Prior to joining our Tauck Tour, we stayed in Rome at the Majestic Roma for 3 nights. We booked a deluxe king bedroom and asked for a 4th-storey room overlooking the Church/ Convent. The hotel has been well known for 126 years and has retained it's old-world charm. The reception area is small and is several steps from the front entrance.... More

The Hotel Majestic provided a perfect beginning to our vacation in Rome and Tuscany. Its understated luxury welcomed us after a long flight. The views, beds, bath amenities, buffet breakfasts were simply perfect. The hotel has 5 floors; we stayed on 3. The room was close to the old fashioned elevator so I worried about the noise -- there really... More

I'm really glad that I chose Majestic for my last night's stay in Rome - what a charming boutique! This property is located right in the middle of everything (Via Veneto). Walking distance to Spanish steps (it became one of my fav spots in Rome) and some other main attractions including Villa Borghese & Garden (I had an extremely refreshing... More

I arrived at this stately hotel located on Via Veneto, across from the U.S. embassy, in no mood to enjoy its bronze elevator and filigreed molding, rooms with old fashioned Rome style real keys with a string fringe that you turn into the concierge rather than keep with you when you go out. Turkish Airlines had lost my luggage, and... More

This is a very elegant hotel with old fashioned charm. The room key is an actual key, not a card, that is left at the lobby counter when leaving the room. Our room was spacious with two large windows that faced a quiet back street. It's located about a mile from the train station and we had no problem walking... More

Great central location - close to the station and walking distance from many sight seeing places. Great breakfast on outdoor patio and our room was very well furnished almost looking majestic. The size of the room was bit small but it was very airy and bright . great hotel to stay in Rome - value for money..

We spent 4 nights here. 1st I will say they have an amazing staff from check in to concierge and everything in between - service service service! This is a Leading Hotel Group hotel, so this has come to be expected with them now! The room in all honesty was just ok a bit smaller than excpected (we had an... More

Our son has just breturned form a four night stay at this hotel and described it as sumptuous! He was in room 220 which he said was "totally stunning, beautifully decorated/furnished and very, very clean." The staff were first class and went out of their way to give guests a memorable stay. He told us we MUST MUST MUST stay... More

The hotel is located on the posh and beautiful via Veneto, just a 5 min walk to Spanish steps and borghese park, very safe and convenient. From the moment we arrived the front staff was a bit rude and stand off, I had sent two emails to the hotel requesting a baby crib, early check in (by 1 hour) and... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
