This remarkable gem of a small hotel offers most anything one could want in a place to stay - good food ( breakfast included), quiet location and excellent service. Not one thing was amiss during a 9 day stay. This is a marvelous place to come back to and relax after enjoying the beauties of Rome. more

Everything from the greeting to the Front desk people, the Bell Captain and the Consierge, made this one of my most enjoyable hotel stays at a Hotel that I will always remember. The hotel (or a home away from Home) is a small boutique hotel that has great photos, artwork andfurnishings, and excellently equipped rooms. The owner Amedeo is immaculate... more

We spent 4 nights at the Lord Byron in late Sept 2009. One of the nicest hotels we have ever encountered. Off the beaten path in Rome, but a beautiful walk across the park to all the sites, the hotel is a perfect oasis from all the tourists and rate race of Rome. From the marvelous staff to the nice... more

We stayed at the Lord Byron for three days after returning from our cruise. The service, room, food an amenities were great. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and provided us a wealth of information about where to go, how to get there and where to eat. The only small issue is that the hotel is not near the... more

This hotel has for decades been my preferred in Rome but it is slipping: for example, bathrooms are tired with chipped enamel and - because it is getting a bit run down and probably into a different market niche - it is not as clean as it used to be. There is a very good barman but the pianist was... more

The Lord Byron is situated just above Villa Borghese - a walk away form the City Centre. It is a fantastic Hotel - beautifully furnished, large bedrooms, great service, and the staff without exception are warm friendly, and extremely helpful. I had some shirts laundered - and they came back looking like I had just bought them. We had a... more

I returned from a 3 night stay at the Lord Byron and wanted to make a few notes on this hotel. First, the hotel is located about a 20-25 minute walk from the famous sites and restaurants in Rome. This is nice because its away from the noise and commotion of a large city. However, you will spend money on... more

We stayed a night here on the first and last night of our trip to Italy. It is on the other side of the Borghese Gardens from most of the city sites. On average we paid 6-12 Eur in cab fare depending on where we were going, time of day, and whether or not the cab driver knew the best... more

Yes, the hotel is entirely Art Deco. 5 stars doesn't even come close to describing this hotel. The hotel is situated in North Rome in a very residential area. It was exactly what we were looking for. We like to walk and this allowed us to really see the city. What a beautiful hotel. The room was amazing. The breakfast... more

Rome is a noisy city but at the Lord Byron, guests can actually sleep with open windows without being bothered. The location was almost a bit too quiet for me, with very little to see or do in the immediate surroundings. The area is very upscale and residential and lacks cafes, shops, pharmacies etc. It is about a 15-20 min... more
