We found the Oxford was a really good hotel: virtually all the staff spoke english and were genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was of a good standard - including a safe (-no extra charge), fridge, air con as standard. WiFi is free in communal area but an extra charge in the bedrooms (-no big deal). The Tv channel choice... More

Love the Oxford Hotel. Have now returned twice. Yes the hotel is vintage, yes the lift is tiny, but these are not complaints, they add to the charm. It is Italy at its best and friendliest. This time the front desk staff in particular were exceptional. We had taken three rooms, a triple, a single and a double. All were... More

Hardly recognised the hotel after 40 years. It has obviously expanded in the upper floors. Lobby free wi-fi very good.A/C in room excellent. Would like to have seen full English breakfast, rather than the continental style. A/C in lobby & reception needs improvement. We stayed 3 nights but had nowhere to unpack clothes into, eg no drawers. More

I had researched this hotel before we went and was impressed with what I found, but when I got there I was a little disappointed. I don't really understand WHY this hotel is a 4 star, but it seems that every hotel in Rome is at least a 4 star! It was quite old fashioned in side and the rooms... More

We thought this was suppose to be a four star hotel but in fact it was more like a 2 star. The elevator is super small they might as well not have it. But when your room is on the 3rd floor you need especially when traveling with an toddler. The rooms looked nice on line but we must have... More

The Hotel Oxford was pleasant and in a good location. The staff was warm, polite and welcoming. The room was small but comfortable, since we were only there to sleep. However, the shower frightened me because there was nothing to hold onto and I was really afraid of falling, though I didn't. Breakfast was great and plentiful. More

We stayed in the Oxford Hotel for 6 nights. The lobby was large, cool en we were received on a very friendly manner by the staff. We could enter our room immediatly. The room was small, but very clean. It was cleaned every day en the bathroom was very clean. The towels were soft en changed every day if you... More

I just took a trip to Rome with my family & we rented 4 studio apartments from the Hotel Oxford on Via Piave. The rooms were clean & attractive. We had a beautiful view of a quiet street where we could eat breakfast every morning. Maid service always seemed to be buzzing around if anything was ever needed. The water... More
