Hotel is a good for their money. The room and facilities are unassuming. But hotel has very strong advantages, there are: very good location, low price for a room per night and very-very-very helpful and friendly stuff. Also there is perfect coffee at the breakfast in hotel.

We were looking for a hotel within a close walk of Termini to maximize one day in Rome at the end of our Italy trip. Lirico was a great choice and met our needs. Room - We ended up with a top floor room that was much more spacious than we expected. There was a separate sitting room in addition... More

We stayed at the Hotel Lirico in November and it was our first hotel in Italy. We were looking for a reasonably priced small hotel that had an "Italian feel," rather than a large "American" hotel and we were not disappointed. There is a flight of stairs to walk up to arrive at reception but we didn't mind. The hotel... More

Hotel is in a great location, close to Republic station, but within walking distance of the Coloseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps etc . Our room had a view of Teatro del Opera which was very nice. The room was fairly small but had everything that was required, staff very friendly and breakfast nice. Would definitely recommend.

Spent 5 days on holiday in Rome with a friend and stayed in Hotel Lirico. Nice atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, clean and cosy rooms. Excellent location near Termini (when coming from the airport and also to get tube/metro) and close to all local attractions, we walked everywhere! (20-30minutes). Nice continental buffet breakfast, plenty of options! Will definitely stay over... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November 2014. It was a great base for exploring Rome, with most attractions being a 15-20 minute walk away. The rooms, although small, were comfortable and clean. The rooms were immaculately cleaned everyday. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was my favourite part of this hotel. It had a... Nice and clean hotel near termini station. The hotel has walking distance to most attractions in the city. All from 5-45 minutes to walk. One of the closest attractions is the national roman museum. Very near to Termini Train Station. Ca. 20 Min. walk to Trevi Fountain and 30 Min. to Colosseum. Old building but in goos conditions (inside). Book online on their website, it's cheaper! Breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
