4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had six nights here, and on the whole liked this hotel. The room we had on our first night was a disappointment, as it was small, hot, and the air con was noisy, but they upgraded us to a suite, and that was very nice. The staff are efficient and our room was kept extremely clean. Breakfasts are ok,... More

I can start with that they could not find my reservation even though I showed them my email confirmation and they told me that did not mean anything?? The "concierge" gave me a restaurant reservation that turned out to be horrible. When I went back the next day to tell him I had to wait as he was given the... More

Our hotel room is the Deluxe with Queen size bed. The room is small but very clean and comfortable. The pillows are big and feathery (which we prefer) and you can request different ones if needed. Our Marriott membership status gives us free Internet and complimentary breakfast (breakfast is 30 EU otherwise) during our stay. The breakfast is served in... More

We stayed here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary for 4 nights towards the end of the month. We were just off our cruise so we arrived before 10:00 am. With such an early arrival we were expecting to have to wait for quite awhile to get to our room. Well after only a half hour wait, surprise our room... More

Located at the top of Via Veneto and directly across from Boghese Gardens. Arrived early from a long flight and our room was ready. The staff was friendly and helpful through out our stay. The gentlemen serving in the bar were great. We stopped in every afternoon after site seeing to enjoy a wine or Pellegino. They remembered what we... More

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the Rome Marriott Grand Flora hotel. I used Marriott Rewards points for my room. To be honest, it is likely that my praise of this hotel is due largely to the fact I was upgraded to a beautiful 1-bedroom suite, as opposed to excellent service, value, or amenities. Don't get me... We booked this hotel on Marriott points and were disappointed to see how far out of town it is. We had a 1.5 mile walk to anything we wanted to see (Spanish steps, pantheon, etc..). We arrived at the hotel at 10pm and were put in a room in which the lights didn't work. We had upgraded to a suite and... More

Just back from a short business and leisure trip around Italy, which included a three day stay in Marriott Grand Hotel Flora, Rome. High standard top quality hotel, as you would expect. And in a very good area. What I find particularly odd is a top quality international hotel, that does not have any room service facilities after 11.30pm. It... More

We stayed at the Grand Flora for a week and had a basically acceptable experience. The up side was that the junior suite on the second floor was quiet. Great sound insulation from the street below. The front desk staff was attentive and friendly. The wireless worked well. The location is great. The down side was predictable. The furnishings were... More

My wife and I stayed at the Rome Marriott Flora in November 2014 and absolutely loved it. It was close enough to all of the major sights that we walked the entire time. We were never more than 20-30 minutes walk away from the farthest locations. On top of that Rome is such an incredible city that the walking was... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
