Carlo greeted us warmly when we first arrived. He has helped us to book wonderful local restaurants, & to access reliable well-organised tours. He gives directions so well. He speaks English well, but is patient when I ask him how to say things in Italiano. Can't praise his customer service excellence highly enough!!!

Just returned from having 5 days in Rome and staying in the Hotel Giolli, we did read the reviews before leaving and saw the negative ones but decided to try it anyway. We are glad that we did, this is a 3 star hotel and very reasonably priced, the location is excellent and the staff couldn't have been more friendly.... More

Hotel Giolli is a nice lovely hotel located in a shopping district in a walking distant from the train station. The staff is very helpful especially Mrs. Francesca as she offered free upgrade for the celebration of my birthday. The room was big and the beds are comfy with a nice view of the opera building. The breakfast was a... More

This is a well located hotel, in the administrative part of Rome, close to many attractions to visit, in walking distance. Examples: the Pantheon, the Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. The best icecream restaurant of Rome is located in a street behind the hotel, where you can eat Champagne icecream, recommendable ! Also for shoppers, the main... More

Let's start with the pros: Breakfast was very good Location to the metro was good Hotel was very clean Staff was helpful Cons: The water on all three faucets in the room goes from piping hot to ice cold making showering unbearable. I saw many other guests complained of this too so it must be a plumbing issue. I honestly... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
