Stayed for three night at this great little hotel. The location is perfect, especially if you are visiting Rome for the first time. I walked everywhere I went; the Patheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps all within 10 minutes; National monument, Forum, Coliseum, Palatine, all within 20 minutes; Vatican took about 30 minutes. Plenty of places to eat and get that... More

We had a sensational visit to Italy for a week, prior to a business conference in Norway. 3 days in Rome stayed at Albergo Cesari. Location perfect. We walked to all the major sites, Pantheon, 150 metres away, Vatican 15 min walk, Colloseum 15 minutes, Trevi Fountain 400 Metres, Spanish steps 5 minute walk, Roman Forum 10 minutes. Staff at... My partner and I stayed here for five nights in February. This was our second time in Rome but our first at albergo cesari. We couldn't fault the hotel in any way- it's beautiful with extremely friendly staff and an amazing breakfast buffet! The location is second to none, we were within walking distance to everything, and I would wholeheartedly... More

First, the many positives: Albergo Cesari is located midway between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, basically walking distance to all the sights. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And breakfast on the 5th floor roof terrace amidst all the rooftops of the centro storico is a gorgeous way to start the day. Our room (40 bis) was comfortable,... More

This is my second time at Albergo Cesari. You can't beat the location of this hotel and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean, has an excellent comfortable bed, great A/C and no problems with the WIFI. The bathroom is basic and does have a small shower but was not problem for me. (For the ladies... More

Bus stops close by and walking distance to may of the sites. The roof top breakfast was a real treat with a lovely view of the city. We would definitely stay... More

We stayed 5 days at this hotel and it couldn't have been a better choice. Location is excellent for touring. Central to sites in all directions. Staff was very helpful, especially Tommaso. Room was a good size and clean, although getting a little dated. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and clean, but tile could use a... More

My wife and I just returned from 3 nights at the Albergo Cesari Hotel. We were totally happy with our selection. The location is great. Just a couple of minutes from the Pantheon and all of the nice pedestrian streets, restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The... More

Location: perfecto. Cleanliness: very good. Staff: friendly and helpful. Overall: a great pace for a 3 star experience and first timers in Rome. Most of the attractions are in a 20 min walking distance. Lots of great gelato places and restaurants around. Nice rooftop for a quiet drink late in the evening and a good breakfast offering in the morning.

This hotel is in a wonderful location between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Perfect for being able to walk around the many sights of Rome. Very authentic Italian in decor. A little tired in places but it has a wonderful roof terrace and the staff are great. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return here again.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
