From the start of the "short" walk from Termini (the directions need to be rewritten, this was a let down from the expectations created from the website description. The staff was a bit chilly, the room air conditioning inefficient on two hot Rome days and the internet access was a frustrating disaster with little help from staff other than a... More

I stayed here twice- once March 2015 for leisure and in May 2015 for business. The hotel has an excellent breakfast, small but very clean rooms and is generally a good choice considering its location in Rome. The biggest concern is the internet, which is terrible. My first stay was a holiday and I was told that they were experiencing... More

Good value all round, the art deco is well maintained, staff responsive and cheerfull, breakfast was substantial and well stocked for the late risers. We had a corner room which was lean light and roomy, being in the Embassy region traffic was bearabke especially on the 4th floor. The restaurant is also worth a visit, also good value, with more... Ideally located in the quiet embassy region ideal to reach central Rome on foot or by metro. Quiet neighbourhood at night so you get a good night's sleep Plenty of non touristy restaurants for good Italian food

Nice and comfortable stay. Located one stop away from termini. Bit of a 3-4 min walk from the nearest bus or metro stop. The area is quiet and dark however there are foriegn embassies in the neighbourhood, therefore the area is heavily guarded by military. Hotel is nice, rooms are well decorated, friendly receptionists, good breakfast. However no tea coffee... More

We found the Best Western Artdeco to be comfortable, clean and in a great location. It was just what we wanted for a very reasonable price. It was an interesting hotel since it had been a home in the past. Artdeco is only a few blocks from the train terminal and walking distance to many attractions. They have a good breakfast... More

Nice, quiet hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast, newspapers in the morning. Close to the train station without being too close. Emphasis on quiet (which is a good thing). Art Deco interior was charming, though combined with the aforementioned quietness of the hotel, I was sometimes afraid of turning the corner and getting an invitation to play from the twins in "The... Stayed here with my mother for 4 nights from March 31st and had a wonderful time. We stayed in room 208 which is a double aspect room (two lovely big windows) with two single beds. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped and we found that the staff were absolutely great with dealing with our requests for tea making... More

We stayed in this hotel in Rome last week. The room was well decorated and clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is close to the major train station and there are restaurants nearby. I would recommend this hotel to stay while in the East part of Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
