The foyer is pleasant which is a red herring because once in the rooms you understand that the hotel is not up to scratch. The room we had was like a prison cell with a tiny corner window but no other natural light. The shower is tiny and broken so water flooded the floor no matter what you tried. The... More

After checking out Trip advisor found it easy to get train to Termini from Civvitavaechia. Came out wrong entrance (not on Marsala), but got easily back on track and found hotel no problem. We arrived early at hotel but room was ready. Room first floor corner, looking on to back court. probably better than facing the street. However, area not... More

Convenient hotel next to metro station. Surrounding area is calm. Breakfast pretty good, coffee is great. The printer I wanted to use for printing entrance tickets to Vatican City and boarding tickets was out of order. Staff couldn't offer any way to help (use their office printer) that was quite poor service.

Wifi is very poor although it stated they can be used in the room, I tried all 4 nights with no success and at the end I had to use the Wifi from next door hotel and it worked better. Complained to Reception 3 times and every time same answers we would look into it but nobody bothered to give... More

Booked this hotel for my stay in Rome from 13-17August2014. Good :Conveniently located near the Termini station. A few eateries near the hotel. No fuss check in or out. Very friendly night desk personnel during my visit. Complimentary breakfast (though nothing spectacular) Bad: ultra slow elevator, tiny toilet , a/c not working well, light switch doesn't work at times, super... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my parter from 31st July. The hotel is very close to termani which is useful and there is a direct train to airport. Rome also offers a number of open top buses which stops at all the main sights, which also stops very close to hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy. The... More

My hotel room was a little smaller than I expected but, it was still nice and comfy. I had trouble opening the mini-fridge door it was positioned near the corner, by the foot of the bed. I liked the restroom it was quite spacious, much larger than the standard hotel restroom. Hotel Villafranca is located not too far from a... More

Location wise, this was probably spot on for lots of places to walk nearby and take a local taxi for places a bit of a walking distance. Breakfast was spread out for non-vegetarians. I'm vegetarian but even then never felt hungry as I stocked up on toast, cereals and pasteries! Rooms were really decent and comfortable. Very clean. And plenty... More
