Second time there, first was 6-7 years ago, the hotel is in a terrible state. Room furniture is very old and worn out, bed matress too hard, bathrooms in a poor codition, water in the shower barely dripping, impossible to have a proper shower with this water pressure, closets smelly and crummy without hangers. Personnel fairly aged but polite, service... More

My wife and I stayed here in a superior room. Our room was 222 a large room, large bathroom and a small balcony. Electric shutters for a large window and balcony. Bed very comfortable and luxurious pillows , a well stocked mini fridge (expensive).32" TV only 3 English news channels. Only negative was the road traffic noise. Our trip was... More

This was my first stay in Rome and I couldn't have asked for more... This hotel was booked without knowing much about its surroundings and what a treat. Quiet area of Rome and I suppose one of the fanciest neighborhoods I had been while there. Best service I have ever experienced in Italy. Room was spacious with walk-in closet and... More

This is a beautiful hotel, but there are others that are also beatifull. The location of the hotel is splendid. Some other hotels have also a splendid location. So, what makes the difference? The people. That very important and connecting element is excellent in this hotel. They go the extra mile for their guests. You try it and you will... More

The hotel could not be better located just 3 walking minutes to Piazza Barberini with Metro station, 10 minutes to Piazza Spagna and to Fontana di Trevi. The hotel itself has a nice lobby and facilities. In the 2 connecting rooms we got, the bathrooms were recently renovated and very nice. The rooms are huge even for american standards. The... More

Charming old hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel has great character and is located very well but it could really do with an upgrade to bring it in to the 21st century. Scott

Located on Vitorio Veneto Via ( one of the most famous streets of Rome ) the Ambasciatori Hotel is one of the 5 star hotel of Rome with the lower rate. Na old building but very well conserved. It is a good option .

I always loved the Via Veneto even though it's not Dolce Vita anymore, this hotel for me was in a perfect location. The room was big with a nice view, great shower and amenities, great breakfast everyday, when I go back to Rome I would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
