I had read the other reviews but until you're there you won't understand how far from the center of Rome this hotel is. Near the hotel is nothing except houses, so you'll have to bus or taxi everywhere. I used the bus and had no problems, but factor in the time. A multi-day metro pass is worth its weight in... More

Stayed for 3 nights in November, 2007. Located in a residential area in the northern part of Rome. Very quiet area which was very nice. My single room was average size for a single but was 1 1/2 levels which was a little odd. You entered the room and had a small desk and bathroom and then went down 8... More

What a fabulous hotel! Situated in a quiet suburb north of Rome, this hotel is quiet, modern, and comes with a most gracious and helpful staff. Just being able to sleep in a quiet neighborhood, far from Rome's eternal noise was an enormous gift in itself. But the hotel is elegant, and the staff is outstanding. They gave me an... More

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and we stayed at the Hotel Delle Muse in Rome for 7 nights. We requested a room with private bath, a tub, no smoking and quiet and we had such a room. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are somewhat stark. I don't remember... More

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel in October, 2007. The service is excellent, the staff gracious and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet is generous. All in all it would be the perfect hotel except that it is located so far away from the rest of the city. We had to allow for... More

We recently stayed at Hotel Delle Muse. We found the staff extremely helpful. It is a bit out of the way of central Rome but with buses, metro and taxis it was still relatively convenient. If you want to be right in the heart of all the main tourist attractions this is not the place, however, we felt very well... More

How fortunate to have found this hotel during a search of the web. my family of 4 had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 8 nites in july, 2007 The staff were beyond helpful in their desire to create an atmosphere that was so friendly. After 8 nites we departed as friends. The room was spacious and easily... More

This hotel would be a fine place to stay, if it were only in the center of Rome. Some reviewers seem not to have minded the combination bus and train that it takes to get into Rome by public transportation - our party of 4 found this tedious. We ended up taking taxis to and from the city center each... More

This charming hotel has the most welcoming and helpful staff of any we dealt with in our Italy travels. My sisters and I were traveling on our own and felt very well looked after during our stay here. True, it is located in an out-of-the-way section of Rome, north of Borghese Park, but at the end of a busy, crowded... More

First time in Rome in a few decades, I wanted to stay away from the vast crowds of tourists and hawkers, and the Hotel delle Muse was a good choice. The room was large and well appointed, with a good bed, small but excellent bathroom - and great breakfast! It's on a bus route to the centre of activity -... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
