This was our 7th stay at the Hotel Mondial in 12 years (we visit Rome every two years for the rugby). This time we took our teenage children for the first time. We have always liked the Mondial and feel that small improvements are being made every time we visit. I booked direct with the Mondial by email and the... More

i think the title says it all. But then too, let me point out some details. Located in the heart of the city, a 15 minute walk to the colosseum, less then a minute from the famous street, 'via nazionale' where one can find a lot of stores to shop, cafes to eat, and gelaterias. Speaking about the hotel, this... More

There are some points what make this hotel stand out. Location is good. Metro Republic and Termini at walking distance. Plenty nice places to dine around, shops, opera. Reception staff speak English, french and sure other as well. We got a map from them with details how to get to roman attractions. We had a room on second floor. Nice... More

The location was great, close to 2 Metro stations and within walking distance (if you have the stamina) to most of the popular attractions. Lots of restaurants and very safe area. The only draw back is that the mattress sucked!

Good central location. Bedroom very outdated, but clean and comfortable. Brilliant shower!!!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental style but there was plenty to choose from. Really enjoyed the chocolate croissants. There are a good choice of pubs and restaurants in the vicinity.

Location to Termini station was fab...10 mins walk. Hotel was very clean with great sized bedroom. Bathroom was well presented and no complaints. Bar in hotel is small but plenty of cafes/restaurants /bars near by. We'd rather discover our surroundings than sit in the hotel! We found breakast to be fine - there are no fry's but scrambled eggs on... More

I have been 2 times in this hotel. The first time was 4 years ago.I was very impressed from the location of the hotel, the luxorious rooms and the stuff.but the previous year, when I visited it for the second time,I was very disappointed- the quality of the hotel has fallen, the stаff very unkind, the breakfast average and not very tasty, and very, very expensive the... Outstanding Hotel In An Outstanding City Location, Easy Reach Of Main Attractions Shops, Bars & Restaurant. Staff Highly Efficient & Customer Service is Great. Italian Building Beautiful & Well Decorated. Rooms Are Spotless & Very Well Maintained. I Would Recommend This Hotel As Your First Point Of Call For When In Rome One Word Bellissimo

After much research, my husband and I booked a stay at the Best Western Mondial for our recent trip to Rome, and we were glad we did. The hotel room was very clean and spacious, and the hotel staff was friendly enough. When we arrived to our room, we noticed it was a bit stuffy (this is in January, so... More

the hotel was just perfect .Ideal location , restaurants , bar & metro station are next door , Wifi works great, breakfast room was a bit small but overall good choices for breakfast and the waiters were very hardworking too. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
