My husband and I were on our honeymoon and Rome was our last stop. We checked into Hotel Barocco, walked up to our room on the 4th floor because the elevator was broken. We barely got into the room and knew that we had to find another place to stay. The room stunk of smoke, there were two ashtrays in... more

Stayed at the Barocco Hotel nights of Sept. 17, 18, 19. Not much good to say about this hotel other than the staff - they are wonderful. But the rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. The carpets are old and mouldy, and the beds are very old - hard and uncomfortable. The rooms are very small, as well as... more

It was in a good location, walking to the spanish steps where all the great shops are and people are always hanging out. you can probably walk to most places from here except for the vatican. only complaint was that the room smelled, well, the air conditioning smelled. we would turn it off in the morning and air out the... more

I was impressed with this hotel from the moment we arrived. The staff were swift and efficient at sorting our rooms and transporting our bags to them. We stayed in the annex area, next to the main hotel and were impressed by the size of the rooms. The beds were firm, but certainly comfortable and all linens and towels were... more

I can't say enough good things about Hotel Barocco. It was all that it was advertised to be. I didn't think the room was small, as some reviews had said. We had a standard twin double, for two of us; it was very ample (the shower was the only thing that was small and it wasn't a problem). They keep... more

I was there last week with my husband. We picked the hotel base don the good reviews (rank) vs price. The location is good, and convenient because of the subway. However, you will walk a lot in Rome, so a closer hotel could be better. The bed (mattress) is one of the worst I have ever slept in. My carpet... more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for six nights. We appreciated the charming appearance of the hotel, the extremely clean facility, pleasant staff, the breakfast buffet, the quiet comfortable room, (larger than we had expected) and great location. It is right on Piazza Barberini, a few steps to Via Veneto, a Metro stop, gelaterias and restaurants. There's tabacchi,... more

My 15 year old grandson and I just returned from Rome and a terrific stay at the Hotel Barocco. The hotel was charming, fabulous location where we either walked or took buses and/or the metro all over Rome. The front desk staff was most helpful having a terrific knowledge of all the sights and which buses to take. The hotel... more

Location was very good, easy to walk, taxi or bus to most tourist sites. Rooms were VERY clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet was best we had while in Italy. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Would definitely stay again if ever in Rome. more

We stayed at Barocco Hotel from July 2 to July 10. The location is perfect. The taxi stand and metro are just across the street. The hotel is fantastic. The quality of service is outstanding. The hotel bar is the perfect spot to have a drink to start your evening. The breakfast buffet is 5 star quality that actually makes... more
