If you are in Rome, you cannot find a better location with a perfect service when choosing a hotel. InterContinental de la Ville, Rome should be the first choice of all travellers. Just few steps from the famous Spanish Stairs you have a superb hotel where all personnel is looking after you. Especially the Concierge goes out of their ways... More

Well trained staffs, kind and warm. The traditional old fashioned storied building located at via Sistina. I've stayed at the room with a balcony having a view of city. Fantastic sunset of the city. The Piazza Spain is a few steps out of the front door, you will love everything in the hotel if you are a tradition-lover.

I'll get the negative out of the way first. The check in staff was outrageous there was 4 of them talking to each other and they could see I was stood there waiting. It took a gentleman to come out from the back to spot me and then help me! Not a brilliant experience to say im a gold ambassador.... More

I really liked this hotel. Perfectly placed for all the sights and all the staff are helpful and welcoming. The room was large for Rome with a great bathroom. On the downside, we found that eating and drinking within the hotel was prohibitively expensive so we ate out (not a problem in that area). In particular, breakfast was way overpriced... More

I had an absolutely out of this world experience at the Intercontinental de la Ville. Despite booking my stay with points, I was upgraded as an Ambassador to a humongous, ornate suite, complete with complementary wine, water, and fruit. The room was one of the best and biggest I've ever stayed in. Further, the location at the top of the... More

My husband and my family went to Rome over Christmas and loved staying at the InterContinental (and highly recommend it, especially for stays over Christmas, when public transit doesn't run on regular schedules). It was always easy to get a taxi from the hotel -and almost everything (including the Coliseum) was no more than a beautiful, piazzo-filled walk from the... More

La ville is perfectly situated in Rome - 100 meter to the top of the Spanish stairs. All points/monuments of interest both historical and top level shops within walking distance. The borghese park just near by. Was a little concerned on the size off the rooms due to more trip advisor comments on this issue. But room 231 was nice... More

so many excellent reviews hard to add anything new. BUT, Almost at the top of the Spanish Steps. Much closer to the Metro and the bottom of the Steps than at first glance. Turn left out of hotel walk past the steps and there is an M sign - take the lift down and there you are. Rome is a... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
