5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

After our stay in a hotel in Florence that rated themselves a 4- star, this one was a really pleasant surprise, and exceeded our expectations by far. The only drawback I can think of, was that the shower stall was really small, so a big person wouldn't be able to fit in it. Everything else was perfect, and really great... More

I enjoyed this hotel! They are very kind, the facility is very nice, and they have a fantastic shuttle service! The shuttle is much more reasonable than a taxi. I enjoyed it very much! I am certainly hope to have the opportunity to stay here in the future!

Overall the hotel provided good value for the money: conveniently located near transport, free basic breakfast, free wifi and clean, comfortable rooms. The welcome from the male desk staff was polite and professional. However, like previous reviewers I had an unpleasant check out experience with the female desk clerk. She demanded that I pay the tax component of my stay... More

Stayed for 3 nights in late June. The hotel is nicely located near the Metro, and not far from the train station. Our room was plenty roomy for two. Very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. Even though we were on the street side of the hotel the room was quiet. Breakfast was good, with good variety and fine service.... More

I stayed in this hotel end of June 2015 for 3 nights. I was in a triple room with 2 of my friends. The room was a good size, clean and bathroom was spacious enough. Mini fridge in room was nice to have and free wifi! The concierge and door man gave us a few delicious suggestions on where to... More

The hotel is very close to the Metro (Repubblica) and major tourist Bus (40, 64 etc). With roma pass it made our visit so easy by taking either metro or bus. The hotel room is huge, and very comfortable. Free Wifi signal is strong in our room. AC is very strong when we stayed there for 4 nights at 95... More

We stayed here late June, originally we booked another hotel near Bernini fountain however my credit card number has been compromised so I no longer trust the hotel we originally reserved. Found this hotel on expedia and good price, $421 CAD for 3 nights including breakfast. The best thing is the location which it is between walking distance of Termini... More

We stayed here in July 2014 and paid 100 EUR/Night which is a very good price for Rome. Best thing about the Hotel is that it is close to Main Train Station (Termini) just 500 meters away. Good Location, Good rooms, good price.

Ive stayed at various Best Western Hotels all over the place and find that you get full value for money. Mondial is well located close to Stazione termini. The rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms. Breakfast is very good for an Italian hotel and internet in the rooms is fast.

The walls were thin (I could hear noise from other rooms), but overall a very nice stay with kind staff. Good location near the train station and other sights. You can make the rooms really dark for sleeping in!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
