We stayed here as part of a tour for a few nights at the end of July. The location was excellent. Just steps from the train station and street markets, and a short walk to The Basilica of st. Mary of the Angels and Martyrs (Michelangelo converted this into a church from a bath house...gorgeous). Also a 20-25 minute walk... More

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo during June this year. Having read reports on tripadvisor prior to booking we upgraded to a suite and were most pleased. A good sized bedroom with flat screen TV and electric shutters on the widow to shut out the hot sun and traffic noise. The lounge room was spacious... More

This establishment is greedy and not very nice at all A mistake was made with our dates when booking and when we tried to negotiate with the hotel, they were not interested .. Instead they charged us the full amount of the room and basically told us it was too bad .. Not exactly a pleasant first experience at all

In this hotel, they have nice rooms, beds, minibar that type of stuff. But of course the lasting memory is how they made you feel, and the front desk staff is far from the kind of person one would want to meet having first arrived in Italy. There was a French-sounding woman in the front who basically brushed us off... More

Positive aspects: 1) Very good location, near metro, bus and train station (although not suitable for a night walk around, as with every hotel near the central stations). 2) Spacius and clean rooms. 3) Satisfactory breakfast. Not big variety but high quality of foods. Negative aspects: The stuff in the reception was not exactly rude but certainly not friendly.

Stayed at Hotel Mediterraneo for 4 nights in August, with my teenage daughter, and we are both thrilled. I am usually a picky guest and change rooms if something bothers me. This, however, was far beyond my expectations. First of all, an e-mail by the hotel Manager, confirming again our reservation and wishing us a pleasant stay, a day before... More

We were a party of two adults and one child. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were all so helpful and friendly and could't do enough for us. We asked to change rooms as we were too close to the noisy lift (it bing bongs every time it reaches a floor) and were given a selection to... More

For a 4 stars hotel, this one has all the means to satisfy, most importantly it's 100 meters away from the Termini and even closer to the subway stairs and bus stations, and from there if you like to walk you can in 5 minutes be in via Nationale and about 15 min in via del Corso (main shopping streets... Stayed in Mediterraneo in Oct 2013 with a group of friends, we all had single rooms. The room I've had was not even close to the photos on the hotel's website. I would describe it as basic, and that's if I'm very generous. It would be ok for a 2-3star hotel, but not for a 4star. I could tolerate squeaky... More

Located literally seconds from Termini station, we were able to get around Rome very quickly. The metro being cheap and efficient it was perfect for us. I cant comment on the standard rooms because we had a suite, which was lovely. A nice balcony for the missus to smoke on and plenty of space to chill out and relax if... More
