I stayed here with my husband from the 16th to the 21st of November. We had a lovely corner room on the fifth floor with a beautiful garden view. The decor of the hotel is old world; preserved, restored and renovated in that order. The bathroom, although elegant, was not modern. Breakfast was superb and the hotel is extremely well... More

Surely one of the best in Rome, even considering the prices. Traditional decor, beautiful lounges, restaurant and terrace. Rooms even more classic, if possible, with marble bathroom. Location is excellent. Could be excellent if the rooms were more soundproof: if you're facing the street, you're up for ear plugs...

A beautiful old building in the heart of Rome Large clean rooms with all one expects for 5 stars A small bar with a happy barman always wanting to concoct some new cocktail delight The restaurant suprisingly is not open on a Sunday?

The hotel is located at the bottom of the Via Veneto, which is more central than the top but not as prestigious. It is also very convenient to taxis and the subway. The entrance is a bit drab and could stand some cheering up, plus there are too many stairs before you get to the elevator. The room was nice... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite which had a lovely balcony. Concierge service was excellent with all concierge staff being very helpful and friendly and gave us very good restaurant recommendations (we wanted Roman and untouristy) made the bookings and overall made our stay most enjoyable. Hotel is in an excellent postion for seeing the sights and... More

Stayed here a few years back, and my business partner (we own a travel agency), has recently stayed here. It is, without a doubt, one of the best hotels I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. The location is wonderful, the staff helpful and friendly...nothing bad I can say about it. When in Rome.....treat yourself to this delightful experience.

What a wonderful place. It makes you feel special, just walking in the lobby. Elegant yet comfortable. Stylish yet approachable and engaging. From the décor to the comfort, to the impeccable service, what's not to enjoy. This is one of my favorite places in the world to stay. The Majestic truly conjures some of my fondest memories of Rome --... More

We stayed here mid-October for just one night but because of where the property is located we were able to walk to many attractions. Our only complaint was we felt like the front desk staff was not very sensitive to our requests.

Good location, pleasant rooms and bathrooms, very helpful staff. 5 mins walk to top of Spanish Steps. Breakfast in cafes nearby range from 10 to 16 euros. Most of the attractions have long queues which can be missed if you use a guide.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2014

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel in early november. It is well situated in the center of the city, with walking distance to the spanish stair and fontana di trevi. The rooms have a luxurious feel to them which was very appreciated by my girlfriend. The staff was very friendly and professional, having a late drink on the terrace... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
