The hotel that we had a reservation for had some troube with heating, so they transfered us to Hotel Genio. We were very pleased with the accomodation, since it was much better than we expected. Perfect location, just around the corner of Piazza Navona, clean, good food and also very friendly staff. Hopefully, I will come back to Rome someday,... More

I have stayed in several hotels in Rome and this hotel is a decent place but very old and worn. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean. The air conditioning does not work very well. The hotel is in a good location, close to many area attractions.I would not stay at this hotel if you are looking for good bargain.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff is very helpful and professional. The breakfast was very nice as well. You can walk just about anywhere and the neighborhood is so beautiful. There are wonderful places to eat & shop around every corner and would suggest you walk around and explore, but it is very close to the... More

Great location and plenty options to eat at, would have given it a higher score but room walls are paper thin, TV and crying babies heard at all hours. Breakfast adequate mainly meats and cheeses. But the location was worth it, 2 min walk to Piazza Navona and 15 min to Vatican. Tip when walking along the Tiber near the... More

This hotel is really well situated for visiting Rome. It is very close to Piazza Navona where there are lots of restaurants and entertainment, together with street sellers of art and other items i.e. jewellery. It is also in reasonable walking distance from the Vatican, the Pantheon, the Trevi fountain and other areas of interest (well we walked to all... More

The hotel is in a great location, all major attractions very accessible by foot or public transport, our room, 410, was very small and badly needed redecorating the shower was pathetic! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful....don't think it is really 4 star but a good place to stay if you are sightseeing....

After an early morning rise at 3a.m. and an hour's delay awaiting baggage delivery on the carousel we arrived at Hotel Genio to find that we were overbooked with 3 other people. The gentleman at the Desk was most arrogant and suggested we move to another hotel at Piazza Venezia and return to Hotel Genio the following morning whereupon he... More
