Rome is such lively city, but, can be difficult to navigate by foot if you want to enjoy all the historic sights this city offers in a brief time. We decided to hire a private driver to take us around for two days to absorb as many sights as possible. But, during the evenings we were on our own and... More

This hotel was just average, the rooms and amenities were out dated and thw entire property could use a face lift. The breakfast buffet on the rooftop each morning had great views of the cities skyline. The location of the hotel wasn't very convenient for tourists, you have a long walk or a taxing ride to get to any of... More

We stayed here on a family vacation with our kids. We had a junior suite on the 6th floor that had one bedroom with a king bed and a pullout sofa in the lounge. The bedroom was quite large, the living room smaller but the suite had a small dressing closet which was a great way to get luggage out... More

The Marriott Grand Hotel Flora in Rome is located right at the entrance to the Borghese Gardens and walking distance to the museum (Villa). It is beautifully appointed and wonderfully staffed. The front desk people and bellhops are friendly and attentive. We woke up late for a private Vatican tour and they calmly and professionally secured us a taxi and... More

The hotel is very clean rooms are spacious staff are ok. Breakfast is good. The terrace view is magnificent overlooking the Vatican. Opposite to the hotel there Harry's bar a very nice place to spend sometime and have dinner. Also the park close to the hotel is great if you like morning run. It's a place that I will visit... Very pleasant stay. I enjoyed the comfort of the brand abroad as a platinum member in the U.S. The rooftop included breakfast buffet was AMAZING with stunning views of the city. Very central location but enough away from busy areas as not to be overly touristy.

I am a Marriott Platinum member so I stay in a lot of Marriotts every year. This hotel was the end of a 2 week vacation in Italy in which I booked 2 out of our 3 nights with points. Although the staff were friendly, we did not have hot water (ice cold!) for 2 out of our 3 showers... More

We were in Rome for two days and picked the Flora for its central location at the top of the Via Veneto. Very friendly and helpful service, great out side bar for warm nights and outstanding rooftop breakfast. The rooms were a bit sparse for furniture but very livable. Right across the street from Harry's Bar - terrific food and... More

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location opposite the Borgese Gardens. Do not miss breakfast on the roof with the magnificent view of the city and the Vatican. Avoid men at the desk.... Women are fabulous.

The Grand Flora is in a super location, away from the tourist crowds and adjacent to the Borghese Garden. Very neighborhood friendly location. Terrific neighborhood charm. This is the neighborhood I wish I could live in if I were to live in Roma. The staff is very friendly upon checkin and throughout our stay. The included breakfast was more than... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
