Let me just say up front that we had three in the room - King Size bed with a roll away. However, we must have got the smallest room that they had because there was really no space for anything except sleeping. The beds were fine, not uncomfortable, but the AC was really hit and miss. Antonio was extraordinarily kind... More

We stayed with my and my wifes whole family and everything was great. We talked with lots of Hotels and they told us same prices with best western art deco. But breakfast, clean rooms, and hospitality of personnel makes this hotel better than others.

The pros of this hotel are the helpful staff, convenient location to both Metro lines and Termini train station, a good breakfast and clean rooms. The cons are terrible Wi-Fi connections, particularly in the rooms, and the hotel is getting a little threadbare. The rooms are also very small when a cot is added. But generally, we had a very... We stayed at this hotel after reading many favourable reviews. It is located near the Roma Termini which gives you access to the main attraction through the subway. The area itself is quite quiet, near embassies. You can enjoy a quiet night of sleep. We read the breakfast was amazing... it was not. No variety, food was bland and on... More

The highlights: Great staff, wonderful breakfast, cute rooms with modern bathrooms. Also the neighborhood was great - next to all of the embassies, so guards on the streets! The downsides - funky elevators, we were on 5th floor, main elevator only went to 4th, had to take a single person lift to 5 or take the steps. Wi-Fi was a... More

The hotel is located 10 min. walking distance from the train station (Termini), which I believe is the best option to stay as an average tourist in Rome. There are plenty of small but good restaurants and convenience stores for a forgotten item or simply water. The staff has a good attitude of service, which I learned is a plus... More

The Artdeco is located on a fairly quiet street in an area of government buildings and other hotels, a short 12 Euro cab ride ( or 15 min. walk ) from Termini station. The interior and rooms are nicely decorated in a 1920's french style, and kept very clean. Breakfast is excellent, with your choice of coffee served up fresh... More

This is a strange hotel good decor clean everything as you would expect, but devoid of character? The staff are helpful but somehow it is missing something? We went for an evening meal at the internal restaurant again no character. Very little English spoken by the staff which caused confusion when our original choice of dish was no longer available.... Went for a girls weekend in Rome. The staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast was fabulous and could not fault the housekeeping at all. The hotel is well located, within walking distance to most places of interest and lovely cafes and bars all within walking distance. The Metro line and Taxis are all about a 5 minute walk.

We stayed in Rome for several nights and truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were large, had great bathrooms, and lots of space to keep our bags and gear - all of which are hard to find in city hotels in Europe. It was a bit of a walk to attractions, but a very safe neighborhood and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
