Lovely hotel. Location was great, lovely street with shops, cafes and restaurants, 5 minute walk to Spanish Steps and within walking distance to other sights and shopping area. Lovely staff, very friendly and breakfast was lovely, fresh pastries, cereals, fruit, fresh juices, tea and coffee. Single room, very clean, wifi worked perfect, bathroom was good size and very clean. I... More

This is a charming little hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. The location is ideal as most of the sights are within walking distance and the Metro station is just around the corner (Approx 20 mins from Vatican and 10 mins from Termini). The free map given on arrival was better than the ones in the... More

This is our 5th time in Rome and the best hotel location we have stayed in so far. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the room we were in was spacious for the 5 nights we stayed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful but the breakfast was awful so much so we didn't bother with it after... More

Definitely not 4*. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Breakfast very poor. Stayed for a week and 'fresh' fruit was not replenished or replaced once. Rolls, meat etc adequate but of poor quality. They are letting themselves down.

The Hotel Sistina offers locations and charm. Two factors that are hard to beat. It is near the Spanish steps and high end shopping, and walkable to all the major sites. It also is near thesubway and taxi stands at Babreini Square, with wonderful restaurants near by. It is not a luxury facility but warm and friendly, a hard combination... More

It's all about the location! A small hotel that is a little dated and tired but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and even though we had booked "room only" they made a point of telling us to help ourselves to breakfast at no extra charge - bonus!!! We had two rooms, one twin and one single. Both were... More

I had a fabulous room with tea/coffee making facilities. Comfy matress with extra pillows and blanckets. Safe easy to use. Large bathroom slightly doggy shower head. Very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. Location is great, easy reach of main shopping areas, Spanish steps. The road with the hotel on has variety of resturants all serving... I stayed at the Sistina for one night before checking in to my previously reserved hotel. The lobby is small and a little shabby. I was given a key and assigned a room, but on the way to the room, was switched by the hotel maid. I had a single room, the smallest I have ever experienced. It had a... More

Located just a couple blocks from the top of the Spanish Steps, you are in as good a location as is possible for sightseeing in Rome. Room was worn and needed a good over haul. Mattress had seen better days, and the air-conditioning labored to keep the room at 72F. Small elevator, and then several small stairs to get to... More

We were transferred here for one night as we had been double booked in our own hotel, through no fault of our own, although the guy checking us in acted as though we were a huge inconvenience to him, he took both our passports for photocopying, then handed us a key and gave me a questioning look when I asked... Dear L_MurphyKildare, thanks for you kind review, we are glad you liked our charm décor. We apologize that the initial problem with the receptionist may have influenced your stay in a negative way, photocopying passports is illegal, so he needed to register you in the system, and unfortunately it takes some time. Though from your description he looked rather rude... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
