The nastiest place in Rome. The staff was rude, the rooms were HELL due to mold and dirt. It was not cleaned at all and the beds must have been used for years. TUI (our travel agency) said they have to keep the hotel in their program because of the pope. When there is an big event every bed is... More

The Hotel is 100m behind the spanish steps. Restaurants and attractions all close by especially shopping. The hotel however is old like everything else in Rome. The carpet is worn out at reception area and the elevator is extremely slow.on the positive the rooms are of good size. The bathroom is old and i recall the pillows were dirty(stained) but... More

We booked WAY in advance for 3 rooms with adult children and, got a great 3rd party rate -- got there and was told no room.. water problems. While there making other plans they accepted reservations! They also told us they had ere-booked us into better hotel down the street...the Hotel Trinita del Monti. The room had peeling wall paper... More

Very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed 4 nights here and besides the location, this hotel falls short on all other criteria, including cleanliness, service and comfort. It is very noisy here, the rooms are incredibly old-fashioned and the walls and furniture were marked with dirt. I had to ask the cleaner to vacuum the carpet and there is no... More

This is an older style hotel with good sized rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff and a great location close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It is also close to a bus stop where one can catch many of the hop on/hop off city bus tours. there are a number of great little restaurants around the hotel. The down... More

Went to Rome for the weekend and stayed at Hotel King for 4 nights. The first night the Air Conditioning was not on. Called the front desk and they said it was illegal to have it on. Asked to speak with the manager and was told he will be there in the morning. Left a message for him to call... More

The hotel is very nice and simple. The quality of the rooms is high compared to the prizes. It also has a cosy roof top with view all the way to Skt. Peters church. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient.

THe hotel is not the best you can stay at but it's one that will be enough for your needs if you are going to stay there for some days. It's enough to take a bath and seize the day in Rome. I will surely come back (as I already did).

I recently visited this hotel with my mum and aunties, although this hotel was very outdated decor wise our trip was a very pleasant one. Our room was spotlessly cleaned each day, the beds reasonably comfortable and in our room (316) the shower was heavenly. The staff were beyond helpful with all our requests, adding an extra pillow, a tap... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
