My wife and I have just spent 6 nights at Best Western Canada for visiting Rome for Italy v Wales rugby Hotel is fantastic, staff very friendly, breakfast was great, bar prices for wine were very good and the room was the best we have ever had having visited Rome several times. Will definitely be recommending this to everyone visiting... More

As two couples we stayed for 4 nights. The welcome was excellent from Arber (or Basil Faulty as he likes to be called), he really made us feel at home. During the stay we had some laughs together but he was always respectful and professional. The rest to the reception team were also professional, knowledgeable and friendly at all times.... More

We chose this hotel because of good reviews and also because it was well situated. When we got there we had a very beautiful room very big, with small parlour at the entrance although we paid for a standard room. The hotel is absolutely true to the pictures you see. The room is very nice though with a baroque decoration... More

This Hotel is a fair place. The way it is presented fits perfectly the real place. It is a 3 stars hotel with clean rooms and kind personnel. The fact that it is near and well connected to the city center is undoubtedly a Plus.

Only 5 minutes luggage drag from the central railway station and airport coach drop the Hotel Canada is an oasis of calm, quality and good service. Reception is friendly, welcoming and efficient and the rooms (up the "two at a time, suck in the guts guys"lift) are a delight of frescoed walls, ceilings and enormous beds. This was a return... We loved the Best Western Hotel Canada. It's a short walk from the Termini station, which was important since we were getting around by public transport. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the hotel itself is charming. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished, and breakfast was outstanding - lots of variety beautifully presented in a lovely dining... More

I notice with a smile one reviewer stating this hotel would need a few 'little extras' to make it truly great. I'm not sure - other than the ever-smiling barman offering me a free foot rub - what more they could do. It's a mid-range priced hotel; you're not going to get Michelangelo arranging your towels or famous chef Locatelli... More

My wife and I have just returned from Rome and were very pleased with the hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and the location was ideal. Having a hotel like this can only add to the enjoyment of the stay.

This hotel is clean, friendly & quaint. Within easy walking distance of the Roman Metro, it is handy to the amazing sights of Rome at a reasonable rate. A very adequate breakfast is included. A night time snack buffet is provided by the hotel & is appreciated after a long day touring.

the location is good if you want to be close to the central bus and train station. But it's not next to the major touristic sites. It was clean and friendly and the Buffet breakfast was very good. It had an old charm but than lacked the modern practical parts such as a fridge or kettle in the room. The... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
