This hotel is perfectly situated on Via Veneto. From our arrival looking rather haggard, we were welcomed with a coffee, that never tasted so good. Staff are helpful and friendly, the bed is divine, I can't recommend the whole experience highly enough. Well situated for all attractions, and walking to most of them.

The location - great. Food - excellent. Rooms - not that big, the bathroom is bad - very old, no ventilation, weird stationary shower. Personal - helpful and kind. Good in general but not excellent. Not coming back.

The rooms in the hotel are fine, the 3 meter ceiling makes the room look bigger. The bed is also fine, a little bit hard, but it is fine. The breakfast is also very well. Despite having little variety of food, the quality makes up for that. The hotel is also very well-located, just some steps away from Piazza Barberini.... More

My wife and myself stayed here for 3 nights on our way home from a Mediterranean cruise. This is a magnificent building in good condition and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lift is archaic, but that is part of the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is possibly the best I have ever been to. Two consecutive WiFi connections worked... More

Beautiful and elegant place to stay. Our room was very quiet (even though it faced Via Veneto), immaculately clean and was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large, with every surface done in marble. The concierge/front desk staff were all extremely friendly and very professional. Housekeepers were friendly and cheerful, providing excellent service. The location... More

This is a very nice, clean, older hotel that I would definitely stay at again. It is fairly close to the Spanish Steps--maybe a 10 minute walk. And from there, you can get just about everywhere. The staff, for the most part, was extraordinarily friendly. The rooms were clean, and the hotel very well maintained.

On a recent trip to Rome to celebrate my wife's Birthday, we decided to stay at this sublime establishment. Arriving at the Fiumicino Airport we caught a train to Roma Termini (approximately 40min),and planned on using the metro to the hotel however due to strikes by the metro drivers we walked to the hotel with our luggage which was 20mins... The Hotel is great value for a 5* hotel. The building is old but well kept and has a nice charm to it. Didn't have breakfast or eat in the restaurant so can't comment on those. The location is great - walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and Vatican. There are many restaurants outside and the... More

We stayed two different nights at this beautiful old hotel on Via Veneto. The public spaces are carefully preserved to showcase the historic era when the hotel first opened while the guest rooms are updated to be elegant but with all modern conveniences. High ceilings, windows on Via Veneto, the most attentive staff, special touches make this a lovely experience.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
