Good hotel for the rate we got from hotwire. Rooms are very clean and small but all hotel rooms are small in europe. The location is a bit of a negative if you don't like long walks. Approximately 20 minutes away from Trevi. However, the hotel is literally next door to two very very highly rated pizzerias and la romana... More

Alexandro on reception and Salvatore on the roof top bar were excellent! We enjoyed our stay and were well looked after. Nice room, extremely clean. Small but what you expect for city locations. Breakfast basic but enough choice. We loved the roof top area and the weather was warm so had breakfast everyday outside. Watched the sunset each evening and... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Marcella Royal. Rooms are small and somewhat dated but we weren't in the room much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we were given recommendations for restaurants they would call ahead for us and when we showed up were greeting with Prosecco. Nice touch! The breakfast was good and the wifi worked... More

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are very welcoming, I arrived much earlier than the 2pm check in and was allowed to my room straight away. If you can read a map which I cant/can this hotel is within walking distance to most sights in your guide. Lucky I can/cant read a map because I found things in Rome that... More

My 12-year-old daughter and I stayed here for three nights. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean, a good breakfast is served on the lovely roof terrace, and the wifi works well. We were very comfortable here and feel this hotel offers an excellent value. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, though the decor is dated. This... More

Just back from 3 days in Rome where we stayed at the Marcella Royal Hotel. As generally stated in reviews of this hotel, the staff are wonderful, especially Alessandro at reception. Our first floor room was interesting...very clean, but small and oddly designed. The closet storage drawers could not be fully opened because they bumped into the closet doors which... More

Stayed here for three nights. The staff are lovely and its the location is good but a bit out of the centre. Breakfast is served on a lovely roof top garden but the breakfast itself is far from what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. The room was small but nicely decorated. I was there in march and... Had four night stay here recently with twin room and balcony on 5th Floor. Hotel is very good and reception staff always polite and very helpful. Breakfast OK, usual continental, no fresh fruit, but overall OK. Roof top terrace great, can imagine it is really good in warm weather (rained all the time we were there). Staff, especially Salvatore, so... More

Don't want to tell too many people about this hotel as it will always be booked up, however, we're just back from a 3 night stay and had to say how perfect this hotel is. We had a lovely refurbished room on the 6th floor, the staff are amazing and enjoyed the fabulous roof top seating area for breakfast and... More

We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. Clean rooms, and breakfast in the rooftop restaurant, with views across Rome to St Peter's and beyond. It's about 20 minutes walk from the usual tourist attractions, so this may not suit everybody, and the only other minor negative is a lack of tea-making facilities in the... More
