We were staying for the 3 nights prior to our wedding in Tuscany. I used my Suite night upgrades which were confirmed a few days prior to arrival. The suite they had ready for us was wonderful and on arrival there was a trail of rose pedals shaped into a heart on the bed along with a chilled bottle of... More

We had never stayed at a St Regis and decided to really splurge while staying in Rome for four nights. To say it was disappointing is a understatement. The rooms were small and configured in such a way that you really couldn't see the tv. The gentleman who checked us in said he "spared us the street side of the... More

My husband and I stayed here August 2014 for our honeymoon. The hotel is situated close to many landmarks, the location was perfect. St. Regis was beautiful, adorned with classy, fancy furniture/other decor. We loved our room the best. Upon arrival to our room, we had noticed there were complimentary fruit (beautifully positioned in a silver bowl) and fruit jellies... More

This was a Five Star hotel stay in every way. We arrived in Rome very early (9am) - we did not expect to be able to check-in so early. The welcoming, smiling young gentleman at the front desk brought us to an area in the lobby where they had a lovely complimentary buffet of juices, coffee, pastries, etc. We spent... More

Me and my wife stayed at St. Regis on our honeymoon. Let me say 1st that this hotel is in a perfect location to the train station and metro stations. It is a very beautiful hotel and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We arrived early and left our luggage to explore rome. Once we came back we got... More

We loved our stay at the St. Regis in Rome. The staff is incredibly attentive. The hotel is stunning. It is a former grand hotel for royalty visiting Rome. The rooms are luxurious and the lobby incredible. The bathrooms are opulent with robes and slippers. Rome can be a busy place and hot in the summer. This hotel felt like... More

Hedonistic luxury, international elan, exemplary service, convenient location, old world ambience and the sheets smelled and felt like heaven! The perfect situation for getting to know Rome and the rest of Italy. I will return. P.S. The staff will gladly share the name of their laundry detergent!

We stayed in this hotel with our family. We had two adjoining rooms and they were very large. The hotel was VERY accommodating with all of our requests, and we were thrilled to have adjoining rooms because they can be very hard to come by. This hotel is over 100 years old and is SO beautiful. We would definitely recommend... More

Great hotel in a very good location. The staff was attentive and always helped with all of our needs. The rooms are a small, but to be expected from such and old property. We were in a Jr Suite paging €800 a night, I was hoping for a better view than looking at the back of buildings.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
