I chose this hotel based on location and then confirmed it by reading reviews on here. It is very easy to get bogged down in the very few negative reviews of the hotel but I made my decision. It couldn't have been a better one, from the time we arrived we were made to feel welcome, valued and special. The... More

We spent four excellent nights at the Hotel Majestic. The staff is outstanding. They upgraded us to a Jr. Suite which was spacious and enabled us to add a third bed without feeling cramped. The hotel is shaped like a giant grand piano and we stayed in Room 28 at the end which had a lot of windows, a sitting... More

Arriving after several days in problematic accommodations in Naples, the Hotel Majestic was a godsend! My only regret is that I didn't stay longer in this elegant late 19th century hostlelry. My room was beautiful and included a "welcome package" consisting of fresh fruit and Italian champagne. The breakfast buffet was first rate and included smoked fish. Dinner in the... More

Central location and an elegant older hotel. Impressive antique elevator. Escorted to room and introduced to the room. Large, clean rooms with safe. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Romantic old bar. Terrance tables off the bar. Overall a quality property.

I stayed here for a weekend trip to Rome on a B&B basis. The hotel has an old worldly feel to it and is decorated accordingly. Our room was spacious & comfortable. It had a balcony on the 5th floor over looking the street. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff were always so helpful and attentive. All the... More

Despite the great location, it was not worth staying here. was very close to moving out if i had not been at the hotel so little. Smoke detector on ceiling strobed meaning one needs to wear an eye mask (and when i checked, they said this was normal..), the bathroom fan stayed on 24 hours; sewage smells were common in... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Majestic in June 2014. The room itself was clean, very comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. Its location is excellent, being centrally located and within walking distance of many major attractions. Use caution when utilizing the concierge service, as when we expressed interested in going on a guided tour, they offered for us to schedule... More

A luxurious hotel with outstanding service in central Rome. Landmarks are within walking distance and the concierge is helpful for tourists. Restaurant is elegant and dishes are of high quality. However, the rooms are comparatively too small (22 square meter or less), and room temperature is not adjustable (too hot in winter).

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
