Travelled to Italy for the first time with my wife and my son (20 Years) and My Dad. I thought I looked at the reviews for this Hotel VERY carefully. When we got there we saw Prostitutes on the street corner all night long, located right across the street from the Hotel. As the night went on we noticed the... More

The management and staff at this hotel are excellent and the buffet breakfast served is second to none. I stayed in a Junior Suite, room 401, and loved that it was a quite room with a quiet (wonderful) terrace outside. In early November, the weather was sunny & warm in Rome, which meant needing only jeans and a tee while... More

La Residenza is quaint, or old-fashioned, but a delightful way. Very comfortable with a very helpful staff. Located centrally and near some very good restaurants, museums, and shopping. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Rome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel in Rome. It has true old world charm and our room had an abundance of space that was very unexpected. The hotel staff was very pleasant and always kind to our children (ages 5 & 7). The breakfast buffet was beautiful and had everything you could imagine. We were a 10 minute... More

We last stayed at La Residenza 17 years ago, we returned because we had enjoyed our stay so much in 1998! They offer an amazing breakfast in a lovely setting. The choices include a multitude of fresh fruits, juices, breads, meats, cheeses and sweet rolls, or if you prefer a hot breakfast, they offer eggs cooked to order, among other... More

We stayed here four nights during our recent stay in Rome. The main floor includes the reception area, as well as numerous other sitting rooms, all well appointed with Persian rugs and comfortable leather couches and chairs. The staff is courteous and very helpful with advice on restaurants and travel plans. Our room was very comfortable, except for the shower/bathtub,... More

La Residenza is a hidden treasure and bargain right in the midst of tourist attractions such the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, outside cafes, and shopping. It is hidden because it is quietly located just one block from busy Via Veneto where all the above mentioned attractions are located. Thus our location was pleasantly quiet. Also, there were several pleasant small... More

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Yes, the location is excellent; rooms spacious and lovely condition. As or perhaps more important is the front desk staff. They are really there to assist and make your stay in Rome enjoyable. We were weary from the long flight when we arrived, but Vincent was able to get us settled into our rooms quickly... More

The hotel is perfectly located a few blocks away from the main train station and Termini Metro station in Rome and across the street from Santa Maria Maggiore. It is a nice boutique-style hotel, with update rooms and all the necessary amenities. The front desk staff were extremely helpful; providing maps and the locations of all the major attractions without... More

La Residenza three things that a savvy frequent traveller needs, whether business or leisure. It's at a killer location (within minutes walk from Via Veneto if you're in Rome for business or upscale shopping weekend or theatre), an elegant and tastefully decorated small hotel and professional staff. Spagna, Villa Borghese, Teatro Del Opera all within walking distance. If you're not... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
