The hotel is in a good location, with 10min walk to the colosseum and some nice churches. It is in a quite neighbourhood and not right on the main road, which has the advantage that the nights are peaceful. There are some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood too. The staff was nice and wifi connection was good. If you are... More

I can't find fault with this hotel, for a sightseeing holiday to Rome it's absolutely ideal. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were very good indeed. Placed as it is just a few minute's walk from the Colosseum it's in the perfect location for starting and finishing a day exploring the city. Coupled with... More

For what you pay it's good value. Room was a good size for Europe, very clean (could smell the cleaning bleach when you walked in). TV is hopeless but you shouldn't need it and the rooms have wifi. Staff were friendly enough, not chatty, but vi have had worse and room was quiet, bed comfy - no problem sleeping. Best... More

Nice, normal hotel, not fancy, so not for the picky ones. But the location is absolutely great. Very close to Colloseum – 7 min walk and from there you will have easy access to all transport means to go wherever you like.

Rooms are small and have not been updated recently, but they are clean and the bathrooms are large and very clean. Hotel receptionist was not helpful when we tried to order dinner at the hotel (although they do not serve dinner there). The location is great - close to two subway stations on the two different lines, less than 5... More

We arrived straight from the airport in a minibus transfer (€15 each, bargain and easier than train to Termini!). The receptionist was a little surly at first but he got nicer and nicer every time we saw him! Our room was a little tatty round the edges, but it was very big and the bathroom was very generously sized as... More

We had a very small room compared with other neighbouring ones which were costed at the same price; loose elec' sockets; tired decoration throughout; needs a thorough cash injection and plenty of TLC. We only booked it because friends had already done so for a group wknd birthday party away. Looking around, there are much better hotels to choose from,... More

We had a few little problems with the hotel unfortunately. The air conditioning kept us up, as it would turn it self back on after we'd turnt it off. The room needed redecorating as bits of skirting boards were missing. On our last night we had a blackout on our floor, which didn't help. The staff unfortunately are a mixed... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
