My daughter booked for us to stay for a short break as birthday gift. I think the hotel is in a great location very short walking distance from Cavour Metro. We were very pleased with room 403, very clean, nicely decorated, decent enough size. No complaints about noise. I found the breakfast good, lovely scrambled eggs. Hot choice boiled &... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and found it the perfect base for exploring Rome, as every thing you would want to see is within walking distance. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed in B2 which is the annex next to hotel. It was very quiet and we slept very well with no disturbance at... More

We travelled here for a 3 night rome break. Location - excellent. Near the colosseum and walking distance to Cavour station! Staff - very friendly and helpful Breakfast - very average. Basic and fresh. This is a small hotel nestled away in the back streets. Very cosy. They have a strange policy that your room is only made if you... More

While the room was small, all hotels in Europe will be unless you pay an arm and a leg. Our first night we had no problems at all and breakfast the following morning was very nice. The second night we got back from a long day and at about 1100 pm (2300) after being in the room for about a... More

A stone's throw away from the Colosseum (which by the way is the most awesome place on this planet) and right next to the Cavour Metro Station (for easy access to/from FCO Airport), Duca D'Alba Hotel was a pretty decent place. It was within walking distance to all the touristy sights and close to some pretty sweet restaurants/gelaterias.* The staff... More

Having this be the last stop of our European Honeymoon, we had already experienced small quaint rooms all throughout Europe, so we weren't expecting this would be any different and were very satisfied with everywhere we stayed previous to the Duca D'Alba... What we got was, upon arrival, the hotel in the picture is NOT the real thing. The outside... More

Dear Illyken, we are sorry for the very bad experience you had in Rome, we read your feedback and we have difficulty in recognizing Duca d'Alba Hotel in your words. We are so surprised that we can simply say that Hotel Duca d'Alba is not dingy: the building is small and elegant, it is even signaled by the italian Agency... More

This is a small, cute hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable enough. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Location is near Termini station, restaurants, pubs, metro station and the Colosseum. We found breakfast time always crowded therefore uncomfortable. One day they had to re-arrange the living room area so that guests could sit down for breakfast.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay, staff super helpful - great place. Right near the colosseum and several cute shops, pubs and pizza places just downstairs. Off the main road too so it was quiet.

Having done my research well and read the numerous excellent reviews on TA, I would dearly love to leave a glowing account of our stay here,,,,however having booked two double rooms (myself and my wife & my son and his girlfriend) for two nights were told on our arrival that there was a problem with the water supply and we... Great hotel with fantastic service, delicious breakfast, outstanding, outstanding location, and extremely clean rooms with a very spacious and hip feel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone without a doubt. We stayed in the adjacent building directly next door and commented upon how every time we came in and out it was like we were going into our own... More
