My husband and I visited this hotel for our honeymoon just before Christmas. When we arrived we discovered that we had been upgraded and their was a bottle of prose co waiting for us. The hotel is close to the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. As it was a beautiful weekend we chose to also walk to the colosseum and... More

We spent New Year's in Rome and stayed at this lovely Little Hotel in central Rome. Staff was exceptionally friendly and competent. They tried everything to make our stay a Special one. The Hotel is centrally located near Piazza Barberini which is in walking distance of a lot of major attractions. There is free WiFi and the breakfast is great.... More

We chose Hotel Barocco from Trip Advisor and it was great. The rooms were interesting, well appointed and have the little comforts that make it special - like flowers on the bed, good soap, quiet rooms, etc. The best was the service. The staff were all gracious and accommodating; helping with luggage storage prior to check in, getting tickets to... More

I was looking for a high class hotel in central Rome and book a stay at Hotel Barocco. And yes this is probably one of the best hotel in the city. Everything was perfect, room nice and clean, breakfast superb, staff extremely nice and helpful. /Anders

I revised this review due to the hotels response to my reviews which were not accurate. I understand a hotel may not like to see negative reviews but I am always accurate and honest because I also depend on Tripadvisor in my travels, Firstly this hotel is located in a great/touristy area. I had room 42 that looked out into... More

Dear Guest, This is the third review you write on our hotel in only 12 days and I think that at this point Tripadvisor should intervene to correct this situation which is now verging on the ridiculous. In order for readers to understand the situation, these are the three reviews you published: 31 December 2014 - Good Service does not... More

The Barocco Hotel could not be more central. It is listed as a 4 Star Hotel but really has the feel and service of a 5 Star Hotel [but with 4 star prices]. It may not have an enormous reception but the rooms are very well proportioned, as are the bathrooms. Furniture is a mix of modern and antique but... More

The tiny, unassuming lobby gives the wrong impression of this very lovely hotel, where great service and beautiful rooms combine with excellent location to make for a wonderful stay. My family of four stayed in two rooms around New Year's, and we found the location perfect: walking distance to the Borghese Gardens and Spanish Steps (for fireworks!) and to all... More

Hotel was lovely. Not very big but suited us down to the ground, Great loaction being close to most landmarks. Slight mishap when we arrived as we were booked into a twin room in error. However the Staff were very accommodating and upgraded us the following night to a suite. Breakfast had a good selection of food.

My husband and I stayed at the Barocco from 12/26 through 12/30/14, having found out about it through Trip Advisor. We were delighted to be upgraded upon arrival to a very nice room overlooking the Piazza Barberini with a nice balcony. The room (a junior suite, I believe) was lovely... king size bed, lots of space and large bathroom. While... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
