I left my scarf at The room and they did not give it back to me , the cleaners took it and said we did not find it, they are unreliable. No wi fi at The rooms and restaurant , only at The lobby. Breakfast was okay, but people cleaning Your rooms are not trustworthy

Absolutely terrible!!! Don't even bother booking this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else. From hotel rooms to staff memebers, everything was nasty about this place. Never ever going back to D'Este Hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel d'este in Rome, Italy. It was most importantly, centrally located, close to all. The rooms were clean and bedding and towels were changed daily. The breakfast was very decent for a continental type. A nice patio to sit out on for breakfast if you so chose. We also enjoyed sitting on the... More

Read many reviews before selecting this hotel. Many of them downright nasty. Our stay there was a great experience. Yes, the building is old, but very charming. And the furniture? Many pieces are antiques from another era, giving the place a little class. A step back in time. Check out that elevator. What a scream!.....The location is excellent. Many shops... More

We only stayed at the hotel for a few hours and we left very early for the airport,so we didn't have breakfast. The room itself was not bad,but some students who were staying at the same time were roaming the corridors and knocking on doors in the middle of the night. The moment they first arrived at the hotel (1... More

I stated here on a trip to Rome with a friend. It was my first time in the city, and I completely fell in love with the Italian culture and people, with this hotel being very much part of my Roman experience. The hotel is small (less than 50 rooms) and quiet; it appeared to be used a lot by... More

Walking distance to most of the major attractions in Rome & importantly, only a couple of blocks from the Central railway station, this is well worth considering on location alone. This is marketed on some sites as 3 star & according to one, is similar to Best Western, Accor & other well known chains- Although ok, it is not even... More

Nice location only 15 min walk to collosseum and to the trevi fountain. 10 walk to termini. Very pleasant staff. Room was clean but furniture is quite old. The view is great and the breakfast wasnt that good. Just coffee and some bread. Not what i was expecting for breakfast but other than that i enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is quite nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was nice and the breakfast was rich and full of choice. Unfortunately the room had no air conditioning and no wifi, wifi in the lobby only... But the position is perfect!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
