We stayed with a group of students here on two different occasions. The rooms were small but clean. The breakfast was very filling and they had a nice variety of foods. There lobby was filled with comfortable seating.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel with my girlfriend and another couple of friends. We really enjoyed the hotel and the staff was extremely helpful and polite. We were given directions to easily reach the city center (20 minutes with public transportation) and suggestions on where to go for food fun. The hotel is a nice 3 star one... More

I travel to Rome often for work. I always book my hotels through a local agency I trust and always try to stay as close as possible to the train station as I like to be able to be on the central subway line. This time the agency made a mistake and when I arrived in at the hotel late... More

Me and my family stayed at the Carlo Magno , the hotel is highly recommended . Rooms were very clean, the staff friendly helpful and well English spoken , and the position is well situated and within easy reach of all the top sites in Rome. We loved our stay and were quite sorry to leave . Excellent !!

Our group of 45 was booked at this property 12/31/13 for 3 nights.Rooms were dusty, smelly and remnants of past guests (papers. toothpicks!) were under beds and on desks. Multiple rooms found huge cockroaches all over the bathrooms. Windows were already open as hotel had tried to spray. When we complained the desk offered cans of roach spray. Other guests... More

First, the good- The breakfast was a typical continental spread... perfectly adequate. Even though it's chilly, the view from the rooftop terrace was lovely. The location is decent and easy to find. However. There are several things about this hotel that were annoying- the impossibly thin walls, the teeny tiny elevator for a hotel with 8 floors, the extremely unreliable... More
