Found this hotel after hours of research and what a gem. Not over priced, well located, very clean. Staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast is excellent as is the rooftop bar. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

The Artemide Hotel in Rome is excellent in every measure but especially in the friendliness and professionalism of their staff. The hotel is located in a very nice area of central Rome only one block from the main train station and a quarter block from a metro station. The area is very safe with many restaurants and shops. The hotel... More

We went for our honeymoon in early December. We got a pretty decent rate on a Comfort Double and were upgraded to a "Deluxe". The staff are lovely, the restaurant / bar was actually quite reasonable for a hotel and the location is brilliant. The room was quiet, clean and well-equipped, and the wifi was excellent. As was the free... More

We stayed at the Artemide Hotel because of favorable reviews on trip advisor. We stayed for five nights and had a great time. We had three rooms on the fifth floor (511, 514, 519) and they were very clean, quite and comfortable. The beds were firm, but that is the way we like them. The bathrooms we very modern, bright,... You will not believe how well you are treated at this hotel. Let's start with breakfast. It was one of the best buffets I've ever seen in a hotel. The staff was very nice. One staff member, we never got his name, we just called him the "pastry pusher" guy went above and beyond to make sure we were taken... More

My boyfriend and i stayed in this hotel for 5 nights on our visit to Rome and we couldn't have been happier. upon entering the hotel we were greeted warmly at reception by a woman who explained everything we needed to know and provided a map and located all the points of interest for us. the room was large and... Our family of 5 visited Rome from 22 to 27 November and stayed at the Artemide Hotel during this time. We picked the hotel based on reviews in Tripadvisor and our expectations were met or exceeded in every way. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly, caring, warm and efficient without no exception. Staff at the front office,... More

The staff are welcoming and kind. The hotel itself looks very trendy. The rooms were pleasant and the hotel provides free drinks in the mini fridge every day which is nice. It is located in a convenient place walking distance to some attractions.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Artemide for a week. We had a room with a king bed on the courtyard side of the building. While there was no view, it was extremely quiet. The staff is phenomenal. Desk and breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant. We could walk to... More

I highly recommend this hotel! Before we even arrived in Rome, they had contacted us to see if we were interested in a private car picking us up from the airport. Since this was our first time in the city, we thought it would be worth the money to do this (I also highly recommend this!). The hotel itself is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
