The hotel was very comfortable and I would leave an excellent rating but upon checkout I was charged a city tax of 10 euros cash. I paid it because I trust people but thinking about it more it made no sense to pay 10 euros with no documentation. That was my first experience in Rome so I wasn't more aware.... More

Dear Guest, With reference to your complaint, we would like to inform you that the amount of the city tax in Rome for a 3 star hotel (as we are) is Euros 4,00 per person per night. Everytime a guest of ours make its check-out our computer generates a receipt for the total amount of the stay; on the very... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in August during our visit to Rome. Conveniently located near the rail station with easy access to all rail, metro and transport links. The BW Hotel Canada is a very well run and professional hotel. Comfortable rooms, well maintained, great service from all staff, a comfortable bar/lounge and a good breakfast service. We were... We had a triple room that was very quiet, clean and well-appointed. A short walk to Termini Station for the Metro and local buses, as well as trains makes hotel convenient to all the important sites. The front desk folks are extremely helpful. The bright and airy breakfast room has friendly and efficient staff who serve a variety of hot... More

BEST WESTERN CARD MEMBERS: We thought this hotel exuded atmosphere. From the moment you enter you feel as though you have stepped back in time to a lovely Italian home; from the furniture to the pictures. The lift was super, an old fashioned "Shutter door" style, that held 4 people. It takes you back to bygone romantic days. The staff;... More

If you want a hotel that is centrally located and has a staff that is willing to help you 24 hours a day than this is the hotel for you. The rooms at the hotel are a nice size and the bathroom is large. The rooms are quiet and have blackout curtains for sleeping. The breakfast is fantastic and offers... More

Stunning hotel, within a 5-10 minute walk from the termini train station. Staff very helpful and friendly. No evening meal available, but a very good restaurant just up the road 'Brambles'. rooms very clean, and roomy!

We spent two nights at this hotel. It is very clean and quiet inside. Staff is courteous and breakfast was very nice for a buffet. I would definitely stay again. Very nice find in Rome at a reasonable rate.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
