This hotel is a simple hotel but the location is very good and the price are cheap too. May be you can find better but you have to spend much more. The staff is friendly and helpful and the room was clean and this was enough for us

The Lirico is situated about 10 minutes walk from Termini Station. As you walk down Via Del Viminale from the train station it's on the right hand side close to the end of the street. The reception is on the first floor so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. If a porter is available they will carry it... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Lirico twice in the last 6 months. It's great value for money! It is located close to Termini (which makes a late arrival from the airport or an early departure, very convenient); it is also located close to most of the main tourist attractions, the staff are very friendly and helpful and it provides... This hotel is located in an excellent place. Everything is close. You don't need a taxi if staying here. And there are a lot of restaurants near by. The rooms are very Roman by style. Not exactly my taste at all, but the bed was good and the rooms were clean.

When we come to Rome, we have no questions in what hotel we will stay. It's always Lirico. Cozy home atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Near Termini Station (convenient transportation) and directly opposite the hotel there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, a very good restaurant for dinner Strega.

Great little hotel. Free wifi. Air conditioning—felt great after being in the hot city al day. Free breakfast—simple but good; breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice/tea/coffee, meats, eggs, cheeses. Hotel is close to the Termini and relatively close to all the major tourist sites (Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, colosseum, etc. The staff was friendly and held our luggage on check out... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
