Be in the middle of everywhere! Good property with slow service, but "excellent" history. Too small rooms, too expensive, too nice, too cold in the bathroom (freeze wind from the street).. So! But, so strange, it is really good! More

We spend a week at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. All employees are extremely polite and hepful, excellent bar and good buffet breakfast. Next door to Spagna metro station and several bus stops.Situated at the center of the shopping area of Rome, with all the most prestigious shops within five minutes walk. I only had a problem with... In the historic heart of a very ancient city in very ancient buildings with very ancient narrow streets, the hotel rooms are small, the elevator is tiny, and the common areas for lobby and food service are also very small. Of course such an ancient historic location in a world-class city is also pricey. BUT, the atmosphere is romantically and... More

I have stayed at the De La VIlle 5 times, and this New Years Eve was even more incredible than the other 4 times! The lovely rooftop bar , The Emperors Terrace, was turned into a New Years Eve Party place...small and intimate, open to the sky, fire pots burning, lovely tables set with fresh oranges and panetone and our own... My daugther and I just came back from a five night stay at the Hotel de la Ville. We had a great time. The hotel is centrally located and is a short walk to the main shopping area and lots of great restaurants. The staff was very helpful. Our room was small and had no view but we were rarely... More

Small, cramped overpriced rooms. In a single room, you get enough room to either put your suitcase on the table or on the bed. If you put the suitcase on the floor (there being no such luxury as a stand for the suitcase) you don't have adequate space to walk to the door... Pathetic service. The "included" breakfast was a... purchased as a top secret hotel from lastminute.com, this turn out to be a great but.. set a the top of the Spanish steps in the middle of Rome. Great for food, shopping and the sights. Double room was well equipped, spacious and in excellent condition. View out over the internal courtyard (great place for night cap). Can;t speak highly... More

FIrst off, remember this hotel is ANCIENT, and the rooms are indeed small, some truly tiny. If you are staying with a cruise line, try to ask for a complimentary room upgrade on check in -- blame it on having too much luggage, or spouse or whatever. They do try to help when they can, the staff is terrific. Rooms... More

Room was smaller than our cabin on the cruise ship. We had requested 2 beds-only got one. No view. Breakfast was not ready when we went down 1/2 hour after it was suppose to have started. Concierge and bell hops were not helpful or friendly. We were charged nearly $1200 for this room. I have stayed in Choice hotels in... More

My wife and I spent 5 days here during October. The location is fantastic, top of the Spanish steps and yet without the crowds and noise. The concierges were extremely helpful and even though they were quite busy they were patient and helpful with each guest. We had a deluxe room and although on the street, the double pane windows...
