We, my husband our 14 years old daughter and I stayed from 8-11 April for a short visit in Rome. The hotel is in a very good location, minutes walk to Barberini - Metro station, minutes walk to Trevi fountaine and Spanish Steps. Our room was for 3 - big room in the back without any view but it was... More

Stayed here for three nights as part of a short break in Rome. Although I didn't personally choose this hotel to stay in, its location would be the over-riding reason for choosing it. It is in a good part of the city (right across the road from the American Embassy) and a short ten minute walk from the main Rome... More

I was in Rome in the second week of march and had the chance to be in two different hotels. In Ambasciatori I was feeling as I was an ordinary guest (of course I am not a celebrity but you know when you receive a customized service that makes you feel quite unique), until they surprise me and my wife... I stayed at the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel for a night because the Savoy had a problem with my room. They claimed water, but I suspect double booking. The first thing that impressed me was the warm and friendly welcome. The reception and it's staff are a pretty impressive combination. I was shuttled to my room, on the first floor in... More

I was expecting more from a 5 star hotel in Via Veneto one of the most luxurious streets in Rome. Breakfast is disgusting which didn't have enough choices and of course you deserve to eat much better when a hotel carries a 5star Luxury name. Wi-Fi, don’t even mention it. It was the slowest and most stupid internet connection I... More

Since the moment we arrived we immediately noticed the high quality of this beautiful hotel. Right away, it showcased the professionalism and courtesy of the personnel. Signore Marco told us that even though we were early for our check-in they would take care of our luggage and right away set us up with a hotel safe for safekeeping of our... More

Nice hotel next door to the hard rock. Friendly staff, small bar but nice. I would recommend this place to a friend. Harry's Bar is within walking distance. Sinatra used to stop in and sing. Classy, old school place to go.

The hotel had a nice welcome and gave us a free upgrade to suite, as a newly weds gift, which is a nice touch from the hotel. The suite was big, with a nice classic furniture. The breakfast was nice, a good selection of food, but it could be better. Nothing bad about the hotel really; Good location, staff and... More

We paid top rate for 5 nights for the New Year but very disappointed. The hotel is not a 5 star at all. Nothing can be recommended except the location. All facilities are very old. Bed, curtians, furnitures in the room are so old and in poor condition. The door could never been locked properly inside unless we gave a... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
