Friends recommended Albergo Cesari particularly because of location and breakfast on the roof terrace and we agree - our hotel room was comfortable and the helpful, friendly staff were always available to assist with any requests. The breakfast rooftop location and the varieties of food offered, were outstanding. The hotel arranged a car to take us to the airport. Thank... More

We had a group of 6 so we reserved a quad and double. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but a bit plain. Bathroom in quad was nice size. With windows open it can be a bit noisy given the busy location. It opened to an alley, so room was dark most of the time. With so much within walking distance,... More

I recently stayed here for three nights and couldn't have been happier. As the other reviewers said, the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They arranged transportation to and from the airport, as well as, called a cab if needed. Food recommendations were spot on. The upstairs breakfast room is beautiful. The variety of food for breakfast was excellent. The... More

We enjoyed our stay in a family room. No frills but excellent beds, very helpful staff and clean and comfortable facilities. The reception staff gave full guidance on great places to eat nearby, travel tips and booked our cabs for us. We would definitely return if back in Rome.

Quite simply, a lovely hotel. Excellent location, lovely rooms, superb staff and a stunning breakfast venue/roof terrace. Reasonably priced, to include a very well stocked breakfast buffet, but with plenty of old world charm. Brilliant. We will never stay anywhere else now when visiting Rome.

First time back to this hotel in 15 years and it didn't disappoint. Authentic old hotel, good value for money with very helpful staff who couldn't have been more welcoming - symptomatic of what you'd like to expect from a family run hotel. Breakfast is served on the top (5th) floor which leads out on to a roof terrace -... More

We stayed here either ends of a five day tour of Italy - seven days in total, in March. I was initially disappointed with our room even through it was large and clean, the bathroom was basic and poorly designed. On our second visit we upgraded to a better room and much better bathroom. The bathrooms need updating. The bedrooms... More

Albergo Cesari is a good value traditional hotel in the historical centre of Rome. Turn right and you are a five minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and five minutes from the Pantheon in the other direction. We travelled as an extended family group and booked four rooms which were located on the same floor as requested. We booked two... More

From the moment we arrived we realised we'd found a gem of a hotel. Tommasso on reception was exceptionally helpful, making us feel welcome, valued and a fantastic dispenser of advice on restaurants and what to order for fantastic food and value. We had a great corner toom with ideal facilities for a 4 day stay. Breakfast on the roof... More

My family of six visited between March 7-14 and had a wonderful stay. We also booked months in advance and received a great rate for our triple and quad rooms on the first floor of the hotel. The staff is superb! We used its car service roundtrip to the airport for a modest price and the drivers were timely and... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
