This hotel was overall fabulous. The location was away from the hustle bustle of rome city but close to public transport area. The service was prompt and food was good. Will highly recommend this place.

Our second visit to Rome and we decided without hesitation to return to the Canada. We asked for our old room and got it! The best things about the Canada in Rome is breakfast it is extensive and fresh (though some of my cappuccinos were tepid), location with the Metro around the corner and Termini a 7 minute walk and... A hotel tucked away from the hub bub of Rome but within walking distance of a train or bus. Excellent service, food and value for money. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again ourselves.

Stayed here for New year .Just got back. This is our second visit to this Hotel and it’s a good find. It’s a hotel which just feels nice , it’s a best western and 3 star and I would be surprised if it didn’t appeal. The staff are very pleasant, especially at breakfast time very attentive with a smile too,... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend over New Years, and had a fantastic time. All staff are very friendly, multi lingual and very knowledgeable about the area. There was a gentlemen I believe named Arber on the reception desk who stood out to us for his excellent service, humour and also helped motivate us to speak Italian. Would definitely recommend this... More

Stayed as a family from 28/12/14 to 01/01/15; excellent location, very nice décor and very efficient/pleasant staff. First time I have ever added a review to TripAdvisor but this hotel is so good it deserves a review - would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome

The location of this hotel is just right ... 5 mins walk from Termini but away from the seedy hotels that are in the lanes immediately surrounding the station. The hotel itself has lovely period features. The triple room was very spacious. The breakfast fare was generous and used to be available from 7 to 10.30 am. Although there is... More

Loved this hotel. Staff are lovely. Rooms are beautiful. Great central location with lots of eateries nearby. Transport is readily accessible. Good price. Rooms are quite spacious which is great when travelling as a family. Bed was a little lumpy, but not too bad. Rooms are sound proofed so no outside noise. Loved the breakfast. Will definitely stay again if... More

This is a nice older style hotel. Very small elevator, no AC in rooms but still jhas a certain charm. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the wireless to work well enough and was in Rome on business. Not a lot of amenities but if you plan on spending a minimal amount of time in a room, not the worst you can... More

We recently stayed 6 nights at this hotel with a family of 4. From a prompt response via email confirming our reservation prior to our arrival, to the morning we departed, we all enjoyed our stay at this property. The room was spacious and well appointed, the high painted ceilings gave us the feeling of even greater roominess. The beds... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
