After reading some of the reviews about the Grand Ritz, I was worried. We took a large group of people to Europe and this was one of our stops. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and appeared to have recently been remodeled. One of our group members had a very large room with a wrap around balcony where... More

The Lobby it's nice but the rooms are terrible, this is not what you expect from a 4 stars hotel! I was in a double room with a single occupancy and they separated the beds, my bed was very, very small and I'm not a giant. The heating control was broken, the lights decided to turn on twice during the... More

Avoid this flea pit at all costs. It's years since it was remodelled and is decorated in a hideous, dark, gloomy style. The bathrooms of all 3 rooms we stayed in stank of, well, effluent (the drains, clearly), the showers leaked (mine soaked the carpet of my room's entrance), mould was evident on the shower tiles, the beds were hard... This was a great hotel stay, in a very nice room (best in my Europe stay), with a courteous and helpful staff. Good value for my euro. Great complimentary breakfast. Super quick public train & bus into the city center. Fabulous little pasta and pizza place on the corner next door; best food I ate in Italy all week!! All... More

Like others I have just read reviews by, we were directed from the Ritz reception to another hotel along a hallway called the Regent. The room we were shown had two single beds instead of the double we booked as well a a burst fold away single bed in the corner in lieu of a chair. the second room was... More

We have just returned from Rome on a 5 day Pilgrimage and stayed at the Grand Ritz Regent Hotel, Plaza Ecluide. The Reception staff & Restaurant staff were very accomodating to all my 31 Pilgrims needs and very pleasant throughout our stay. Although we were a little out of the tourist area, it was not difficult to reach the Vatican... More

This hotel was made for Kings and Queens once upon a time. But now it is simply a beauty from the past. The hotel inside is very luxurious and looks like 5*. Before you reach to your room all corridors are super luxurious but seem old style (60s). Inside the room you see a very spacious ( like suite )... More

We entered the Grand Hotel Ritz lobby, were escorted through the lobby, and into yet another lobby of a connecting hotel called the Hotel Regent. We asked if we were checking into the right place based on our reservations - they said yes. We were escorted to our room by an unfriendly porter. The room was tiny, dark, run-down, ugly... More

Stayed at Grand Ritz for the last 2/4 nights during the Rome Film Festival season. The Hotel lived up to our expectations and to the pictures on the website / leaflet. The double room originally booked had a large separate bathroom but small room. We ask for a change to twin room and got a very beautiful room with Jacuzzi... More
