I chose to stay in Rome for 7 nights.. big mistake on my part as I only needed 5. But since I had reserved the room for 7 I had to stay. The hotel was a dream. the best part was that my favorite American Restaurant was right next door... The Hard Rock. So since I was a little tired... More

We loved this hotel. We traveled with a large group (16 including a 2 year old and a 7 year old). All the rooms were lovely including two that held the king size bed and a twin. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, helping us with sightseeing and gelati suggestions. The concierge did not steer us wrong when it... More

We stayed at the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel prior to a Windstar cruise of the Italian/French Riviera. The location of the hotel is near the Trevi Fountain and not far from other cultural landmarks in Rome which was nice. The facility seems to be in the process of a facelift. The public spaces and the hotel facade appear to have been... More

I believe that this and the other hotels on Via Veneto used to be the glamour and pride of Rome in terms of hotels and although this place has been maintained very well, it did feel a bit dated and could use some refurbishment. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay here and had some comfortable nights. Staff was very accommodating and... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Gate 1 Travel package. Typical European Hotel. Continental Breakfast, small clean and comfortable room. Spa tub in the bathroom. I wish it were closer to the sights and shopping.

Our room was lovely and immaculate. The towels and bedding were incredible, and the location was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. They also had a very nice breakfast room with an attractive and tasty selection of breakfast foods. We loved it, and I would like to read more about its history.

We stayed 3 nights at the Ambasciatori Palace, two of which were included in a Windstar cruise package. To be honest, I wasn't excited about the place after reading the reviews but didn't want to pay for the 2 nights somewhere else. I was really pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, the common rooms were beautiful, and the room was... More

We checked in here as part of a windstar end of cruise. It was a bit of a come down from the Venice St Regis, however I will say they handled a large check in crowd, including a mix up in our reservations professionally. The bar is very cozy, makes great pastries and coffee. The rooms are austere, clean and... More

After an exciting ride through the bustling streets of Rome our taxi turned on Via Vittorio Veneto and we were struck by the neighborhood feel with tree lined streets, wide sidewalks, and outdoor cafes. The Ambasciatori Palace was the perfect location for us to walk to the Trevi Fountain, the President's Palace and great shopping. It was a quick taxi... More

Other hotel were fully booked so I found myself in this old yet respected establishment ( so I thought) just outside of the old city. The entrance seems promising, classic European style, however once my room door was opened I felt disappointment - yes, it was huge and yes it had everything you need in a hotel and yes, the... Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
