This was my second hotel as part of a package tour with Thomas Cook in Farnborough, Hampshire. Their brief was that my 16 year old daughter wanted 'culture' instead of a beach or pool. So we first ended up in the Hotel Galileo in Florence (excellent!) and then took the train from Florence to Rome and then a taxi to... More

We stayed in the hotel from July 22nd till July 25th. It was great!!! We checked in on 2:00 am and even thought the late hour the staff was lovely and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. we got everything we needed. The location is a bit far from the city center but we took taxis that didn't cost much -... More

Everything I needed in an economy hotel. The rooms are small but who is staying in the hotel room when you are in Rome! Great location as it is very close to the metro and walking distance from the coliseum. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Small, friendly hotel. Close to Termini train station. Good location to get all around town and the out-of-town day trips we took. The roof top breakfast room is very nice. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Good location, clean and neat. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful, suggesting areas to visit and restaurants to eat at. They organised us transport to and from the airport at the same rate as the train service. Breakfast atmosphere was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, we had to move our seating indoors and this was... More

The hotel is in a good location. The bathroom shower is extremely small, but water temperature and pressure is great. The twin beds are small but comfortable. The hotel is very clean and breakfast free with meats, crossiants, pastries, coffee, and juice.

This is a wonderful property situated at walking distance from Termini. Metro, Tram and Bus stops were also closeby. The Area is very safe at night. We were out at 11 PM and there were no problems. Wifi and Breakfast are free.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
