A lovely little hotel not far from Termini. Has a metro at the end of the street so transport links are not a problem at all. Awesome location and a good price considering. Was having some work done when we were there but didn't bother us at all. The work started at a reasonable hour and didn't continue late. Staff... More

But do not expect a great breakfast. It is very clean and well located, but the rooms smell like an old house and the single one is too small. Also, they charged me at the beginning, what was not polite.

The location is good, 5 mins from the railway station and near the Basilica Santa Maria; Quiet clean and Italian traditional decoration. Breakfast is so nice and it's in an adorable bar in the hotel. ;)

We booked this hotel when actually in Rome having found our original hotel closed when we arrived. There was no mention of its refurbishment in the web page on Booking.com. Found out when we arrived. This did not pose much of an inconvenience, just a shock. Hotel, room and w/c were clean. The room was definitely in need of a... More

Stayed at this hotel in July 2015 with friends. First impression was that it is dated and in need of a refurbishment. However once we got to the rooms they were clean and very large, we did not expect this in an inner city hotel. Breakfast was okay, nothing that is worth a comment but there was something for everybody... More

Me and my family visited Rome in the beggining of October, we stayed 5 nights in this hotel. We didn't have any problems with the check-in time, because we arrived at 22:00h. The first thing I didn't like there, was the smell. Maybe it's kind of normal, the building seems to be very old. The interior is decided in something... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
