Good value for price, room small but clean a little dated but it added to its charm. Reception staff very helpful and friendly, bar was not open but they had no problem bringing your own drink up to the roof top terrace. Plenty of breakfast to choose from. I would stay here again. Air conditioning was good.

The location of the hotel is good for access to most major tourist attractions as long as you don't mind doing some walking. The hotel itself however is rundown and could use some upgrades. The walls are paper thin, that is VERY thin, we could hear people's conversations from the room across the hall as if they were standing immediately... More

Dear travelpr02, we are sorry that the sound proof was not enough for you to sleep well. We provide 2 towels per person everyday and shampoo, bath foam and soap for every person in the room. We will do our best to check why weren't those items provided. We will do all we can to improve the service and we... More

We were pleasantly surprised! Room was large with our own private terrace. Huge bathroom and well cleaned. Great breakfast choices and close to all the sights. Excellent location!! We walked everywhere and only took the buds to the colleseum but was easy to walk back. Close to pantheon, bridges on Tiber river and piazza navoana.

Our stay at the Genio was absolutely perfect! Joe (and the rest of the staff) was incredibly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay in Rome just perfect. The room was perfectly cleaned and very comfortable. The breakfast set up each morning offered enough to fill you up for the day. But the thing... More

It was an absolutely fabulous experience to stay at the Genio! This is a quintessentially Roman hotel. Your entire stay is like being looked after by a family member. The service is personal and impeccable. The breakfast set you up for the entire day... so no lunch is required and the rooms are spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable. But the... More

My wife and i stayed here near end of july for 4 days for her birthday. We had a room on 3rd floor at the front which had a wonderful little balcony. The room was a very good size with a big bathroom , and it was spotlessly clean. The staff all spoke very good fluent English and the reception... More

I can't tell you what the rooms are like, or what the area is like, which is why we specifically booked this hotel. We got to hotel genio after a long flight and the blazè man gets my name, shows us where we are on a map and casually tells us that we don't have a room there because their... More

Dear MissCoordinate, we apologize for the overbooking issue, in this case we did tell to the agent to close the dates but you are right, this is unacceptable anyway especially for the honey moon. We confirm this happens only in extraordinary situations, usually we accomodate our guests at the hotel where they booked. More

We visited Rome for 4 days for my wife's birthday. The hotel was fine and 3 stars is a fair representation of it's quality. The plus points were the closeness to the main tourist spots (we walked to the Colosseum, Vatican and Pantheon easily), the beautiful roof terrace and the extensive breakfast. We were also very close to the Piazza... More

The location was great but everything else was poor. The bed is a glorified cot and the rooms are incredibly small. There was barely enough room for us and out luggage. The A/C also does not work very well. We were sweltering at night. If you are looking for just a bed this is a good cheap option.

Dear Ryan O, thanks for your review, we are sorry that we didn't entirely fulfill your expectations and that unlike other guests the air conditioning was not enough to make you sleep well.
