We stayed in this hotel in Rome last week. The room was well decorated and clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is close to the major train station and there are restaurants nearby. I would recommend this hotel to stay while in the East part of Rome.

Stayed here for one night in February 2015. The hotel is decorated beautifully in art deco style, with antique furnishing in the lobby and staircase. My room was tiny and cramped, but since I was traveling for business I didn't find it too much of an inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was mostly cold food but was very good quality and... More

This place is well prices based on the location it is in. The services are reasonable. Breakfast is typical italian and though rooms are a little, they are well maintained. This place is 5 min to the nearest subway that connects to Colosseum, spanish stairs and other major attractions.

After two failed hotel.com bookings, we found this close to where we were running from a nightmare (hotel Virginia). We were relieved when we saw this place on the corner. Great prices (120 euro per night for three!) The room had a private courtyard, a bathtub with jets - the wifi worked fine with free breakfast. We found free parking... More

I stayed for 3 days for a quick business visit to Room the hotel is just fine, there is a nearby small supermarket, it's a walking distance from Termini and staff are very friendly however breakfast quality requires significant improvement, Internet was very weak and could not make any Skype call, finally my room was on the first floor I... Room- quite small, with high ceiling. Clean and decorated well, but can be noisy as the room we stayed was right above the hotel entrance. Bathroom - Very small and water in the sink flows very slowly around the sink push-plug, almost like being blocked. Tiles looks like were put in place by monkey - not a 4 star standard.... More

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel plenty of places to eat in the area and not to far from the station. We walked everywhere during are stay and always stubbled across something new we hadn't seen. Area felt save and comfortable to walk round aswell. Only downside was our room was next to a linen cupboard which could be noisy... More

Yes, it is dated but what in Rome proper isn't? We knew we were early to check-in, they took our information and let us leave our luggage while we explored. Felt so safe walking around because of the Embassy's in the vicinity. There were the visible military on some corners, but you just knew the cameras were everywhere. The elevator... More

Very well located just 5min from a metro station. The neighborhood has many embassies so security is not an issue at all!!! Lot's of good budget restaurants very close. The rooms have a unique decoration! Space in the room is adequate to comfortable. Breakfast was OK but after 3 days a bit boring. Some more types of cheese and bread... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
