The rooftop bar and restaurant of the Intercontinental De La Ville in Rome is an oasis from the maddening crowd and noise of the beloved Spanish steps. The waiters are courteous and very hospitable. The whole ambience on the rooftop is incredibly calming and soothing for the soul after a big day of ninja shopping and sightseeing. The set menus... More

Standing at the top of Spanish Steps this hotel is in a great central location to see Rome. The staff are friendly and approachable. The rooms are pleasant and the 'aircon' can be fierce if you require it. The rooms to lack coffee/tea making facilities which are a draw back at 2am. We eat at the roof top restaurant the... More

Everything could be better, but we have had a good time the staff was friendly and professional, i guess you have to smile to not expecting that everybody else is smiling. We have received a good service, and the refurbishment of the Hotel should be on the agenda.

In the center of busy Rome, this hotel in an ideal location atop the Spanish Steps, is elegant, quiet, inviting, and the staff makes you feel like the most special part of their day. Each time we have stayed there, they welcome us back like family, and staff throughout the hotel always remembers your name. Rooms are beautiful - though... More

The Via Sistina may be busy with visitors making their way to and from Rome's famous Spanish Steps, but there's a calm and peaceful atmosphere as soon as you enter the lobby of this traditional city centre hotel, where high standards are maintained. We really enjoyed our 3-night stay, and we particularly appreciated the professionalism and skill of all of... More

We just returned from Rome and had an amazing experience at the InterContinenal de la Ville. For this particular stay it was all about the staff experience and Jana at the Reception performed magic for working out the perfect room on the eighth floor. During the excellent and most professional check-in process she recognized and explained all my Royal Ambassador... More

Absolutely exquisite hotel with attentive staff. Nothing was too much to ask of the staff, they were polite, accommodating and kind. My husband and teen daughter stayed for a week in July. Perfect location in the heart of Rome. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was divine. Anything you could want, from savory sausages, Italian meats, cereals,... More

Overcharged, poor service, miserable wait staff. Paid 80€ for "upgrade" room which probably would have sat empty that night anyway. Thought breakfast would be included and was charged 75€ for breakfast. Ordering coffees at breakfast was a difficult experience with unfriendly and uninterested wait staff. Pigeons continuously flying onto the diner's tables. What a mess. All of Italy is "in... More

We had an executive suite with terrace and he view was spectacular. The staff where very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The hotel (building) is very old, but like the rest of Rome, it just adds to it's charm. Try to get a room with a view if the city, it will be worth it... More
