Firstly location..excellent...That's where it ends basically everything else was just terrible. I have been in many hotel rooms in my life but this is far the worst by a country mile. Walked in the room and it was back to the seventies not a picture in sight on the walls, an old cupboard to hang your clothes in that an... More

Stayed here twice within a 5 week period start of trip & end of trip. Both rooms were smelly, old, bathroom mould, stains on the walls and very very basic. No ice machine was available, elevator out of order & when your on the 5th floor, doesn't make for a very happy stay. Wifi was out of action due to... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, the location is absolutely fabulous - very close to Spanish Steps, Trevi etc, everywhere within walking distance. The hote room was rather dated, but clean, fresh towels daily, i stayed for 4 nights, and my bed linen was changed after 2 days. The staff are very helpful, I had... More

On arriving to my booked hotel (Hotel Alexandra) I was told they had no space for the forst night of my week long stay in Rome. I was disapoonted but egger to get to my room and back out to meet my friends. The staff at Hotel King are helpful and friendly but that doesnt change the fact that it... More

Very nice hotel at the heart of the Rome. Great location and value. Many restaurants in the area and subway just a cross the street. The breakfast a bit more than average for European standards... Rooms a bit old but nice and have everything required for the day-to-day stay. Great service and nice environment. As I mentioned - great from... More

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year now but I'm ashamed to say it has been something I have continually put off.Maybe because I felt traumatised! The experience we had in this hotel beggars belief and I'm absolutely astonished that there are positive reviews submitted for this hotel. Succintly, we arrived about 8pm on a... More

We had an amazing 3 night stay at The Hotel King this week. A truly wonderful experience. Our room, on the 4th floor had the most amazing terrace with fantastic views. Thanks to Roberto for recommending Carlo Menta Trattoria in Trastevere, had an amazing meal there.

This hotel was very clean and the staff helpful regarding any issues or questions. Its location was so close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and is very very close to a train station. The breakfast on the terrace was an absolute delight and I would definitely stay here again , if visiting Rome

When I read some of the reviews here about this hotel, I left for my holiday with some trepidation...the photos suggested that it was going to be an awful stay. When my husband and I got to the King Hotel in Via Sistina, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, the room and the rest of... More

Location and the staff at this hotel were great. Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and very friendly. On the down side as most other posts have stated, this is a very old hotel in great need of restoration and TLC. The rooms (we had two) could have been cleaner, they were what I call surface clean but... More
