Excellent price and location is perfect for exploring rome on foot: less than 10 mins from termini station, coliseum, 20 mins to pantheon, trevi, 35 mins to vatican, trastevere. Safe, quiet, clean. Breakfast is what you expect in italy... if you want more there's reasonable restaurants down the road.

Reasonable price hotel in decent location near main station and coliseum. The pro's include aircon, a sun garden and some superb restaurants and shops just outside (see my other reviews). However, the beds were a bid 'campy', everything felt a bit cheap, we had a minor ant situation towards the end of our stay and the breakfast we just about... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and for letting us know where we have room for improvement. The hotel is safely and securely located in the heart of ancient Rome on the Esquiline. The decent location you mentioned is called "Rione Monti" try to google it to have a better idea. We're glad that you had... More

Booked this hotel after reading online reviews and would happily stay again! Stayed for six nights in August with two teenagers when it was very hot !!! Good welcome and lots of information given about locality and maps given to us which proved very useful. All staff spoke English ,some better than others but communication was not an issue at... Pros: essential air conditioning. Quiet street with great restaurants and bars on doorstep. Arranged a driver to take us to airport. Lift. 24 hr desk Cons: poor breakfast. Small bathroom, tiles grubby.

This is a sweet little hotel. Run by a friendly family and in a great neighbourhood location, it is only 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum. It is located in a quiet little street lined with good restaurants. The lovely man at Reception (Michele?) couldn't have been more helpful. It's a budget option but a good one and I would... More

What a lovely little family-run hotel, perfectly located, friendly and comfortable. The bedroom had the added benefit of a huge, well-equipped bathroom, and most importantly efficient air-conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered a 24-hour desk service. The continental breakfast was a little samey, unusually served at table, rather than self-service. But there was plenty of it -... More

I enjoyed staying at Hotel Tirreno which is close to train station, bustations and main touristic places. Clean hotel, nice reception staff, the breakfast could be just a little better but is fine, although basic, the rooms are impeccable.

I arrived via the airport bus from Ciampino at Termini Station, and left Rome on the train also from Termini, so the Tirreno was ideally located an easy 10-15 minute walk away. The room was basic but comfortable and clean, and had a terrace which was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was continental served to you at your table. All of... More

We enjoyed our stay at this well run hotel, apart from the steep walk back in the evening although that is something you cannot avoid in Rome, and found it well placed for the Colliseum side of town and also it's nearness to Termini without being too close. Our room was better than what we expected with a large bathroom... More

Stayed here from thurs 18th June until Sunday 21st. The hotel isn't much to look at and you wouldn't notice it unless passing the quiet streets but it was ideal. Room was standard. Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
