Located few steps from Metro Cavour, five minutes from the Colusseum, close to lots of nice bars and restraunts and yet is just out of the "touristy" area of Rome. The staff were excellent. The front desk staff all spoke very good English and were happy to help with recomendations for enjoying our trip to Rome. From the moment we... more

The best kept secret in all of Rome with lots of local hidden restaurants all around where the locals eat. The front door is merely but a few steps from the Cavour metro which you can access 90% of the tourist spots from. Although we checked out in the morning, our flight wasn't until late in the evening. The hotel... more

This was the first hotel we stayed in Italy. By now, we've stayed in four and will stay in one more. Location is central and convenient for exploring Rome. Hotel front desk staff is just superb. Angelo and Max helped us all along - to find tickets, make reservations, show directions, explain bus schedules and plan our days better etc.... more

After reading the WIDE range of reviews, with much trepidation, decided to go for it. I am so glad we did..Yes, we did have to haul our bags a block from the main street, due to construction...but as soon as I got to the lobby they sent someone to help us. Yes the elevator is small, big deal, beats using... more

We made it to Rome and found our hotel pretty easily. They gave great directions online and we were there in maybe 10 minutes. Apparently the people that have put reviews saying it is hard to find, did not follow the directions given. The hotel was very nice and the staff was extremely helpful during our whole stay. This room... more

Just returned from our first family trip to Rome, and Duca d'Alba was the perfect base for exploring the city. Slight apprehesion as we approached down a small side street, completely forgotten as we entered the hotel. Early April with ongoing (but not intrusive) renovations close to completion, I think this hotel is a litlle gem. Perfectly clean, depsite the... more

This was an awful experience the room was not clean. The bed and bathroom were dirty and continued to be for the remainder of my stay. I did not feel comfortable, want so ever in this hotel. The website is very deceiving because the hotel does not look like what is on their website. The location was good but not... more

We chose this hotel for our last night in Rome as a bit of a slurge on our budget thinking it would be nicer. Room was decent size, bathroom was nice, but entrance was horrible, due to construction on the streets, and cab had to drop us off about 1/2 a block away from entrance and we drug our suitcases... more

Dear Madame and Sir, we want to thank you for your comment that helps us to improve our service. The construction on the street are a "Comune di Roma (municipal authorities)" work to fix some water pipes in the underground. They promised us that their works will be finished within a few days. We are sorry for your waiting to...

Based on the previous reviews/suggestion on this page I booked the hotel through Venere.com webpage. The location of the hotel is excellent, there are several restaurants and shops near to the hotel, as well as, the Covour metro station is just 20 mts ahead. Good things from the hotel: - Easy to access - Free Wireless internet service - Friendly... more

Thank you to the hotel staff! Mom & dad, grandmother & three teens stayed here over Thanksgiving.Excellent location, with fun bars, wonderful chocolate & candy shops, very Roman antique dealers, fancy & homestyle restaurants...you can not ask for more. except a metro nearby...oh! There's one two cobblestone blocks away! And the area is unequaled if your hope is to immerse... more
