My husband and I stayed at hotel Lirico before and after our cruise. We would highly recommend this clean, well-run hotel, well-located just under 10 minutes walking distance from the train station (termini). We especially appreciated the hospitality of reception staff Tony, Massimo and Michelangelo. Late evening staff not as friendly and stingy with giving us an extra bath towel.... More

My family and I stayed here for just over a week. The hotel itself is nothing special per se, but the staff make the place great! The rooms were small, but this is typical of the region. Despite the size, we were able to easily sleep all of us in the triple room. The taller people used the sofas, while... More

Amazing price for being so close to all the sights in Central Rome. Close walking distance (5 minutes) to the railway station and then within easy walking distance to 'Trevi fountain', ' republicca vittoria' 'pantheon' & piazza novonna' . We only had a stopover in the city flying in late afternoon and leaving back for the airport at 12:30pm but... More

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Lirico June 25 - 28, 2014. It is a great small hotel within walking distance to many of the historical sights in Rome. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in answering our questions. They gave excellent advice as to the best metro station to take to get to the Vatican (Repubblica train... More

Staff helpful. Gave good restaurant recommendation. Gave maps and advice. Great location. Breakfast was included in our room price and had nice meats, cheeses, breads and muesli. It was solid, ethical business in a city which is better known for the opposite. Rooms were very quiet. The opera had a performance (which we didn't attend), but the patrons were dressed... More

There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores in the area. Nice small hotel, beautiful spacious room 206 with the Opera view. Absolutely no noise from the street.very clean. There are pros and cons for Hotel Lyrico. First the pros. You can easily reach Hotel Lyrico from Leonardo da Vinci airport in Fiumicino by taking the train to the Termini station, and then walking about 15 minutes. Check the hotel's website "location" tab and you will see how. Upon arriving at Hotel Lyrico, we groaned, because there before us... More

The location was great, 5 minutes from the bus station/termini station. The street was full of lovely restaurants however there was a lot of rubbish/grafitti in the area. Tony the receptionist was brilliant! He gave out very good recommendations for places to eat/drink. The rooms were really clean and a good size, however we had room 216 and had a... More

We had a truly relaxing stay in this compact and very well appointed hotel. The warmth of the welcome was as we hoped for having read reviews. Our room 315 was shining new, comfortable but lacked a chair albeit that there were cushion seats with the dressing table, a small observation. Our host Tony and his team were first class... More

The best attributes of this hotel are the location and the staff on the front desk. The hotel is located one street back from Via Torino close to the Basilica of St Maria Maggiore.
