I have just completed a 3,500 kilom. trip all over Italy staying in 12 hotels and the Hotel Morgana Rome was definitely the worst hotes of all. The rooms shown on their website are nothing like what you get. The rooms are very small, dirty and nothing works, e.g. refrigerator, TV etc. I had requested a double room but it... More

Location is right next to train station, great location. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. I booked a quad room and was very small and dated. Other travelling in our party had rooms that looked to be refurbished and were ok.

Upon my arrival to the hotel, I was informed that I was being upgraded to the "master" suite. My excitement lasted until the receptionist told me that the suite was located in another building. The hotel had a portier to took me to this other building which was located around 100 meters from the main hotel. The bulding had a... More

the perfect location to get around town easily – near the train station and subway. Room very comfortable, but very slow elevators. poor soundproofing of the rooms, breakfast worthy of a station buffet, no blankets in rooms, leaking shower, no information on services: very far from standard 4 stars

We highly recommend the Hotel Morgana for its location and for the professional service they provide. A nice 4 stars hotel indeed! We've been assigned to a wonderful design room with plasma TV. Bed was so comfortable! Loved the breakfast! We now have a place to stay in Rome!

I have been at the Hotel Morgana for business for a few days. It is a very good Hotel: centrally located, with internet wireless connection in the rooms and in the lobby. There is no restaurant, but just in front of the Hotel there is another Hotel, the Ariston where the serve a great snack buffet in the evening. Rooms... More

This was my second visit to Hotel Morgana and this time with my sister. The staff was very helpful and upon arrival they gave us a one double bed but after pointing out that we requested separate beds they changed our rooms immediately to very nice twin bedded room. We had a wonderful stay and were treated with courtesy and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is a very short walk to the Termini Stazione, which is also where the Subway Lines A and B meet. We were able to see all of our sites easily by taking the metro. The hotel breakfast was great - a full, hearty breakfast to start the day of touring. We... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
