Super easy location just a minute's walk and one subway stop away from the train station - plus no stairs if going to the train station (not sure about the other direction since I didn't try that). The neighborhood has a good selection of restaurants, including several Indian places if you want a break from Italian food, and cute shops... More

Small rooms and a firm bed. Very nice staff, English speaking. Excellent breakfast and the location can't be beaten. Close to the Colesium, within walking distance to everything, metro, history, resturants and gelato. It has very narrow little stair ways, no elevator, but very charming.

The staff were all amazingly helpful & friendly - from the receptionist (Tatyana who seemed to work 24 hours a day for the entire time we were there!) to the porter to the breakfast staff. The room was tiny, but it was only used for sleeping in, so adequate! Breakfast was great (hot & cold) - I do like a... More

Dear spakky7, We are very proud of your enthusiastic words about Staff and breakfast. It happens that a Guest meets the same Staff member because of shifts, of course they do not work 24 hours but yes, they work professionally and with joy, each of them: Reception, breakfast room, floors, they are kind and ready. Thank you for enjoying and... More

Stayed here for three nights Ina work trip. Lovely area with bars cafes and a short walk to the colosseum area. Breakfast was good, my room was small but what made the strongest impression was the warmth and helpfulness of the reception - Tatiana, Romeo and others. Grazie mile

I stayed here two years ago and came back again when I was in Rome for a week in November. This hotel is well located, walking distance to all the main attractions in Rome. The room was really comfortable, quiet, had working air-conditioning and nicely appointed. The bathroom was large and clean. The breakfast (such was included in the room... More

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our Italy trip. The room was clean and modern although could be a tad noisy at night (finding a quite room in Europe on a budget is very difficult to do). We were surprised at just how close we were to the Colosseum (5-10 min walk). There were tons of... More

Great location, nice room, good people at the desk, location central to many great attractions, convenient to metro and train station, nice neighborhood. Less transients than other neighborhoods. Many acceptable restaurants within walking.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
