Good visit, I would come back. It is very pricy, but the customer service is amazing. It is located in a very good area. Spagna metro stop is right next door, grocery store, great restaurants nearby. I recommend it but only if you are not on a budget. Breakfast is NOT included...

It might sound humorous but the sheets at the Grand Flora are really special and luxurious. I miss them as soon as I check in anywhere else. The service and caring style of Yolanda , who is everywhere checking on everything, Sostina and the concierge Massimo make for a wonderful stay. As Marriott Platinum member we were upgraded to Suite... More

Upon check-in, we anticipated a small room typical of most European hotels. We were greeted by a wonderfully nice woman at the front desk who was happy to answer questions and to provide recommendations. The staff proved to be very accommodating to Americans and we saw many other American guests during our stay. Upon arriving to our room, we were... More

On entering the lobby the hotel had the feel of a grand, elegant, classic hotel. The hotel has a very good position for visiting the many attractions of Rome and the city is easily walkable. The room was very comfortable and despite being on the front of the hotel on a busy road it was very quiet. Breakfast was in... More

If you look at most of my posts I've been a very loyal Marriott customer for years. Tonight I checked into the Marriott grand flora Rome for a five night stay with three rooms for my family I truly was speechless when the front desk person told me that although we had three rooms and I am a platinum member... With the elegance of the old world, this hotel is splendidly located on the cosmopolitan, hip Via Vittorio Venetto, and right before the entrance of one of the most romantic cache names in the world, Vila Borghese. It's the avenue of La Dolce Vita, 5 star hotels and their eateries, the blocks long American Embassy and the ubiquitous Italian fashion.... More

Yes, the location is fabulous and yes the view from the rooftop is beautiful, yes the beds are comfortable. BUT, this is not worthy of a 5 star hotel simply because it carries the name Marriott. The rooms are small (even for European standards) there is no coffee/tea in the room, and the service failed us on many levels.

Rooms very nice, service excellent, breakfast area is wonderful with view of Rome, bar staff is wonderful and great wine. Would certainly recommend Hotel Flora. Rooms small, but beds comfortable and chocolate on bed at nigh is the BEST.

Friendly, intimate reception and front desk. Pleasant rooms (executive rooms very overpriced for what they actually offer), albeit pretty compact. Lifts are slow, have to pay for wi-fi. Great roof terrace breakfast site, and altogether the location is the real selling point.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous Marriott property on Via Veneto! To wake up and have a few of the Borgese Gardense...well,it truly exceeded my expectations! I did use points to stay here which sometimes the service can be less than stellar, but not here!! Eduardo at front desk was more than helpful. We were here for 5... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
