My wife & I and our 23 year old daughter spent a week at the hotel. It's a ten minute walk from Termini Station and 3 minute walk to Repubblica Metro and bus stops, so it's an ideal location for getting around. Daily buffet breakfast was nice, with hot and cold choices. Close to liquor store and great deli. Cotto... more

My husband and I had stayed in several different hotels during our 18 days in Italy. This was by far the worst. We had no other problems, complaints, complications etc until we stayed here. The biggest disappointment was that the rooms are not upgraded with a secure entry. it is still to old fashioned key on the key ring. So... more

Booked Hotel Mondial because of its Best Western affiliation and from the reviews i read it seemed to be well located. Hotel is very close to Termini station and within walking distance of the major sites and there are a couple of nice restaurants very nearby. Check in went OK hassle free. We were assigned room 301 which was very... more

Good things - great walking distance to the Termini station and general points of interest. Lots of nice shops, cheap food places (great little cafes on Via Cavour serving fab paninis and sandwiches) and bars, and an excellent very modern restaurant next door to the hotel that does a brilliant lasagne, gnocchetti and tiramisu. The guy on the front desk... more

We stayed at the Mondial in Rome for 2 nights in November. There were certainly cheaper hotels but we paid the going rate for a 4 star hotel in Rome seeing as we wanted to have a really enjoyable and memorable trip. We weren't diappointed either, the hotel was pretty impressive inside, (you could see where your money went) and... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights around Christmas; the lobby, staff and room was very good. Staff was more friendly than expected. The early check-in was also no problem (I suppose we were lucky). The location is good - halfway the train station and the real down town area. Quite a few restaurants and shops in the area... more

Hotel was central to all areas a daily bus/ metro ticket can be purchased for 4 euros, plenty of little tavernas around, without being too expensive. The hotel staff are friendly all it takes is a smile and you will get whatever you require, tea and coffee facilities in your room are free just ask, also slippers, face flannels and pillows.... more

We stopped at the best western mondial for 3 nights 29th jan-1st feb. This was our second visit to rome and we were amazed at the cost of things. The poor exchange rate was probably to blame, but £50 in a taxi from Ciampino Airport i thought was a rip off. The hotel itself is located just off Via Nazionale... more

I was anxious about having booked this hotel (c/o Airmiles) after reading some of the reviews on this site - but heartened by more recent ones just before our stay. In fact we were delighted with the hotel - it may be a bit old and tired looking, but it was clean and comfortable, with a warm atmosphere. Our room... more
