We stayed in the hotel for one night to transit. Located 1 block from termini and a 40 minute walk from the coliseum, it has not much too offer. Wifi is only good in the lobby and the hotel corridors. The hotel needs a new paint job. Fortunately, we were 4 and our family room toilet would not flush because they... More

We were so excited to spend our last night in Rome in this fancy 4 star hotel. Boy... were we disappointed. As we struggled to get in the door and up the stairs with our heavy bags, stroller and 6 month old baby, I was not helped as you would be in most hotels Ive ever stayed at. Instead they... More

We stayed there for 4 nights in June 2015. The location is 2 minutes walk from the Termini central station and probably 20 minutes walk from the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps, and 15-20 to the Colosseum (different sides of the central city) so a good location. The hotel itself is in good condition and is clean, but the rooms... More

Stayed here recently during a trip through Europe. When we arrived outside the hotel I was in shock, I was scared to get out of the taxi! It is a very old building in a dingy part of Rome and the room (which we were told was the deluxe room) was the size of the bed and no more, we... More

Rooms are clean and tidy.. if furnished in the 60's. Breakfast a little ordinary orange cordial instead of orange juice, no eggs or bacon not much choice some rolls and cereal, staff in dinning area a little rude when we sat on the end of a table for six the guy organising the breakfast told us next time to sit... The Kennedy hotel is located near to the Termini central train station. This is a good place to catch the tour busses to go sightseeing in Rome, and all local busses. It is also well located if you want to walk to the numerous places to visit. The hotel was clean and the rooms good for a 3 star hotel.... More

This was our second time staying at The Kennedy Hotel and the reasons are obvious. Although this is not a five-star hotel, it’s very nice, clean and the staff is friendly. The big selling point for us is it’s located just one block from Termini station, so it’s easy to catch a train to visit other cities, to head to... More

We received our room at 11:30 already. Nice and friendly staff. Nice room, small bathroom, the bed was quite hard to sleep on Breakfast was sober but sufficient: everything was refilled. Negative points: only cheese (and jam & chocolate) as spread and no fresh fruit only canned. Great location: only few steps away from the train station and metro. We... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
