The bed was rock hard. Most American hotels have hard beds but this was the hardest of any hotel I've stayed in so far. Might as well be sleeping on concrete. They do have wi-fi but our room on the 2nd floor had wi-fi reception only when were by our room door. When we moved to the bed, wi-fi dropped... More

We were booked at another hotel that turned out to be over booked so they asked us to move to this place and they would give us a nice room, so we agreed to move. That was a mistake. The location is very good for tourists as it's in walking distance to so many attractions and located in an active... More

Well situated hotel near to many sites and restaurants. Everything was good except the breakfast which was a bit basic...its not often I stop eating while hungry as I am simply bored of the food on offer. However, I still would recommend the hotel!

I've been to Sistina Hotel recently, during Easter time. The hotel was lovely, very Italian. The crew is the best part of it, for sure. My room was a single room, but the bathroom was amazing. It was very well cleansed everyday, and the towels and amenities were excellent. The room was a bit noisy but when it got late... More

Lovely hotel. Location was great, lovely street with shops, cafes and restaurants, 5 minute walk to Spanish Steps and within walking distance to other sights and shopping area. Lovely staff, very friendly and breakfast was lovely, fresh pastries, cereals, fruit, fresh juices, tea and coffee. This is a charming little hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. The location is ideal as most of the sights are within walking distance and the Metro station is just around the corner (Approx 20 mins from Vatican and 10 mins from Termini). The free map given on arrival was better than the ones in the... More

This is our 5th time in Rome and the best hotel location we have stayed in so far. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the room we were in was spacious for the 5 nights we stayed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful but the breakfast was awful so much so we didn't bother with it after... More

Definitely not 4*. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Breakfast very poor. Stayed for a week and 'fresh' fruit was not replenished or replaced once. Rolls, meat etc adequate but of poor quality. They are letting themselves down.

The Hotel Sistina offers locations and charm. Two factors that are hard to beat. It is near the Spanish steps and high end shopping, and walkable to all the major sites. It also is near thesubway and taxi stands at Babreini Square, with wonderful restaurants near by. It is not a luxury facility but warm and friendly, a hard combination... More

It's all about the location! A small hotel that is a little dated and tired but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and even though we had booked "room only" they made a point of telling us to help ourselves to breakfast at no extra charge - bonus!!! We had two rooms, one twin and one single. Both were... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
