Been in Rome few times already and familiar with the hotels and standards in the ciy. Lirico has a very good location by the opeta house at the tremini and metro stations. A very good price, ok breakfast, safe and clean rooms with good and attendive employees! Some room refurbishment would have been a plus! However considering that when in... More

My wife and I stayed here this month for a three day stay. There was good and bad. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was also very good. There was a good variety. Dear customer, First of all we want to thank you for choosing our hotel and for commenting quite positively our services. We understand the inconvenience due to excessive heat in the city, but as repeatedly confirmed by meteorologists, this July is the warmest of the last 150 years in Rome !! This heat has sent down one of the two... More

Recently myself and my wife stayed here. In true sense this is value for money. Extremely prime location. Breakfast is very elaborate. Roma Termini (railway station is less than 10 mins walking distance). Staffs are polite and helpful.

Room was good, clean and as described, shower temperature switched between boiling hot or freezing cold so not great. Air con is pretty good. Restaurants near by and the rooms are not noisy from traffic which was good when sleeping! Cramped eating area but good food. Staff were friendly upon checkin but not very helpful or welcoming afterwards when making... More

Well located, very close to the bus/train station. For most of our stay we walked everywhere on foot. Rooms were clean and the service was quite helpful. They have good prices out of the high season and give a discount on next stay. We recommended this hotel to friends who were staying there too.

Spent three nights at the hotel this summer. Its an average hotel. Firstly, the reception is on the first floor and there is no lift to take you up so be ready to carry your suitcase up a flight of stairs ! The room we had was pretty small. The walls are covered with cloth which makes it very dark.... More

I loved the location and the staff was great, fantastic breakfast and nice rooms with a view. Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable at all and you do have to haul your luggage up a flight of stairs. There are great sights and restaurants nearby, just wish i could have slept better during our visit.

Returned from this Hotel after a very nice four days in Rome, it is convenient and quick easy walking distance for all major attractions in the centre about 10-15 minutes, we only used public transport for the Vatican but again this was probably only 45 minute walk. The train station is approximately 10 minutes easy walk. The Hotel staff are... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
