I can only add to other reviews by confirming that, yes, the location is amazing (walking distance to everywhere) and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is also true that the rooms are slightly dated, especially the bathrooms, but everything worked fine and the beds were excellent, which is basically the most important aspect of any hotel room... It was our second trip to Rome. After 15 years we wanted to visit the city again with our son. I read a lot of hotel reviews, and after some nights I choose this hotel. It was the best decision!. I reserved through the hotel's website. They confirmed in some minute, we did not had to pay in advance at... More

We first stayed at the Cesari 10 years ago and loved the location. Then 4 years ago we visited Rome but stayed somewhere else, and although the hotel had more stars, it could not compare to the Cesari for location and character. So when we decided to visit Rome again there was no question where we were going to stay.... More

Fantastic hotel. Prime location. Pantheon and Trevi fountain within a couple of minutes walk. Restaurants and cafes on the doorstep. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Room was very spacious and clean. Highly recommended this hotel. Will definitely be staying here when we return to Rome, we loved it.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. The location is perfect for walking to the majority of the sights. Hotel itself is comfortably furnished, rooms have traditional decor with private bathrooms, tea making facilities TV and free wi-if. There is a delightful roof terrace with a bar which offers wonderful views over Piazza... More

Friends recommended Albergo Cesari particularly because of location and breakfast on the roof terrace and we agree - our hotel room was comfortable and the helpful, friendly staff were always available to assist with any requests. The breakfast rooftop location and the varieties of food offered, were outstanding. The hotel arranged a car to take us to the airport. Thank... More

We had a group of 6 so we reserved a quad and double. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but a bit plain. Bathroom in quad was nice size. With windows open it can be a bit noisy given the busy location. It opened to an alley, so room was dark most of the time. With so much within walking distance,... More

I recently stayed here for three nights and couldn't have been happier. As the other reviewers said, the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They arranged transportation to and from the airport, as well as, called a cab if needed. Food recommendations were spot on. The upstairs breakfast room is beautiful. The variety of food for breakfast was excellent. The... More

We enjoyed our stay in a family room. No frills but excellent beds, very helpful staff and clean and comfortable facilities. The reception staff gave full guidance on great places to eat nearby, travel tips and booked our cabs for us. We would definitely return if back in Rome.

Quite simply, a lovely hotel. Excellent location, lovely rooms, superb staff and a stunning breakfast venue/roof terrace. Reasonably priced, to include a very well stocked breakfast buffet, but with plenty of old world charm. Brilliant. We will never stay anywhere else now when visiting Rome.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
