For a 5 Star Luxury Hotel, it didn't seem above average at all. My husband and I finished our honeymoon in Rome. After coming from another 5 Star luxury hotel in a different city, Hotel Regina Baglioni was a sad comparison. First, the room we got was pretty small with no real perks. The hotel staff, though friendly, was not... More

We have just returned from our Honeymoon staying at the Regina Baglioni. The hotel is beautiful, marble stairway, stylish velvet and paintings galore. All staff were prestine, curtious and willingly attended to our requests. We were fortunate to receive a room up-grade (which had been re-decorated within the year), wine and fruit for our Honeymoon. Our room was at the... More

At £350 per night we were hoping for a real treat hotel and room. However, room was small, a picture on the wall covered bare wires. Nothing so much as a vase of flowers or bottle of wine in the room. We were asked to give our credit card incase we incurred further costs (!!) like an item from the... More

Overall stay was decent. Location is great. Breakfast very plentiful and good choices Beware of concierge services. They did not make dinner reservations that were requested and did steer us to overpriced tourist traps for meals. They also tried to overcharge us for transportation to the airport. On the drive to the airport they tried to charge us 20 euro... More

We got a room at this hotel through a friend for a "steal" $245 a night instead of $500. I was really excited as this was a special treat for our 20th anniversary. I'll break it down for you."Do not disturb signs" are like guide lines, staff always came in the room at least twice a day regardless if the... More

I loved this hotel. I was in Rome for four nights for work and stayed at the Hotel Regina Baglioni because that's where my client's meetings were. I'm glad they were. It is an exquisite property, made even more so by the incredibly gracious and intuitive staff. There's an old-world elegance to this property as well the service, but it... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel week from 4/1-4/3 2011. The staff was very nice, except that the concierge insisted on sending us to tourist traps but we knew better and just found our way to other places that were off the beaten path. The room's decor was out dated and needs changing, but that is about the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Regina Baglioni for three nights in September 2010, and we absolutely loved it - wished we could have stayed longer. We are both in our early thirties and very well-traveled, and neither of us have ever seen a 5-star hotel with as much charm as this one. The rates are also more reasonable... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
