This was my 6th stay at Hotel Canada in the last 10 years and as always I was not disappointed in any way. Hotel is in excellent location close to Metro, Rome Termini and many quality restaurants. Rooms are spacious and very clean with free Wi-Fi and a very nice breakfast with many selections including fresh fruit. As always staff... More

On our first trip to Italy we chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. The location was very convenient for the train station and we were able to walk to the Colosseum. The hotel was very charming and a nice change from big-box hotels. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was a good size for European hotels... More

The BW Canada is around the corner from the Rome Metro 'B' line, one stop from Termini, which means you're no more than about 20 minutes from anywhere you want to go. There are a dozen restaurants nearby, running from small sandwich takeaway places to cozy bistros to gelato shops. The lobby is nicely done and clean, and the staff... More

We picked this hotel because it was in walking distance to the train station. We were really surprised how wonderful the hotel was. Upon arrival, we were greeted with food in the bar area. It was just what we needed after a hard day of travel. We were able to buy drinks at the bar and enjoy various food items... More

Stayed here for four nights on our first trip to Rome. Very convenient location as close to Termini Station and the nearest Metro station just around the corner. Ours was a standard room but we were pleasantly surprised to find a four poster bed and an elaborate painted ceiling. Only down side of our room was that it was on... More

We have stayed at Hotel Canada several times, from the efficient, friendly staff to the charming antique elevator, we love this hotel. The decor is old world, the rooms spacious. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries & many other delicious items. The prices for beverages at the hotel bar are a bargain and lots of complimentary happy hour treats.... More

Having decided to forgo a nights accommodation expense and escape a cell like room in a more central location I was delighted by the welcome and wonderful room I was given at this hotel. I fell into it with joy and many thanks for the contrasting experience for not many more Euros. It is sooo large and well appointed...designed for... More

Good and clean. We got a room facing Viale Castro Pretorio and it was a bit noisy, although the double glazed windows did a decent job. Some of our neighbours were quite loud and sound proofing wasn't the best. I also found odd that our room did not have a minibar. Breakfast was good. Many choices including eggs, salsages, yoghurt,... More

Wow, this little boutique hotel is magnificent. Everything from the buffet breakfast, to the rooms and the delightful, efficient, helpful, curtious, staff. We stayed five nights all up, both before and after a tour. On returning the reception staff remember our names and treated us like we were family. In fact his hotel,is set up in the public areas as... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
