the runway for almost 3 hours and arriving at our hotel after 2 in the morning, I was still willing to muster my best broken, yet polite, Italian upon arrival at the hotel. I never anticipated the rudeness with which we were greeted! By the end of the check -in process, my boyfriend and I felt... more

As it was my second travel to Roma I was a bit anxious about the accomodation since my last experience in another Parioli area hotel was terrible. What a surprise!!!Polo was almost just what we wanted. We were informed about the walking distance from main attractions and it was our choice to stay that far. It's about half our walking to Spagna via... more

I booked the hotel before reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. After checking up on them I was worried for our stay in Rome, but came to find the room, staff and hotel in general was very good! As we came to check in (in the morning), we got the key to our room right away from a smiling and helpful... more

Quite an impressive-looking hotel in a good district just north of the Villa Borghese. However, although described as being in a tranquil area, it suffered from a lot of road noise, being sandwiched between two busy commuter streets. The public areas were well decorated and furnished, but our en-suite room was cramped, particularly the shower-room. The space between the wc... more

Very unfriendly staff, much noise downstairs,so we moved upstairs, the 5th floor is the best. The whole day from 5.30 till 1 in the night you feel the noise and trembling of the metro in the neighborhood. We never go there again, although the beds are very clean and the tiny small bathroom also. more

We stayed in this hotel because we needed to be in this area of town for business, and got a very good deal on it from Expedia ($100 per night). However, this is not where you’d want to be for a leisure visit to Rome, unless you planned to spend your whole time at the Villa Borghese. The neighborhood is... more
