Had a 3 night stay on points this week. Knew the hotel was well located and nice but was unsure of the treatment a mid-tiered gold gets here. I usually stay at the Cavalieri as a diamond but they have been cutting back a lot on perks and not in a convenient location. The Grand Flora went beyond expectations! Upgraded... More

Beautiful hotel on one of the seven hills of Rome. Our room was above the ancient wall of Rome looking over into the Borghese gardens. The view was beautiful from our room as the large windows could swing open. Nice rooms and the rooftop breakfast was great with an amazing view of Rome.

Myself and my wife spent 3 night at this beautiful hotel. We are celebrating our4 wedding anniversary in Rome. The location of the hotel is just amazing. Everything is just a walking distance. The Vatican city is about 45 minutes walk; the fountain; the Spanish Steps; old Rome and the coloseum. no need for a taxi when you in this... More

My family stayed at this hotel from 3/24-3/29 in two deluxe rooms "connected" by an exterior door which were very quiet and comfortable for the four of us. The rooms while not my decorating style were very clean and very comfortable [great bathrooms!]. Due to our Marriott status we had free wifi and breakfast on the beautiful roof terrace. Giovanni,... The hotel is beatiful and is very close to the Borghese Gardens , within walking distance of the Spanish Steps and the Borghese Gallery . Colosseum and the Vatican are a 10-minute taxi ride. The rooms are large and we were upgraded to the apartment. The rooms are very nice and clean, the bathroom is small, but the hotel is... More

I am a Marriott platinum member and we book at this hotel based off Marriott brand loyalty. That being said the hotel is amazing. It is located right next to the city wall about .5 mile from U.S embassy. The rooms are nothing to write home about but that is my experience in all hotels in Europe. The lobby and... More

Currently staying in this hotel when I am writing this review. Will be looking for new hotel today. Just to give context,I am platinum with marriott and spg. Stayed in westin excelsior in... More

We stayed at the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora prior to a transatlantic cruise in November 2014. We knew next to nothing of Italy or Rome upon our arrival but very quickly fell in love with all we encountered. Since our return home we have been trying to arrange a return visit. The property is centrally located just a few... More

The best of the hotel is the attitude of the staff and the location. It is about a 10 minute walk to the colosseum and plenty of restaurants are within 2 blocks. The worst is the bathroom...no counter space or hooks. BUT if you like baths, they make up for it! Bubble bath ("bath foam") is included in their daily... More

I now refuse to stay anywhere else when I re - visit Roma. Staff are amazing and nothing is too much for them. Rooms are nice, but the best bit is the breakfast on the rooftop. Amazing views over the city - frankly nothing beats a glass of cold prosecco whilst admiring the Vatican City, colosseum and everything in between.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
