My stay: 4 nights, Aug 27 to Aug 31. I chose the Hotel Canada after debating for weeks if I should stay near some of the more popular sites. This has turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made for this trip! The area is peaceful, although very close to Rome Termini station. After walking for hours... More

This is a great hotel in a clean nice safe area in Rome close to Metro and with close restaurants open till late. Very good for family with spacious rooms free wifi good breakfast including Cappucino. Staff are professional although they still retain the attitude. Taxi ordered in 5 minutes and central station Termini about 10 mins walk.

Really enjoyed our stay with family of 4. It is a clean, well run hotel with a great location - very close to Metro, and main railway station. Reasonable restaurants close at hand. Quiet neighbourhood.

All of our expectations were exceeded when we spent five lovely days in Hotel Canada. All of the staff were charming and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was comfortable and of a high standard, but with more of a boutique hotel than the chain hotel feel I was expecting. Pictures of the managers' and their... More

Impressed by this friendly, well-kept establishment. This hotel provides a perfect backdrop to your Roman holiday. It's situated at the end of a street in a less-busy corner of Rome, although the thoroughfare on busy Viale Castro Pretorio offers a steady hum. We were greeted by the very professional Vicenzo upon arrival. Our room was spacious for a party of... More

Arrived here on say so of trip advisor. What a gem. Staying here 5 nights and this only day 2. I am writing this as I have not experience the total package before. Rooms comfortable and spotless. You couldn't ask for a better looking hotel, the decor makes the hotel look very authentic, the manual lift is a wonderful touch, all the rooms look stunning. Staff were friendly and welcoming, bar was well staffed, breakfast was nice with a wide selection but the milk was a little too warm for my taste, nevertheless there was plenty of... More

There is a reason everyone loves this hotel. It is done right in every way. Great location and an easy walk from the train station. Neighborhood dining options abound. The rooms and hallways are lined with gold framed Roman sketches. The rooms are adorned with big solid old world wood doors. Windows are doubled for blissful sleep (although the neighborhood... More

My partner and my Son stayed at this hotel while we were exploring the sights of Rome. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the main terminal which made it very handy. The room was very clean and decorated nicely. The air conditioning was a blessing. One of the best features of the hotel was the staff, they... More

Had an excellent stay at Hotel Canada. We booked triple and double rooms for family of five. Rooms were very spacious(much better space compared to european standards), highly comfortable and beautifully decorated. Triple room was never crowded with one double bed and one single bed. Hotel is very conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood (our rooms were on 4th floor... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In an elegant period palazzo in the centre of Rome, the BEST WESTERN Hotel Canada represents the fruit of the experience of generations of hoteliers and a tradition of hospitality that renews itself every day. A recent refurbishment has rediscovered the original architecture of the building housing the hotel - constructed in 1870 to provide accommodation for officers from the nearby barracks of Castro Pretorio The Hotel Canada is easily reachable from the main central station "Termini" (circa 400 m) and well connected with both airports of Rome, Leonardo da Vinci/ Fiumicino and Ciampino. The Hotel Canada is located in a very comfortable position. Being close to the subway (Line B, Castro Pretorio's stop) allows every guest to reach the famous and touristic Rome downtown in just a few minutes. ... more   less
