La Residenza three things that a savvy frequent traveller needs, whether business or leisure. It's at a killer location (within minutes walk from Via Veneto if you're in Rome for business or upscale shopping weekend or theatre), an elegant and tastefully decorated small hotel and professional staff. Spagna, Villa Borghese, Teatro Del Opera all within walking distance. If you're not... More

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 grown boys. Hotel located near main attractions and metro station of Barberini. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty of it - opening hours are a huge plus (06:30 till 10:30). Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms need a serious rework to modern standards - need to get rid of the Blue tiles.... More

Fantastic hotel very easy to find and a great location 15 to 30 minute walk to most attractions. The decor of the building inside is very nice and all the ceilings have some nice art work on them. The front of house employees all speak excellent English and were very helpful advising on places to go and what times were... More

Stayed at this hotel twice and was lucky enough to stay in the same junior suite room both times. The room was very spacious and has an amazing terrace. Helpful and friendly staff, air conditioned, wifi for 5 euro for your whole stay, amazing breakfast buffet included every morning. I can't say enough about how great La Residenza is! The... More

This small hotel, within walking distance of the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain, is a hidden gem. The staff is always helpful with good informatiion, maps and caring. The buffet breakfast that came with the room was sumptuous. It included several meats, lots of fresh fruits, eggs and other goodies. The room was comfortable with a private bath. I... More

We enjoyed our stay at La Residenza very much. The staff could not have been more helpful. They're obviously used to helping American tourists. They really helped remove any language barrier we may have had. Incredible breakfast - - i mean, incredible. These reviews don't lie. The breakfast is HUGE and fit for a king and included in your stay!... More

This is a great choice for a hotel in Rome, if you you want very nice, but don't want to pay a fortune for it. Every morning, there is a wonderful buffet breakfast served with eggs cooked to order, toast, breakfast pastries such as croissants and cream pies, yogurts, fruits, coffee, juices, milk. Surely you would pay 15 to 20... More

50 years ago I studied in Rome for a semester at Loyola University's Rome program, now called the John Felice Center. A group of well organized fellow alumna decided to plan 6 days worth of 50th reunion activites - in Rome - so many of us could not resist the call to come and participate in such a wonderful occasion.... Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
