My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of October (2014). The hotel is in a very good location. Its very close to Termini. Its also in a safe area of Rome. We walked around at night and never felt uncomfortable. There are many reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance and a very convenient convenience... More

Spent 5 days on holiday in Rome with a friend and stayed in Hotel Lirico. Nice atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, clean and cosy rooms. Excellent location near Termini (when coming from the airport and also to get tube/metro) and close to all local attractions, we walked everywhere! (20-30minutes). Nice continental buffet breakfast, plenty of options! Will definitely stay over... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November 2014. It was a great base for exploring Rome, with most attractions being a 15-20 minute walk away. The rooms, although small, were comfortable and clean. The rooms were immaculately cleaned everyday. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was my favourite part of this hotel. It had a... Nice and clean hotel near termini station. The hotel has walking distance to most attractions in the city. All from 5-45 minutes to walk. One of the closest attractions is the national roman museum. Vatican was the farthest away attraction we visited. The Staff was very friendly and service minded. The breakfast was simple but good. The hotel room was... More

Very near to Termini Train Station. Ca. 20 Min. walk to Trevi Fountain and 30 Min. to Colosseum. Old building but in goos conditions (inside). Book online on their website, it's cheaper! Breakfast was ok, nothing special.

The hotel is very close to Termini, which is a great starting point for all parts Rome.. Michelangelo, his brother, and staff were very accommodating. They were helpful and gracious. Everyone spoke excellent English and everyone greeted us with a smile. My husband and I do not have one negative comment. But, then we always treat all people with respect... More

Wow, when we arrived at this hotel all I saw in front of me was this huge staircase and no elevator in sight. Before I knew it the bell person was there to lift our very heavy suitcases. Our room was very small but okay. We accessed it by an equally small elevator one at a time.I understood why we... More

Dear Guest Thank you for gave us your time to write you review about us. We know that our reception located at first floor could be a little problem, but we think that 20 steps are not so terrible. We are located in the historical centre and many hotels cannot change the entrance for prohibitions by the city administration. Our... More

This is a great hotel in a perfect location, just 10-15mins walk from the main Rome train station and is actually next door to the opera house. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
