Booked last minute. The room was small, the tv had no English channels but not a problem as we spent most of our time out exploring. Great location, walking distance to termini which is a bonus. 5 min walking distance to the trevi fountain. The breakfast was continental self serve. Filled us up until lunch time. Great value for money.... More

This hotel is quite tiny, narrow staircase and ha the narrowest lift I have ever seen, but the room is not that small. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Small tv, but I guess you won't go to Rome to watch tv ;-) Breakfast is very limited but it's fresh and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. The internet connection can be... More

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Hotel Caprice. The staff were friendly and the morning buffet breakfast was wonderful. We loved the location of the hotel, it was walking distance from most places and also near the main train station. The Spanish Steps were about a 15 minute walk. The room itself was very compact, but this is... More

The hotel is perfectly located 5 minutes away from Plaza Barberini and metro station. Every now and then they offer discounts, so I spent 2 nights in central Rome for a very reasonable price. I had a very nice time with my wife.

So I stayed at the Hotel Caprice for 4 nights as of January 2nd. I was very nervous going to this hotel as I originally only planned to stay at a 4 star or better. As we all know, people on tripadvisor are usually very critical and point out mostly negatives. However, my experience at the hotel caprice was great!... More

We visited this hotel for the second time after 2 years. Rooms are clean and modern, it's just walking distance from the Spanish steps and the staff was very helpful once again. We were very satisfied with room 441. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future. Thumbs up! Highly recommended

Stay 2 nights, walking distance to main street (restaurants & shops), close to popular attraction spots. * Nearby popular attractions - Spanish steps (800m), Trevi fountain (1km), Pantheon (1.6km), Piazza Navona (1.8km) * Great value! - good location, modern decoration, close to popular attractions, affordable price, although small room (common in Rome) * Breakfast ok, simple but it's enough *... Stayed for one night while on business. Location is good, walk into Rome is 10-15 mins and facilities were adequate, room size was ok and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast a bit disappointing, lack of choice. Overall, ok but nothing outstanding.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
