This hotel was recommended to us by our tour service and upon arrival we were unimpressed. The smallest bathrooms I have ever had, like being on a cruise ship! Small old rooms with peeling carpet and stained walls. Was very disappointed. The good things- beautiful view on the room and lots of breakfast. Unfortunately, didn't make up for the rest... More

This was the first time my wife and I had visited Italy so we started in Rome. Luckily, we had sufficient reward points to book a stay at the Grand Flora for three nights. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday after traveling overnight from DC. When we arrived we asked for a room with any type of view... More

Just got back from two week trip to Europe. it was hard to stomach the lack of service, bad coffee , the dirty carpets , and general confusion in hotel. I am being generous with 3 stars. Get coffee that does not taste burnt. Get service mgr in charge of insuring clients are seated and serviced in timely manner. Comping... More

The hotel is located where one can walk to historic attractions or take the metro. It is about a 10-15 walk to the metro station. My room was nice. Breakfast on the roof was disappointing. I had heard good things. It was to cold to sit outside so only smokers did. The food was just OK. No freshly cooked food... More

Grand old world luxury hotel. Wonderful accommodation with balcony offering a magnificent view of Via Veneto. Lovely buffet breakfast at rooftop terrace. Helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Superb location in the center of Rome. Memorable experience!

My wife and I stayed here often during business trips. The entire street is excellent for high end shopping and also dining. Eat there, of course, but also try the little places on side streets. We loved it!

Breakfast on the top deck Wonderful. The most amazing views in Rome. Spanish steps close by and easy to go to restaurants and shopping. Harrys across the street has good food and drinks. Went to Ninos good food. Hotel is very nice. Staff could be great and at times a little edge depending on who you got. Waited to get... More

First of all I rarely write reviews and this one is three weeks late - I apologize for that. I travel frequently for business as does my wife and we have hectic schedules. This weekend (Memorial Day in the US) was different as we finagled a weekend together in Rome - she traveled from the East, I the west and... More

We stayed at the Marriott for 5 days and had 2 rooms for the family. Great location outside the park and well within walking distance to the Roma city action as well as the ruins. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
