The Intercontinental de la ville doesn't live up to it's pictures, so try your best not to pay too much attention. There is however more for sale. The hotel has a great location - literally 50 paces to the Spanish Steps. You can roam (forgive the pun) the streets and find plenty to eat and shop being right there. The... More

Stayed in April for a romantic weekend, got a deal from a site at £200 a night (which was heavily discounted) without breakfast and was put in a room above the entrance. The shower head mount was broken, so showering was a problem. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast is €35 each. Room just fitted the super kingsize (2... More

Stayed in the Presidential Suite which was gorgoeus and boasted one king bedroom with luxurious marble bath and separate shower, two sinks and private balcony off bathroom. Bedroom also had private balcony and adjacent living room features grand piano and fireplace. The best treat was an approximately 1000 square foot terrace with gorgeous panoramic views overlooking Rome. Great place for... More

When you arrive you are greeted as if you are family. The reception and concierge will do everything possible to make your stay an unforgettable experience. The staff is always warm and inviting. The location is the best, at the top of the Spanish Steps. The buffet breakfast is a great way to start your day. The services, such as... More

Stayed at the Inter Continental de la Ville in Rome for 3 nights (late April 2012.) I very much enjoyed my stay and will stay there again. - Great central location by the Spanish Steps - I found the staf to be very friendly and helpful - Great buffet breakfast (it was included in the rate, but I would not... First impressions are pomp and ceremony, and that is where it ends. Besides the rip off on items in the bar fridge, you pay for items picked up for a few seconds, unless disputed. Very impersonal, bordering on rude, except the chamber maids. Breakfast good, beds comfortable, but nowhere to place your toiletry items. Bathrooms cramped and minimal movement space... More

Positives: * Great location * Efficient Service * Clean * Room (deluxe) was exactly as per the hotel photo Negatives: * Everything is 'extra' (1l of water - €7.50, wifi - €12 / hour, coffee and pastry €18, fruit salad €12) * Service is really impersonal (although efficient) * Pay TV (not just movies, almost EVERYTHING is pay TV) *... This was an exquisite hotel situated right at the top of the famed Spanish Steps in the middle of Rome. We booked purely by chance and at the last minute , but we have never been more surprised at what this unassuming building had to offer. The rooms were a good size and had all the usual amenities that one... More

The primary reason to stay at this hotel is the location. Located a few feet from the Spanish Steps, you're central to all the sights. The breakfast buffet is good and the hotel is quietly elegant. We had drinks at the bar after dinner on 2-nights of our stay and the bar staff were great. Our room was OK --... More

We had 2 nights in the penthouse here. The room looked great. However, the hotel is old and creaky. We heard the elevators moving constantly. The 360 degree view of Rome more than made up for it. The staff was nice, but didn't really go out of their way to make us feel welcome. It's a great value atop the... More
