The hotel is in a perfect location to visit the city, near public transport (train, metro and bus) and a short walk to Trevi area. The room is clean, breakfast good. Nothing extraordinary, but for the money you pay it's more than enough. The only not so good things are that the walls are rather thin (at least on 5th... More

I have stayed here before but this time, I came only for the night. I took the train from the airport to the uTermini. The Termini is an easy walk to the hotel . Early in the morning I had to return to the airport for my flight. I was told that if I wanted WIFI in my room I... More

For a reasonably priced trip to Rome this hotel is highly recommended. It's a no-frills place, but the staff are very friendly and helpful, the bedrooms are clean and comfortable and there is a nice feeling about the place. The only downside for us was that breakfasts were so busy that we struggled to get a seat on a couple... More

It`s not an extraordinary 3 stars hotel, but It is a safe option compared to so many other european 3 stars. The location is good. Close to bars, restaurants and the subway is just one block away. It is also close to the Termini Train Station. If you prefer to walk to explore the cities, this is a good option... More

I've just come back from the Patria and to be fair, I emailed the hotel to request a quiet room on a high floor and that's what I got. But, the room was the size of a box! No room to swing a cat! And yes it was a single but even for a single it was tiny. One single... More

We tsayed here on a city break, the location was good , close to metro and bus routes. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the city. We had the Yellow Room on the ground floor ,which like all Italian city hotels was compact but perfectly adequate for our need - ery cool which was a joy... More

I and my husband visited the hotel in September 2015. We were given room 111 smallest room in the hotel. With a view of staff toilets and dirty sheets and handbook. Not a good value of money. Disappointed with the hotel. We booked it on booking.com where it did not mention we had to pay taxes at the end of... More

The staff are very kind and nice, the room is too small, they never change the linens and never clean the floor! The smell in the hotel is really bad, like in the old century !too many sweets in the breakfast ! Not a lot of choices to eat! The man in the breakfast room is very nice, we highly recommend to start... More

Hotel Patria is a simple hotel, The rooms are very small and the bathrooms even smaller. I stayed there for 3 nights and even if they made our beds they never cleaned the rooms or the bathroom. They don´t have free WiFi at the rooms, just in the reception area that tends to be very crowded for that very same... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
