This is an older style hotel with good sized rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff and a great location close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It is also close to a bus stop where one can catch many of the hop on/hop off city bus tours. there are a number of great little restaurants around the hotel. The down... More

Went to Rome for the weekend and stayed at Hotel King for 4 nights. The first night the Air Conditioning was not on. Called the front desk and they said it was illegal to have it on. Asked to speak with the manager and was told he will be there in the morning. Left a message for him to call... More

The hotel is very nice and simple. The quality of the rooms is high compared to the prizes. It also has a cosy roof top with view all the way to Skt. Peters church. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient.

THe hotel is not the best you can stay at but it's one that will be enough for your needs if you are going to stay there for some days. It's enough to take a bath and seize the day in Rome. I will surely come back (as I already did).

I recently visited this hotel with my mum and aunties, although this hotel was very outdated decor wise our trip was a very pleasant one. Our room was spotlessly cleaned each day, the beds reasonably comfortable and in our room (316) the shower was heavenly. The staff were beyond helpful with all our requests, adding an extra pillow, a tap... More

The hotel is very simple and old. There is a cinema near by and the noise can be very loud till 11 pm. The location is great. The breakfast is very poor. With no fruits or vegtables. Piazza bernini is 400 meters away and the metro from there is very good.

This hotel has some strong pros and cons. Pros: 1) the location is amazing. Down the street from the top of the Spanish Steps and up the street from Piazza Barberini. Lots of food and shopping options on via Sistina, and even more at Barberini. Taxis, buses, and the metro are about a block away from this hotel. 2) air... More

Long walks from reception to the rooms in the back with steps up and down, but nice room, good comfort and quiet. Price level quite okay - breakfast like often in Italy nothing to brag about, but plenty to fill you up.

Although close to the metro and the Spanish stairs, I would say it can be disappointing to stay here. The rooms are very small, not kept well and the wifi does not reach all the places. So you some people might be lucky and be happy but you could also be unlucky!!. So it depends on you if you want... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
