We stayed for 3 nights and were just amazed by that huge, fresh and delicious breakfast-buffet (in Rome nobody eats much more than some biscotti and coffee), the staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel was clean and silent! The subway is just around the corner, so you'll reach Termini (main railway station) within one station and all... More

This hotel is a wonderful experience. The location is good and near a metro stop. I found the frton desk very helpful, had a delicious breakfast every morning and they have fresh, lovely rooms. Be sure to arrange for your breakfast as part of your room rate - it is well worth it. Also, if it is raining - they... More

Stayed there for 4 nights from 21st Feb 2015 with Osprey Holidays who arranged airport connections. As suggested by other reviewers we asked in advance for a room on 5th floor. Little traffic noise if windows were closed but we were too tired from walking everywhere to stay awake. Breakfast was excellent but if you are looking for an evening... More

Our daughter had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, so it came recommended. We would not usually book a three star hotel however this hotel would be very worthy of four star plus! Staff were lovely, breakfasts delicious, the room was a great size and the whole hotel spotless clean. We were able to walk from the hotel... More

This establishment was recommended by a colleague who lived in Rome for many years. We were not sure what to expect since this was more European than we were used to. However, it was fantastic. The room was just right, with a wonderful breakfast that had so much to offer. We still talk about the fresh tomatoes and cheese. After... More

Stayed here with my husband and 7 year old daughter for 4 nights. Had previously stayed here in 2000 and 2001. Wonderful hotel with a personal touch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful room, lovely lobby with lots of complementary nibbles and really reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

Two thumbs up! This hotel is an older esteemed property that has been refurbished successfully. Location is great, just 6 blocks from Termini (main railway terminal) and 1 1/2 blks from Metro station. Staff is very friendly and responsive. Hotel has nice lobby and a surprisingly inexpensive bar. The best feature of hotel is the breakfast - absolutely award winning!... More

Located within walking distance from Roma Termini central railway station so transfer from Fiumicino airport using Leonardo express train to the hotel was fast and easy. Hotel is quite small, the staff is friendly and helpful. Room was good. There is a bar and a good breakfast, also you can order snack and drinks in room - but if you... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
