A beautiful little hotel centrally located, with a few quirks, and great staff. The doorman counseled us on crooked taxi drivers, the concierge staff was pleasant and helpful, and we never even noticed the housekeeping staff, which is exactly what you want. The hotel had a nice restaurant with pleasant outdoor seating. The one rather strange thing I noticed was... More

We received a really great welcome and the staff seemed really proud of the hotel when they showed us round. Great location in the city - everything was within walking distance. Lovely and quiet and cosy receptions rooms on the ground floor to have afternoon tea after a day of shopping and sightseeing. Disappointed with the restaurant and only ate... More

This could be such a lovely hotel. It's well located and the service at the door and front desk is exceptional. The ground floor reception rooms are small, cosy and almost jewel-like. The limousine service we used was terrific. A concierge showed us proudly to our room (no.434), announcing that it had been modernised. On the surface it was very... More

We stayed three times in this hotel because the location is perfect and it is quiet. For two times we passed over the rooms in need of renovation but the last time, on top of that, the house keeper has been so unpleasant that we decided there are other hotels in Rome...In this hotel staff behaviour is really an issue... We stayed for 3 nights from 2nd December, we arrived and were greeted by doormen and our host Massimo Mazzola. Nothing was too much trouble he was outstanding and made our stay extra special organising our trips. Beautiful location and hotel was very comfortable, we always stay in 5* hotels around the world. The character of the hotel and friendly... More

I and my family stayed at this hotel from the 28th November to the 2nd of December 2014. On November 30, we all went out of town and returned on 1st December. When my daughter was looking for her goods lost and small jewelry of my wife in hand baggage is also missing. After I reported to the front desk,... More

Ideally located around the corner from the Spanish Steps and in walking distance to the Trevi Fountain. Cosy hotel with good service. Rooms though comfortable, small and in need of refurbishment . Same goes for bathroom which was also not at all clean. Breakfast Buffet is small but everything there, Even glutenfree bread. Lovely small salons with tasteful Color schemes.... More

We stayed three nights at this hotel as part of a tour package, and it was a big disappointment. The location is very good, in a pedestrian area and very near the Spanish Steps. The hotel is in an excellent location as it is in the heart of Rome and you can easily reach any major location on foot. However the hotel itself was not worth its price. Hotel d'Inghilterra contributed to a fantastic overall experience of Rome. The staff helped with organizing tickets to ballet and opera. The restaurant is charming and the library is a perfect hideaway spot. Would recommend it to everyone. I had my 9 year old daughter with me, and she felt at home. Great place.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
