Our daughter had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, so it came recommended. We would not usually book a three star hotel however this hotel would be very worthy of four star plus! Staff were lovely, breakfasts delicious, the room was a great size and the whole hotel spotless clean. We were able to walk from the hotel... More

This establishment was recommended by a colleague who lived in Rome for many years. We were not sure what to expect since this was more European than we were used to. However, it was fantastic. The room was just right, with a wonderful breakfast that had so much to offer. We still talk about the fresh tomatoes and cheese. After... More

Stayed here with my husband and 7 year old daughter for 4 nights. Had previously stayed here in 2000 and 2001. Wonderful hotel with a personal touch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful room, lovely lobby with lots of complementary nibbles and really reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

Two thumbs up! This hotel is an older esteemed property that has been refurbished successfully. Location is great, just 6 blocks from Termini (main railway terminal) and 1 1/2 blks from Metro station. Staff is very friendly and responsive. Hotel has nice lobby and a surprisingly inexpensive bar. The best feature of hotel is the breakfast - absolutely award winning!... More

Located within walking distance from Roma Termini central railway station so transfer from Fiumicino airport using Leonardo express train to the hotel was fast and easy. Hotel is quite small, the staff is friendly and helpful. Room was good. There is a bar and a good breakfast, also you can order snack and drinks in room - but if you... More

Stayed here for one night with two friends and I was delighted with everything about this hotel. It was an amazing price for how lovely the room was and the service. Everyone who worked there was lovely to us and helped us by printing off a ticket we needed and they were charming while doing so. Our room was clean... More

My mum and I are staying here for her 75th birthday, we could not be more pleased by everything this hotel has to offer from clean stylish rooms to delicious breakfasts via free wifi and friendly and helpful staff. Hotel Canada does feel like a hidden gem and in all honesty I'm reluctant to praise it too much in case... More

I stayed at the hotel for a week over the Xmas 2014 period. It is located within a stone's throw of a metro station and about a short walk from the train station. Very easy to get to. Many options for restaurants in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, providing directions and advice on everything from buying a... More

Fantastic place. Only basic facilities (so no pool etc) but a great place to stop never the less. Rooms are well sized, beautifully decorated and very clean. It's in an ideal location for the train / metro (less than 5 mins walk) and is surrounded by restaurants so finding a decent meal in the afternoon/evening is easy. Breakfast is a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
