My husband just adores the Flora. He travels on business a lot and stays at Marriotts worldwide so we always save up the points to stay here in Roma. It's like coming home every time. I'm still amazed at how well the staff remembers us year after year. I'm a runner and so the proximity to the Borghese Gardens is... More

We redeemed our Marriott reward points at the Flora. The hotel is nice, even if a bit tired but well maintained and spotlessly clean. Well sized room and bathroom with good amenities and nice view over the Porta Pinciana Walls. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Breakfast could have been better. I'd say a better quality of products, more attention to details... More

Being here at Marriott grand Flora for the first time, and back in Rome for the first time since 1985 makes this vist unique. Booked room redeeming bonus points (5 days) everything work fine. Excellent room (not very large, but doable), clean, nice layout and furnitures, refurbished, just what you expect from a high standard hotel. Bar area is very... More

We decided to go to the Flora because our favorite hotel Majestic 1. had no vacancies 2. Had given me a second floor room, noisy and the view of grey wall across the road. Sure enough, the Flora decided to give us -prime long-term guest material- a second-story room on top of a busy 24-hour taxicab parking and the view... More

We stayed for 5 nights in room 309 and found it to be perfect. There were three of us so this room worked out very well. Also next door to the elevator tot he fabulous 7th floor rooftop terrace which was very convenient ... if you stay on the other side of the hotel, you have to walk around or... More

The hotel is actually pretty tired and the staff didn't seem to want to literally be working....AT ALL. The service was nonexistant! They seemed very disinterested in the clientele as a whole. We have been to Rome about 15 times and have had many great stays and a couple not so great ones. This stay falls in the latter. Being... More

My wife and I were on a 2.5 week 25th wedding anniversary trip which started in Barcelona, and made its way through the south of France, on to Florence and concluded with three nights/four days in Rome. We were in Rome November 1-4. There was no doubt that the Marriott Grand Flora was the highlight hotel of our trip. Big,... More

As Marriott platinum members on our honeymoon we were very excited for this stay but left sorely disappointed. The biggest letdowns were the friendliness of the staff (non-existent until we told them we were moving to a different hotel) and how dated the rooms were. Service was also poor, for example there was a concierge desk that we never saw... More

We ended our 2 week holiday by staying at the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora for 3 nights. It's a BIG hotel and the rooms are giant. Our room had a separate shower and bathtub. The hotel is delightfully outdated, meaning it has a lot of classic character, is very enjoyable, and is very clean, but you do notice the... More

Our stay in this hotel was just incredible! First, it is very grand and beautiful and top-notch. The rooms are large and well-appointed (nice linens, updated decor, nice furniture). The bathroom was so pretty - marble with high quality towels and toiletries. (even has speakers so you can pipe the TV into the bathroom)! Even the closets were nice -... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
