it is not 5 star hotel -deffenatly. we got our room after 2 hours waiting, we booked junior suite with terrace with rome view, but we got junior suite with court yard view.(you see windows of other rooms and a restoraunt ). the size of junior suite is like regular small double room in other hotels-very small. in our mini... We booked 3 rooms here here from Sept 24-27. We were able to get the rooms on the same floor and within a few rooms of each other which was nice. We booked the hotel based primarily on location and reputation and were very pleased with our choice. The rooms were smaller than we are used to in the United... More

Upon our arrival we had the pleasent surprise of a free upgrade from a double room to a suite. The room was impeccably clean and roomy with 2 queen beds and had the best bath/shower of the trip. Our street side room was quiet even on the busy street that led us quickly to the Spanish Steps. It was a... More

My husband and I spent a month in Italy and out of 8 hotels, ranging in "stars"; 3,4, and this one 5, the InterContinental was a huge disappointment and a sorry way to end our trip. Had we not prepaid for our room through our travel agent we would have left for another hotel. Intead of being placed in a... More

This hotel is in a great location + is really nice to look at but from a service point of view was terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there. They more or less told us we where wrong when we complained about our clothes being thrown in the bidet during room service - even though we had a photo to... More

On top the Spanish Stairs, the Continental de Ville, was a great find. Management at all levels, including the General Manager were helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my wife and myself. Resturants, transportation, specialty needs, anything; They had the right recommendations. Their experience and knowledge added much to our Rome visit. The hotel reminded us of... More

We have stayed at this hotel time and time again because it never disappoints. It is a fabulous property, each room is different and calls for attention to detail. We have had terrific (and roomy) inside rooms that overlook the courtyard. More recently, we had an outside room that was good as well. The decor is impressive. The staff are... More

We stayed here free thanks to a Holiday Inn "stay two nights anywhere, get a free room anywhere" promotion ... Not too bad of a deal trading two nights at a Hotel Indigo in Atlanta for a free night in Rome ... We were staying at mid-range hotels on the rest of our trip through Europe and so were not... More

We arrived early and no room was available-we had booked an advance-rate executive single bedded (king) room so we dropped our luggage and returned a few hours later. Our room was ready but when we walked in there were two beds pushed together and made up separately. We placed a call and within 5 minutes a maid was sent up... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
