although I probably would not stay here again, I would still recommend it for someone needing a cheap hotel in a convenient location. When we checked in it was around 10 am, and our room was not available. we were in the process of getting our clothes out that we wanted to change into, when the front desk clerk said... More

Stayed at Tirreno Hotel a few days before and after my family's Mediterranean cruise. Exactly the type of hotel we were looking for. We wanted something that wasn't like the fancy hotels in the states. It's on a small quite street, but is located perfectly to the termini and a good majority of the top attractions. Quite a few really... More

Good choice for a family of three just trying to see the major sites of Rome in a few days. Quiet street, close to Termini train station, the Colosseum, and subway. (Vatican is a 20 minute subway ride from the stop nearby.) Two or three very good restaurants right across the street if you're tired from walking all day and... More

After over a week in Italy, this hotel was as expected. I think most hotels in Italy are over starred by one compared to North America. The goods: Location within walking distance to almost anything Appeared clean Front staff friendly The bads: Breakfast limited to bread and jam Noisy outside No a/c Recent half attempt at renos from a 70's... A small, simple, quite and clean hotel, close to the Termini Station (less than 10 minutes walk)and the Colosseum (less than 10 minutes walk). Quite rooms and nice Italian breakfast. Wlaking distance even from city centre if you like to walk.

If you want a boutique style hotel with chrome, designer shower gel and fake smiles, you won't want to stay here. If you want a hotel with a friendly helpful staff and clean spacious rooms that is located close to the various must-see things that Rome has to offer, then this hotel is perfect. We have two pre-teens and usually... More

The Tirreno Hotel is perfectly located between the Termini Station and the historical center of Rome. Great value for money and a friendly staff make every stay a pleasure. 2014 was already our sixth stay.

This was unfortunately the worst luck we had with a hotel, and we're generally pretty generous with our reviews. Although the hotel is located within walking distance to transit and main attractions, the immediate area really offers nothing. The wi-fi in the hotel didn't work which was a huge let down for us. When questioning the staff, they admitted that... More

The continental breakfast includes: fresh croissants, bread, all kind of jams, nutella, biscuits, crackers, corn flakes, coffee, cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate and red orange juice, very common here.I remind you this is a 3 stars hotel. This place proved to be a good hotel to see all of Rome with easy walk to central station. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel was also quiet with friendly fron reception staff. Well suited to travellers who are on a budget.

The location was excellent. Neighborhood was fine. Close to nice restaurants. A couple of blocks from the Colosseum. Walking distance to the Metro. The front desk staff was friendly helpful and nice. Breakfast staff was disgruntled. Breakfast itself was poor, dry pre-packaged cookies/cereal/bars, croissants/rolls were dry. The bedroom will definetely do with new mattresses. Recommended if you are looking for... More
