This was our first trip to Rome, so we made our decision on location and reviews. We were very pleased with the excellent service, clean rooms, great views from the roof top breakfast terrace, and location. From here you are only a ten minute walk to the Spanish Steps, Galley Borghese, and other attractions. Across the street is Harry's Bar,... More

Stayed for business. Perfectly adequate hotel (average). Breakfast area has great views but apart from that everything else is simply ok. Expensive for average though. It's location is a little far from the tourist attractions. Not a problem when staying for business but wouldn't stay here for pleasure

Dear Guest, Please let me just inform you that the walking distance to Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain is approx. 15/20 minutes. The famous Villa Borghese garden is right next to the hotel. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back at the Marriott Grand Hotel Flora. Thank you for your loyalty to Marriott Hotels and Resorts. More

Only stay here if it's an overnighter. Far from tourist attractions. They offer a shuttle to and from city center for ten euros that goes every other hour. You lose time by waiting for the every other hour shuttle and the same on the way back. Stay closer to termini which is close to all attractions. Nice hotel for Marriott... More

We decided to return after visiting in 2008. The hotel is beautiful but the service is excellent. Marco at the front desk was very gracious in answering all of our questions and offering recommendations. We had a fabulous stay and want to bring our children here to enjoy it. The location is perfect, quiet and away from all of the... More

We spent five nights at this hotel on a family vacation. The hotel itself is typical of a Marriott business-class hotel where everything was in order without being spectacular. That being said, this hotel is worth staying at for one reason....the rooftop setting for breakfast. The outdoor patio on the top of the hotel where breakfast is served offers an... More

Booked junior suite and it was nicely made up for our welcome with a bottle of sparkling waiting in an ice bucket as a welcome gift. Entering the rooftop terrace for breakfast the next morning was just "wow". Panoramic view of Rome. Just fantastic. That was about it for the pros. The breakfast quality was a bit disgraceful considering the... More

The property is run down and in urgent need for renovation. Service is lousy and the staff is unfriendly. Breakfast is poor quality and poor service. Instead of a king size bed that we booked we got two small beds that were joined together, but with a gap in between the two mattresses, so we had to maneuver in order... More

We stayed at this hotel in two stints for 1 night during each stay. I am a Gold Marriott rewards member and used Points to book the room. During the first stay we had a small room which did have a lovely terrace. For the second stay we had a large executive room which was wonderful. The breakfast was nice... More

Only stay for a night for cruise transfer and found it so nice a hotel that we will visit again next time in Rome. Comfortable and welcoming services. They even have you choice of pillows and bedroom is spacious and well conditioned. Bed is good as home.

This hotel has a lot of history. It once housed the chancellory of Adolf Hitler in Rome... It's since seen substantial remodel,, in its current state. The wait staff are exceptional, the suites are beautiful. I will definitely stay here again on special occasions. I also liked the proximity to the park and outdoor restaurants, such as Harry's Rome.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
