It does need renovation even though some times you think you spent some days in a well preserved museum like hotel room and it is romantic when you have it's nice view in Via Vittorio Veneto The service was good and polite, they brekfast was good but it could be better. Thee best was the location, perfect for exploring Rome... More

Spent four nights at this hotel last weekend. I have to admit that I was rather disappointed. The lobby is old but beautiful and the service at the lobby was fine. I got room 301 and what a disappointment. The size of the room was good compared to Europe. The bathroom was very spacious with a tub. The room was... More

Dear Travist3, Thank you for your positive feedback about the location, our service, breakfast and bed. I’ll pass on your compliments to the bartender; we are so proud of the bar staff, they are a true asset for our hotel.  About the room you described is not characteristic of the level of service we provide and we apologize was unsatisfactory... The Ambasciatori was part of our Windstar post cruise package. Our experience here, from the get go, was unimpressive. Check in was unorganized and confusing with one Windstar group coming and one leaving. The hotel has a fairly good location, but is old and in need of a refreshment and facelift. Our hotel experience is quite extensive and we have... More

stayed in hotel for 3 nights, checkin was fine and fast, room was ready even though we were early, room was dark, big drapes that didn't let any light in. Bathroom looked nice but hairdryer was poor & we couldn't get the spa bath to work. No tea or coffee making facilities, maybe not the Italian thing. Breakfast was good,... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel after a cruise. The room was decorated in a charming, antique style. It was conveniently located on the Via Veneto. Hotel staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. Breakfast and free WiFi were included. We had one of the three rooms on the fourth floor with a balcony. It would have been great for... More

Great place for service. Front desk was phenomenal. Our first leg of our journey began there and ended there. Our first room was large, quiet, and quiet comfortable. We had a jr.suite. The last night of our trip we came back but this time had a superior deluxe and it was small and noisy. Would recommend. But upgrade y To a jr... More

We stated at Ambasciatori Palace Hotel on October 6th and 7th, 2014. It is a very stately hotel near the American Embassy on the Via Veneto. It is clean, and a busy hub for airline crews. The room was large, but needs an updating. Breakfast was very good. In all, we liked this hotel a lot.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ambasciatori Palace. Although the decor is slightly dated and the hotel is not quite 5*, we got a good deal and were more than happy with our stay here. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful - what more could you ask for? The main lure of this hotel is... More

Right near the American Embassy and less than 10 min to the Spanish Steps and other attractions, this hotel was very conveniently located. And if you miss the States you're right next door to the Hard Rock Cafe. Our room was exceedingly roomy & the bathroom was sumptuous. There's a small bar in the lobby, a small frig in your... More

When we entered the hotel to check in, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The problem was that the room was not ready since we checked 15 minutes before 2pm. We waited in the lobby for more than 45 minutes for our room to be ready. The first room we were taken to was supposed to be our room,... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
