The walls were thin (I could hear noise from other rooms), but overall a very nice stay with kind staff. Good location near the train station and other sights. You can make the rooms really dark for sleeping in!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of our trip to Rome. This hotel was a last minute reservation for us. We chose it based on Trip Advisor ratings, location, as well as the price. Although the hotel is dated, it seemed like a very typical Italian decor. The location is ideal to be close to... More

this hotel is a typical BW hotel (you know, the lower catagory rooms) - but clean and all ok. It has a fantastic reception area. And the price is as cheap as BWs are. The surroundings make it a perfect place to start your every day trips throughout Rome. In walking distance to Termini Train station, close to the shopping... More

Absolutely loved this place! The room was spacious, air con was really good, and the double bed we had was huge! We were provided with extra blankets and pillows which was good, and the safe in the room was free to use. The bathroom was great, really clean and modern. The only downside was the fact that we didn't have... More

Because of this hotel we, as long term members of Best Western, will never use the group again. It is difficult to know where to start really with this hotel. It has been said by so many travelers . The staff were all arrogant and rude - all. The receptionists were the most unhelpful rude, arrogant staff we have come across... More

Pros: good location, can walk to landmarks, or metro is close. Generous sized rooms. Complimentary breakfast. Free wifi. Helpful reception. Restaurants close by. Cons: no room service. House keeping left room half undone every morning. Not enough blankets on bed. Could hear people next door talking. And street side can be loud. Decent price for the location, would I stay... More

We stayed here because we wanted to walk with our luggage from the train station. That worked well, though we took the long way around. We also could walk easily to the Pantheon (3/4 mile) and some other sites. Not romantic, but very functional. We went to Florence for romance. We used Uber in Rome to get to more distant... More

I called this hotel in the middle of the night due some mix up at my original booking with other hotel and asked for a room. Gentleman working there was very helpful and fixed us a room for the night and the rest of the weekend. We arrived shortly and went to our room. The room was spacious and comfortable,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
