We started our 3 week anniversary vacation in Rome. We had never visited Europe before so we weren't sure what to expect. We were blown away by the Grand Flora! We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor of the hotel that had a bedroom, bathroom, living room and a huge walk in closet with a very nice... More

The hotel has been renovated since we were there in 1980. We loved it then and we really love it now. Marriott bought the property and has done a wonderful job of keeping the grand old hotel in tip top decor. Friendliness exudes from the staff at every level. Our stay in Rome could not have been more pleasant. Our... More

This is a strange hotel with a beautiful location in Rome. The rooms are small - mine was small, my colleague's was very very small !!! The breakfast terrace is incredible - but the buffet is very average. The staff does not seem very happy throughout. One more killer is the issue with telecomunications. Wifi only worked 10% of the... More

I went to the Hotel Flora for a wedding reception on July 12 last year and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the view was absolutely stunning and the event manager Lavinia was great! Thank you for the good time!

I'm writing this three days into a five-night stay - heck of a rainstorm has interrupted what has been great weather so I have some time on my hands. Like others have noted, this is an older property and (at least) our room is somewhat small but very, very comfortable. Our room has a very comfortable queen bed, a dresser... More

Location, Location, Location This was our first time in Rome on vacation and found the Rome Marriott Grand Flora an excellent location as a base to tour the city. Located on Via Veneto it is just across the street from Villa Borghese, a fantastic park to just relax and observe the locals. The Spanish Steps is about a fifteen minute... More

Bent over backward to adapt room and assist when a member of our party ruptured a knee tendon while in Assisi. . Put handicap bars in bathroom, obtained wheelchair, brace etc for us, rearranged rooms, on and on. Only lack was no way to make a cup of coffee in the bedroom.

This Marriott hotel is beautifully situated on the Via Veneto just outside the gates of the Villa Borghese. A visit to the Borghese Galleria is a must do in Rome--fabulous sculpture, and the villa itself is a treasure. The hotel is in walking distance to the Spanish Steps and Piazza, and from there on to the Corso and the forum... More

This hotel is on Via Veneto, which is a lovely area. The hotel itself was originally part of the property owned by the Borghese family, whose gorgeous estate is right across the street. The staff at reception were very helpful and polite. Sylvia went out of her way to help me with a boarding pass printing problem. The concierge, whose... More

Marriott is my favorite chain and I have Stayed here a few times now. The hotel has spacious quite rooms and the location is fabulous. Rome never gets old and if you want comfort, clean elegant rooms choose this location. Breakfast on the rooftop is fabulous and so the food selection. This is also a nice place to sit and... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
