We stayed two nights at Eliseo Hotel. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the Termini, 15 minutes from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The hotel itself has good Wifi, rooms were clean with all the facilities you'd expect. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection in a light and airy room. I was... More

Hotel is rather small and quiet in a beautiful area close to Spanish stairs. Very good breakfast with breathtaking view of Villa Borghese gardens. Nice cosy room, despite being second floor and near the elevator, not noisy at all as the street nearby is rather quiet. Good wifi. Carrefour market nearby. Nice people at the reception, even if you only... More

Stayed five nights in the hotel, which was clean and charming. It's in a good location, but not in a crowded part of the city. Transportation is available nearby. Yes, the view from the top floor is great and the breakfast was fine. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would come back if we are so lucky to... More

This hotel is 4* according to the brochures, it is clean and tidy and as previous reviewers comment the panoramic view of the city from the 6th floor breakfast room is stunning. BUT this is the only real view of the city and is only available at breakfast time, closed for the rest of the day and without a roof... More

This was our 4th visit to Rome in the past 8 years, we had always been on a tour and wanted to spend time in Rome on our own this time and take day trips with our Roman relatives. We chose The Hotel Eliseo as our home for the week. Our room was a triple, as our college aged son... More

We stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very quaint and Old World, which was exactly what we wanted. The view from our room was of the beautiful Borghese Gardens. The hotel is well situated- close to the Spanish Steps. We enjoyed walking in Rome and found the Eliseo not far from the metro... More

we stayed here for a short break in February. The hotel is located opposite the Villa Borgheise, just off the via Veneto. It is within easy walking distance (through the park if you like) to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (under repair) The Panthenon etc. The breakfast room has lovely views over the city and serves a good variety for... I have stayed in this Hotel many times over the past 15 years when I was working in Rome. After retiring over 5 years ago, my wife and I wanted to re-visit Rome for the last time. I booked the Eliseo on-line and got a very good price and an excellent room. We were surprised when we arrived as the... More

The hotel is brilliant. It is excellent value for money with a clean room and bathroom. We stayed in room 312 and it was very spacious and clean! The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Also, there is a safe which is always good to have! There is also free wifi, breakfast included and the ability to keep luggage... More

We spent 3 nights in this excelent hotel. We had a great huge room (505) with nice view to Porta Pinciana. The lobby is wonderful, the restaurant - on the top - offers an excelent food while you can admire Vatican and a nice geen area. But the greatest value are the people that works for you there, very kind... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
