Yes, it was crowded when I checked in, but I have never stayed in a room (1st floor) like this: closet-sized, bed board removed so bare mounts were on the wall. No air circulation--not broken, they just did not have it--pseudo heat at best. Breakfast? Would have done better stealing day-old pastries from a Newark, NJ deli. Staff was nice... More

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious As far as European hotels go, staff was attentive and courteous and the complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day. Would definitely recommend.

This beautiful property accommodated our pre-Mediterranean cruise group of 24 for 2 nights. The rooms were comfortable and our's offered a spectacular view of the eternal city. Location could not be better as you are only steps away from the Spanish Steps. Highlight for my wife and I was a late dinner at the hotel's rooftop Terrazza Roma restaurant. Food,... More

When I booked the hotel I thought it's similar to other Intercontenantal hotels around the world. It's not Intercontenantal brand at all. From the front desk until the breakfast service, room quality building structure, floor and corridor to the rooms. The only thing I can recommend is the ideal location which few meters to Spanish steps and very famous shopping... More

The hotel lives up to its star rating in all aspects particularly customer service! The room we had was ideal for our stay and the daily maid service was excellent. The staff at the intercontinental Rome made our visit one that we will never forget. Anna, the receptionist and Simone, concierge were some of the nicest people I've ever had help me. I proposed to my boyfriend Thomas that same weekend and the hotel staff were genuinely so very happy for us. We even received a bottle of Prosecco to... More

We enjoyed a 4 night bed and breakfast break at this hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the room ( classic) was small, but perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and the complimentary toiletries smelled gorgeous! Breakfast choices were superb, although the dining area was too small to cater for the number of hotel guests when we... More

The only disappointment in the hotel was the bedrooms. The first one we were allocated had one tiny wardrobe with no shelves and only two tiny bedside drawers, so we asked for another room. This was no problem to the staff and we were shown to another room with adequate storage. This room was very dark, as it overlooked the... More

Dear finchy04, Thank you for your comment. We are deeply sorry that your room was not completely suitable to your needs. Furthermore, we are pleased to learn that our staff was... More

The best location. At the top of the Spanish Steps. Could not be better. Close to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful view. Excellent service at front desk and concierge. Great suggestions for meals and getting around. Rooms are "old" but clean and comfortable. The location is what makes this an excellent choice for all travelers

This is an easy review to write, as almost everything about the InterContinental de la Ville was wonderful. The building was the perfect blend of charm, history and convenience, all with a very gently lived-in sense that made us feel we were visiting a generous (and wealthy) friend who happened to live in the perfect location in Rome. If you... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
