I stayed here for two nights in a recent trip to Rome. From the moment I arrived the staff were excellent. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is on Via Nazionale from which you can walk to the Spanish Steps, Colosseum and other main attractions. It is also a ten minute walk from the Termini metro/train... More

I enjoyed the breakfast and all the staff in the breakfast room were very professional and courteous. Rooms and bathroom very clean and nice amenities. I used the airport pick up/ drop... More

Lovely Hotel centrally located so you can walk to most sites. Staff very accommodating in just wanting to help you and make your stay enjoyable. Buffet breakfast was wonderful and one day we were leaving early for a tour and staff put together a breakfast for us to take with us. Room was lovely, clean and very confortable. Small fridge... This hotel is excellent...it is located in a perfect spot on Via Nazionale a 5-minute cab from the Rome Termini. Since being remodeled it's even better than when we stayed there in 2010. Rooms are not large, but free wifi, satellite TV, and the daily breakfast (included in the rate) is first rate. The rooms are very clean and quite.... More

On a recent vacation to Rome we stayed at Hotel Artemide for 3 nights. The location was convenient (short walk to main train station, less than a mile to coliseum), the room was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed, and a FREE minibar. Fitness center was small but well-appointed. Breakfast was very nice, and the rooftop restaurant was excellent--we ate... More

Nicely appointed hotel. Great location for our needs. Friendly staff. Can't say enough how terrific the morning breakfast staff was. There was a gentleman who would bring special dishes to each table. My husband and I thought that was a nice touch ( my scale doesn't though). We also really enjoyed the restaurant in the evening. The room was a... More

Booked this hotel in advance of visiting Rome. It has just been redecorated so looks amazing. The room was a little small but when you are out all day this is no problem. The room bar was a little oasis at the end of the day to relax and soak up the sun. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and... More

Dear Aronjt, We are happy to hear such high praise of our recent remodeling work. It is often difficult to retain the classic charm of a historic building while bringing it as up to date as technologically and stylistically possible. But from the positive feedback of many of our guests, we believe that our architect managed just such a feat!... More

So pleased to have found this hotel, based on trip advisor reviews by others. Was there for three nights with my wife and received a room upgrade at check-in to a suite which was terrific - very modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. As others mention, the free mini bar is truly free and restocked every day. The breakfasts have... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
