I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. The location is superb - on a lovely street between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. An added bonus is the excellent rooftop breakfast room/bar. We watched a thunderstorm over Rome one evening when we were there and it was simply magical. It is a little pricey but I think it's worth paying... More

Stayed in the Cesari for 4 days at the end of January 2012.This hotel is situated in a short pedestrian street just off the Via del Corso. Despite this it is wonderfully quiet at night. You can walk to the Pantheon in 5 minutes, the Piazza Navona in 10 minutes, and the Colosseum in 20. This is a superb location.... More

We stayed at Albergo Cesari in January 2012 and had 2 rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean if a bit dated - but if you consider it has been a hotel since 1787 this should be expected! The location was excellent and within walking distance of almost everything you go to Rome to see. The rooftop bar and breakfast facilities... More

My wife and I stayed at the Albergo Cesari in May 2011 and absolutely enjoyed our stay including the wonderful location, cleanliness, staff and, of course, breakfast every morning on the rooftop which also served as a great place to enjoy views of Rome and an evening drink or two either before or after dinner. Our goal on this second... More

This is a basic hotel with dated decor, that is clean and has an absolutely fabulous location. The staff is outstanding and incredibly helpful. Jan, Tomasso and Camillio deserve to be mentioned due to their outstanding service. There is a patio with heaters on the roof that our group utilized every night, even though it was December. The street that... More

We spent three nights in the hotel and were amazed how quiet it was, although on a bustling alleyway. Windows were double glazed. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop terrace. It was great being able to set off for our sight seeing straight into the squares and lanes surrounding the Pantheon or turn down the Via del Corso and head... More

We stayed for five days last week, and were satisfied with our stay. Bernardo and Tommaso were extremely professional and helpful, and they absolutely make the hotel outstanding! The first day we arrived the hotel at 9 in the morning, and Bernardo invited us to have the breakfast first while waiting the room to be cleaned. His warm and greeting... More

This was the last hotel we stayed in during our 5 week trip, and it was probably the worst. However, this is not to say it is a bad hotel - it isn't. It is very old, a little bit old-fashioned, and the rooms are on the small side, but they are perfectly clean. The beds are very hard, as... More

From moment of check-in at 10am, when sweet Bernardo at the front desk saw how tired I was and distressed from the awful cab ride from the airport, and he said in impeccable English, "let's get you to your room straight away so you can rest!", I knew I was home. From the delicious creamy cappuccino at breakfast in the... More

The location of this hotel is good-within walking distance of trevi fountain, spanish steps, shops, the coliseum, the Parthenon, etc. Our room and the lobby/halls were were a bit dark, dingy and out of date, but beds were clean and overall, the stay was adequate. Price was fair. There is a bar/restaurant on the top floor that is very good.... More
