Myself and 2 friends stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in June 2014 to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is a little bit dated but spotlessly clean with some nice art deco touches. The room was a decent size with comfortable beds, a spacious and well stocked bathroom and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool without... More

We chose this Hotel as it was close to the Main Train Station and near the parts of Rome that we had not visited before. It is of lovely art deco style inh excellent condition. The staff were friendly, spoke English very well and were most helpful in helping us get oriented in the area. The brekfast was abuffet with... More

Away from the crowds and close to Termini station, in a quiet back street near a number of international embassies. Hotel is clean and servicable, if you don't mind walking a little to reach the major sites. Closest to places like the Partheon and Trevi Fountain. Breakfast was below average but if all you need is some quick and cheap... More

Our hotel had an excellent location close to subway lines and Termini. The breakfast offered a ton of variety! There were pastries, eggs, juices, water, meats, cheeses and more. Very delicious and the staff was great. When we left, we got a cab because we left so early in the morning the trains were not running. The hotel got one... More

My husband and I have just returned from our first trip to Rome and had fortunately selected this hotel after reading feedback from other trip advisors, we were not disappointed. From the warm welcome we received at the reception desk on arrival right throughout our stay we were well treated by all staff. Our room on the 5th floor was... More

The weather that weekend was fluctuating between hot humid days and cool nights. The rooms all were set to only have hot air pumped into them. Even though the room description said that each room was individually controlled. It was hot to say the least in my room and the porter was even red and sweating when he came to... More

Lovely hotel and amaxing deco room. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. 5 minute walk to Termini and 25 to the Colosseum. Breakfast was relaxed and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel and would visit again.

We stayed here for 7 days. Great location and great breakfast. There were 3 people in our party and were assigned room 202 which was rather small. We asked to be moved and were out in room 140 with no problem. I would stay here again.

We spent three nights at this hotel and were very impressed. It's an ideal location for Rome, 10 minutes walk from the Termini, about 30 minutes walk to the Forum and Colosseum, and about an hours walk from the Vatican. There are plenty of restaurants and bars very close to the restaurant, and just far enough from the tourist trail... More

Excellent value for money, accessible to transport system and all major sites. Great breakfast. The staff were very helpful with travel advice. The wifi access worked well and a tea tray was available at no extra charge, most unusual.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
