It was nice to see that our room request was granted when we arrived. We were in room 611 which had a balcony as big as the room itself. The room had a full marble bath (which was very cool) fabric covered walls, and a small fridge. There are several restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel and a... More

A friend and I stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel. It was nice, well located and a good value. The breakfast buffet was great. You had a really good choice and everything was plentiful. The room was a little small, but the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine. It was a pleasant surprise to... More

Good value for the price in Rome. Clean and close enough of a walk from the Terminal that we were able to drag our luggage to the hotel. Room was clean and and well stocked with towels and toiletries. Upon request a electric pot was provided with a great selection of tea and coffee for the room. Room itself was... More

Saw mixed reviews on this hotel prior to our Gate 1 stay this week. We were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the beds are a little firm, but the room was nicely sized, adequate space, pillows, bedding and bath space. Actually a much larger bathroom than our last 2 hotels in Italy. The breakfast was fine. Hubbie hated the hot dogs served... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Arrived before room was ready but staff helpful and let us check in and leave our luggage so we could start our sight seeing. Receptionist gave us a map and explained where the metro was and how to get to the termini. Only a few minutes walk from the termini and plenty of places to... More

Location is 2minutes walkable distance from Rome Train station "Termini". Price is also reasonable. and for the price the breakfast what they are offering is very good. Some staff at reception are good and some are very bad, keeping their face without any feelings, not helpful.

It's a decent hotel across from a fabulous restaurant, the 3 Archi. Had soaps, shower caps. Bed was a bit hard, but after a long day, I didn't much care. Decent breakfast. Nice staff. Just consider the following: no drawers, no shelves in closet. No bath cloths, even when we asked. No coffee service in the room. I've travelled in... More

Although the rooms are clean, the staff that works at this hotel is atrocious. Very unhelpful and almost resentful of your staying with them. I asked the front desk to break a fifty euro note for me and was told that I could only break it if a bought bus tickets. The breakfast in the morning is like a Chinese... More

Pros: Room is clean. First time for me to see two toilet bowls (you can figure it out why they have two). Restaurants nearby. 5 mins walk to Termini train station. Free breakfast. Big lobby. Free Wi-Fi. Cons: As a first-timer in Rome, this hotel is so hard to find so I suggest that you use the taxi from the... More

Clean nice hotel. My only complaint is the bathroom layout! The tub had no grab bar and the glass door did not fit tight to tub and leaked when you took a shower. There is less than 1 foot between the Toilet and Bidet to get into tub, Other than bath, room is nice and like most hotels in Europe... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
