We found Best Western Hotel Canada, Roma Italy to be a very friendly place and very clean with comfortable beds and nicely appointed rooms. It was located with many good restaurants around it and a taxi ride to many attractions. The staff was very helpful and our overall experience was great - hope to return to it.

My family spent one night in the Best Western Hotel Canada. We have two boys, ages 9 and 12, and wanted to share one room. We had a very difficult time finding a reasonably priced hotel room that would accommodate our family until we stumbled on this gem. Friendly staff, good location, well-appointed, modern bathroom, air conditioned (!), lovely lobby,... More

Every evening the bar/lounge provided a wonderful variety of antipasti, free of charge. Rooms were clean and the front desk was always ready to assist you. The sights and restaurants are within walking distance. I stay there every trip to Rome.

In recent years we two have generally stayed at Hiltons but we are so pleased we found this gem while touring with a young granddaughter. Previous reviewers have thoroughly outlined the virtues of this property: great location, friendly and helpful employees, pleasant rooms in a wonderfully restored building, lovely breakfast, and reasonable rates. Our room would be called a junior... More

Lovely and close to the metro, this hotel was a great place to stay. The room was comfortable but not huge (2 adults and 2 teenagers),It was clean and air-conditioned! The breakfast room was bright and airy and the breakfast range was more than adequate.

We stayed for one night with 2 teenage boys. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and space allotted (we had a double bed and 2 twins). The location was convenient to sights and airport. The breakfast was amazing, anything you could possibly want. I don't recommend going to Rome in July though - it was about... More

We stayed at Hotel Canada for seven nights. The staff, the rooms and the location are excellent. We walked to all of the central attractions only succumbing to a taxi on two occasions owing to the heat. The wi-fi was great and the bar gave excellent value. The snacks provided were a nice touch.

We had two rooms for my family of 5. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The wifi worked intermittently. We didn't eat at the hotel but chose to regularly eat at Rossi which was awesome and just down the street. The hotel was a bit out of the way of all of the tourist sites.... More

Went to Rome with family in May and was lucky to choose this hotel; conveniently located near metro, almost all important things are close by and to top it the service is amazing.. Smiling front desk, restaurant and all other staff make your stay super comfortable..

This hotel is clean, tidy and all of the staff are polite. The hotel does have a slightly formal feel about it but I think this is because a lot of guests here are staying for business. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy but a little dark. It served as a good but not spectacular base for... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
