We came here in November. The receptionist was very pleasant. The hotel is in a very very good location and designed in a very italian roman style. Close to the Metro and a lot of attractions like fontain de travi, Pantheon and Fountain of four rivers and the Spanish Steps (walking distance 5-20 minutes). The hotel is surrounded by a... More

As is the rule in Rome the room/bathroom were very quaint especially if you are on the bigger size. The hotel location is very good & several of the sights were within walking distance, quite close to the Trevi Fountain but it was being renovated when we were there. The breakfast area is small but OK & the food is... More

Convenient location since it`s in walking distance of most of the mayor landmarks The room was compact, but very nice & always clean. Concierge staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to help you. I`m looking forward to going back. (Snooty sends her thanks to amelia)

We loved this place. Great location. Small rooms, but very nice and perfectly adequate. Nice bathroom. Air conditioning. Wonderful restaurant next door. Lovely roof-top patio. Great morning buffet, open until ten a.m. In walking distance of Spanish Steps and other major attractions. Computer in lounge - 5 Euros for 3 hours.

We stayed at the Sistina this week, and had a very enjoyable stay. This hotel embodies everything you would expect to find in a grand hotel of the 1920/30s. Unfortunately now in the 21st Century it is looking a bit out of place, it appeals to people of an antique persuasion, someone looking for yesterday in a today world. As... More

The furniture was dirty and in a bad condition. The floor was dirty and broken. For breakfast you could not make toasts. The sheets of the bed had an spot and they did not change or clean it. However, the the hotel is about 10 minutes walking of the historical center of Rome.

A quick spiritual visit after putting my mum to rest and re uniting her with her parents in Cheshire. The hotel was all I hoped it would be, giving me the privacy I sort whilst providing an excellent level of service without being intrusive. I came away a little more at peace than when I arrived. It's amazing what a... More

The hotel is lovely, small, nicely decorated. Its location: excellent! I have to say I did not spend 1 euro on local transportation since the hotel is within max 20 minutes from majority of the tourist objective. Only the Vatican is a little bit further, maybe 35 minutes. It has a nice little terrace on top, I mainly used it... More

The bed was rock hard. Most American hotels have hard beds but this was the hardest of any hotel I've stayed in so far. Might as well be sleeping on concrete. They do have wi-fi but our room on the 2nd floor had wi-fi reception only when were by our room door. When we moved to the bed, wi-fi dropped... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
